L&L�s House Bobbie: You should let me cook for you guys more, especially now that you�re expecting. Laura: I�m worried about this baby. Bobbie puts down the spoon she�s holding and walks over. Bobbie: What are you worried about? Laura: Well I still think Luke and I are a little old to have a baby. I mean I�ll be retired by the time its in high school. Bobbie sits down in a chair. Bobbie: Laura, don�t think like that. You remember how wonderful it was watching Lucky grow up. You can do that again. Laura looked up at her sadly. Laura, remember you�re going to feeling a lot of things in the next few months and mostly it�s just hormones. Laura: Lulu�s going to be upset about not being the baby anymore. Bobbie shrugs Bobbie: She�ll get over it. Look Laura, people don�t always stay the baby of the family. I was the baby of the family for years with Luke looking after me until our mother had another child. Laura stares at her. Laura: Bobbie, I didn�t know you two had a sibling. Bobbie nods sadly. Wow, Luke never told me. Bobbie: He lived three years. His name was Lewis. Laura: How did he die? Bobbie: Luke and I were playing ball one day. Lewis wasn�t old enough yet so we wouldn�t let him play. Luke threw the ball to me and I didn�t catch it. Lewis, trying to be like us, went after it and was hit by a truck. Bobbie frowns. Laura reaches over and touches Bobbie�s hand. Laura: Was he a lot younger than you two? Bobbie shrugs. Bobbie: I was six when he was born, Luke was ten. In fact I was almost seven so that would have made me almost Lesley Lu�s age. I was a little starved for attention at first, but I got used to it. Laura: Lulu�s my darling and I would never want to hurt her. Bobbie: Lulu�s had the two of you to herself for most of her life, I�m sure she�s extremely happy to get some of the attention off herself. I�ve noticed her becoming friends with Lois and Ned�s Brooke Lynn. She�s going to have a little sibling herself. You should encourage these friendships outside the family. Laura: I know. She sighs. I�m really sorry about that Bobbie. Bobbie smiles and walks over to Laura. They hug. Bobbie: If you need to talk, I�m always here. You know that Laura. Laura: Even though Luke and I aren�t married yet? Bobbie nods. Bobbie: Even then. A Suite in Bali Alexis unlocks the door. She takes Ned�s hand and leads him in the room. Ned glances around and then smiles at Alexis. Ned: Alexis, this is beautiful. Alexis smiles. Alexis: Look around, we�ve got the whole place. Ned raises his eyebrows. He glances into the bedroom. The he walks to the door across the room and opens the door. Ned: Alexis, this is almost paradise. The warm air blows against his face as the wind blows the tropical flowers. I love it. Alexis smiles. Alexis: I�m glad. He turns around and stares at her, inquiringly. Then he walks over to her. Putting his arms around her waist he kisses her. Then he looks back and looks into her eyes. Ned: Why did you bring me here? Alexis stares at him for a moment. Alexis: I need a reason? Ned raises an eyebrow. She just smiles at him. He steps back and glances at her in an Alexis-like white sundress. His eyes move to her face and he watches as her eyes dance as he watches her. Ned: You don�t need a reason I suppose, but you do look beautiful. Alexis smiles. She takes his hand and leads him outside. Alexis: Do I need a reason for bringing you to paradise? Ned stares at her for a moment, not noticing the movement in the brush. Alexis glances over that way and smiles. Ned follows her gaze. Chloe stands there, dressed in a light pink sundress. Ned: I didn�t realize we brought company with us. Alexis smiles and nods at Chloe. Chloe: You may have thought this was almost paradise. Well Ned, in actuality, it is paradise. Welcome to your wedding day. Ned stares at Alexis, who nods and smiles. Ned: Alexis? He raises an eyebrow. Alexis, I didn�t think you could do this. Alexis takes a deep breath and attempts a smile. Alexis: This way there�s no aisle. I told you if I could have just made it to you, everything would have gone smoothly. She takes his hands. Here�s how we�re going to do it. You�re going to hold my hands and never let go until it�s over. Ned smiles. Ned: That�s all? Alexis: If you would have just done that the first time� She smiles. Ned nods and glances at Chloe. Ned: All right, what else do we have planned? Alexis stares at Ned for a moment and then glances at Chloe. She nods. Chloe: Let�s get the show on the road. Ned glances at Alexis, who smiles up at him even though she is turning pale. Ned squeezes her hands. Kristina, Jason, Marie, Brenda, Jax, Simon, V and Brooke walk out of a variety of bushes. Alexis laughs as the shock registers on Ned�s face. Ned: Chloe, I can�t believe you did this. Chloe winks at Alexis. Alexis: Ned, Chloe just helped with the planning. All of this was my doing. I do want to be your wife and give our child a family. Ned leans down and kisses her. Jax: Wait a minute Ned, you�re a bit early. They laugh. Brooke walks over and hands Alexis a bouquet of flowers. Alexis lets go of one of Ned�s hands and takes it from her. Alexis: Thank you Brooke. Her other hand never moves from Ned�s. Ned: Do you want to do this without our families present? Alexis nods. Alexis: This is just for you and I. But, I did want our closest friends present because we wouldn�t be who we are or where we are without them. Ned glances over at them and nods. Ned: V, you�re looking well. V smiles as Simon puts his arm around. V: I�m doing well. I missed you two! I wish you could have come to our wedding. She glances up at Simon adoringly. However, ours was only attended by the two of us. Ned and Alexis smile. Ned: Well I�m glad to hear you are happy. He glances at Chloe. Okay Chloe, are we ready? Chloe nods. A minister walks out. Minister: Who are the bride and groom? Alexis and Ned wave their only free hands. They walk over to the minister and their other hands join. Jax kneels down and begins to take pictures as Brenda laughs. Names? Chloe: Alexis Natasha Davis and Edward Lawrence Ashton. The minister looks over at her and nods. Chloe moves back to stand with everyone else. *NOTE I�m going to skip a lot of the ceremony jazz and get right to the vows. Minister: Now the vows. Are we doing the book written vows or your own? Ned and Alexis glance at each other. Alexis: Well Lois did the usual ones. Ned: And Lois loves traditional weddings. This isn�t a traditional wedding. Alexis nods. We�re going to do our own vows. The minister nods. Minister: Alexis, you first. Alexis nods. She stares up at Ned for a moment and then smiles. Alexis: All my life I�ve been searching. Searching for a way to relieve myself of the memories of my childhood. Searching for something to believe in. In you, Ned, I have found both. You introduced the idea that family matters and that my family doesn�t always have to be called the Cassadines. You made me realize my purpose in life that I wasn�t just here to protect my family but that I could help people. You stayed with me through so much and� She sighs. Ned, I�m not like any other woman you married. I can�t just fall in love with another man. I don�t expect anything from you but love. By holding my hands all through this not only keeps me from running but also proves to me that you are here always and forever. I love you Ned. You are my soul mate and anytime you feel like seeing my soul all you have to do is ask. Ned smiles. Minister: Ned? Ned sighs. Ned: I�m not good with words or talking� I actually make a fool of myself most times. One thing I am good at is singing, so I�m going to sing you my vow. He glances at Chloe. Can you get my guitar? Chloe nods and leaves. Alexis, I am going to have to let go of your hands to play. She smiles. They sit down and she puts one hand on his knee. Alexis: This will do. Chloe hands Ned the guitar. Am I finally going to hear all of So Ready For Love? Ned smiles. Ned: No, but if you want I can sing that for you later. Alexis nods. Okay. Now I just finished this a little while ago so it�s not polished. Alexis smiles as if to say do you think I�ll care. Ned touches her hand and then begins to strum. The rings are exchanged. I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride. Jax gets out the camera. Kristina: Again. Brenda and V crack up. Ned cups Alexis�s face in his hands as she wraps her arms around his neck and they kiss. They glance at everyone smiling. Chloe: Alexis, you did it. Alexis breathes a sign of relief as Ned puts an arm around her. She looks at Chloe and mouths Thank You. Ned: Jax I hope those pictures come out well. He glances at Alexis. My family is going to have to look at all of them. Alexis smiles. Alexis: Mine is just not going to believe I got married. They laugh. Chloe walks over and hugs Alexis and then Ned. Alexis hugs Jax and then Kristina. Ned picks up Brooke. Ned: Princess, did you like the ceremony? Brooke smiles. Brooke: I liked your song Daddy. Ned glances over at Alexis and smiles. Alexis: Brooke can I have a hug? Brooke nods. Brooke: You are my step-mommy now. You don�t have to ask anymore. Chloe and Jax laugh. Ned hands his daughter over and Brooke gives Alexis a hug. Alexis sets Brooke down and hugs Marie. Brenda hugs Ned. Minister: Can I leave? Chloe turns around remembering that he�s there. Chloe: Oh right, thanks. We�ll be in touch. The minister leaves. Everyone laughs. Chloe puts her hand to her forehead. He must have thought I was crazy! Alexis: Well I�m sure he thought we were all crazy. Come on, my lovely vow was outdone by a song! Ned reaches over and brushes her cheek. Ned: You upset, Honey? Alexis smiles. She leans over and kisses his cheek. Alexis: No I thought it was beautiful. And to answer your question I would like to hear all of So Ready For Love later. Ned laughs. Alexis looks down at her left hand that now has a ring on it. I can�t believe I made it. I can�t believe I�m married. I can�t believe I�m now Alexis Ashton! Ned puts his arm around her. Ned: This is the way it was supposed to be. Alexis leans her head on his shoulder. Chloe smiles. Jax: Well this was nice but we should be heading home. He takes Brenda�s hand. Everyone leaves but Ned and Alexis. Ned takes Alexis�s hand and leads her back into their suite. Ned turns to Alexis. Ned: I can�t believe you did this. I know that we both want what is best for our child but I was so afraid that if I proposed I would lose you, and I couldn�t stand that. Alexis smiles. She reaches up and touches Ned�s cheek. Wyndemere Luke: Are you happy I came in through door of the bat cave this time? Stefan looks over and rolls his eyes. Stefan: I thought I was supposed to contact you if I wanted to become partners. Luke shrugs. Luke: I never heard from you and I really don�t want to waste time so I took it upon myself to come on over here. Stefan puts his papers down on the table. Stefan: Spencer, when I tell you something I mean it. Luke raises his eyebrows. However I was able to meet with Tracy Quartermaine. I was able to discover that she does have a hidden agenda and I�m sure it involves Ned Ashton and my sister. Luke nods. Luke: I don�t suppose she gave you any clue of what she�s after? Stefan shakes his head. Stefan: I was able to threaten her with her grandchild�s life. Luke stares at him and smiles. Luke: You threatened her? A man after my own heart! Stefan throws Luke a dirty look. Or my wife�s heart, whatever the case may be. Which grandchild did you used against her? Stefan: The only one that is alive at this point. I am not about to let her have any contact with Alexis�s child. Luke smirks. Luke: Are you planning on telling Alexis what to do, because I think she has other plans. Stefan: Alexis does? Tracy is just as bad as the rest of her family. If that child ever enters the Quartermaine household... Luke laughs. What is it Spencer? Luke: This sounds like you want Alexis to do what Lois did. Give me a break Alexis loves Ned, she�s not going to run out. Did you not see anything in Russia? This also reminds me of my niece, Carly�s predicament. Do you really think the old guy on the hill is any worse than most of your family? He at least wants to leave the world living when he takes charge. Stefan: I do not plan to let my family continue on as part of your joke, Spencer. Luke: Anyways, so you threatened little Brooke Lynn�s life. Stefan: Not her life, just that Tracy would never see her. Luke laughs. Luke: You need to threaten the girl�s life. Tracy can find ways to see the kid if she wants to. You�re not really going to kill the girl, because of course Alexis would kill you. She would too, remember she almost killed Kitty-Kat at one point. Stefan: I believe you had a hand in the matter. Luke: Eh, more or less. Stefan rolls his eyes. Well good then Stefan, you�ve done a good job. Stefan: I don�t need your congratulations. You need to get to Ned. Luke: No, you need to get to him. I can�t really explain why. The Jacks Jet Brenda and Jax sit in the cockpit. Brenda: That was a beautiful ceremony. She smiles. I hope when I get married, like actually married, that I have a beautiful ceremony too. How many times did I attempt it? Jax smiles and shrugs. Jax: You planning on getting married again soon? Brenda presses her lips together and looks over at him. Jax takes his focus off flying for a moment and smiles at her. You don�t have to respond. Brenda: Are you asking me to marry you? Jax laughs. Jax: No, not at all. I was being sarcastic. Brenda takes a deep breath, glancing fervently over at Jax. Don�t worry Brenda. Brenda: That�s good because� I mean I don�t think� Are we dating? Jax shrugs and glances over at Brenda. Jax: Do you want to be? Brenda glances out the window thinking. Brenda: Jax I love spending time with you. Really you�re a great guy and we�ve always had fun together. I think I�d rather that we were friends. Jax raises an eyebrow. Jax: Brenda I have to say I completely agree. I�m so glad that you are back because I love hanging around with you. Somehow while you were gone someone else came and captured my heart. I would never be able to give it to you no matter how hard I tried. Brenda smiles. Brenda: So we�re friends? Jax nods. Jax: The best of friends. Brenda leans over and kisses his cheek. Brenda: Good, I would never want to not be friends with you. I want to tell you now that I�m not doing this so I can go date Sonny. Jax glances at her. Jax: I never thought you were. Are you going to? Brenda shrugs. Brenda: I don�t know yet. I�ve spent most of my time getting to know you, Julia and Olivia so much better than I haven�t had time to spend with others. I don�t know what I�m going to do about Sonny. Jax: Well know that no matter what happens I�m always here for you. Brenda: That�s good to hear. Jax, you are the greatest. Jax: I didn�t get that reputation for no reason. Brenda laughs. Brenda: So Chloe, she�s nice. Jax glances over at Brenda. It is Chloe right? Jax nods. Jax: Chloe and I met through Ned and Alexis. I left her to chase after you and I never should have. When I got back she was angry with me and before I could redeem myself, Stavros stole her away. Chloe still has my heart though and I think I would like to try again with her. I just wanted to make sure that was best for you first because you were my first love. Brenda: Well thank you for thinking of me Jax. Thank Chloe too for me, for letting me borrow her guy for a few months so that I could figure things out. Jax nods. When are you going to tell her? Do you want me to go get her? I think she�s back there talking to Kristina and V. Jax takes Brenda�s hand. Jax: No, she wants to have time with her friends. Do you mind staying up here with me? I just want to have a friend by my side. Besides I have other plans for how to tell her. Brenda nods. Brenda: You always could be extravagant. Jax laughs. |
