PCPD Station Mac: I don�t know what to tell you Alexis, but its possible that Helena did not kill Katherine. Alexis: Dear G-d the woman has been dead for years Mac. Not enough evidence? Helena practically confessed to me that she did! Taggert: (leaning on a desk) But she didn�t did she? Alexis: Oh and I supposed you�re going to tell me that you have evidence to arrest me for her murder. Mac: No, Alexis, of course not. Alexis: Okay then. Well I don�t know what to tell you. Maybe I should go look for a bloody glove on the parapet, besides the fact that it�s rained in the past two years! (Scott walks in) But you�ll keep looking? (Mac nods) Scott: And keep her locked up too? Mac: Yeah her lawyer hasn�t realized any of this yet so we�ll keep her until he does. Scott: Who is representing her? Alexis shrugs. Phone rings. Taggert: PCPD� Alexis: Well I�ll make sure to let Stefan know. Mac: Yeah be sure and let us know if you come up with anything else. Alexis raises an eyebrow. Scott: Yeah we�ll be going now. Taggert slams down the phone. Mac: What�s up? Taggert: Q mansion� it was bombed! Mac jumps up and runs to get his coat. Alexis stands there for a moment, shocked. Scott: Alexis? Alexis: Ummm� can you take me home; I don�t know where my car is� Scott: Yeah sure come on� Alexis�s Penthouse Alexis: Kristina? Courtney? (Yelling) Kristina! (Kristina runs down the stairs) Kristina: What Alexis? What�s going on? Alexis: Where�s Courtney? Kristina: Doing something in her room. I don�t know. What�s going on? Alexis: Courtney! (Kristina grabs her sister�s elbow) Kristina: Alexis? Alexis looks to Scott for help. Scott: The Q mansion was bombed. Kristina gasps and grabs Alexis�s arm. Kristina: Ned! Alexis is Ned all right? Alexis glances at Kristina for a moment. Alexis: I don�t know. (Courtney runs down the stairs) Courtney: What�s going on? Scott: We�re going over to the hospital, the Q mansion was bombed. Courtney raises her eyebrows. Are you coming? Courtney: Yeah I guess so. Emergency Room Scott: grabs Karen�s arm. Karen? How are they? Karen: Oh Dad, I don�t know it�s crazy. Scott: No news? Karen: Well they already took Monica up to surgery as well as Lila. Skye�s on her way up. They�re still working on AJ, Alan and Reginald. The cook didn�t make it. Jax and Sonny are on their way in. Scott: Jax and Sonny? Karen: I guess they were there, finishing papers for ELQ or something. Thankfully Edward was already here recovering from his heart attack. I don�t think we�ve even told him what�s going on yet. Scott: What about Ned? Karen: Oh I think they�re bringing him in too. Kristina: But he�s all right. Karen looks at her. Karen: I�m sorry, I don�t know. Kristina nods and grips Alexis�s hand. Alexis stands frozen. Anyways, I have to go back. Just stick around, I don�t know what to say. Scott nods. Scott: Thanks sweetie. He leans over and kisses her on the cheek. Karen leaves. He turns around and looks at Alexis, Courtney and Kristina. Well let�s go over to the waiting area with everyone else, okay? Kristina nods and tugs on her sister�s arm to make her move. Waiting Room The room is full of people wanting to know what is going on. Kristina: I�m going to call Nikolas, should I call Stefan too? Alexis just stares. Alexis? Alexis looks up at her sister. Alexis: I don�t know. Scott pats Alexis�s hand. Scott: Why don�t you just stick with Nikolas? Kristina walks away. Alexis? Can I get you something? She shakes her head. Zander: Courtney, how did you find out? Courtney: Alexis was at the police station when they found out. Do you think Sonny�s okay? Zander: He�s made it through a lot of things like this, I�m sure he�ll be fine. Courtney nods. Do you want to come over and sit with Carly and I? Courtney: Sure. She looks back at Alexis and Scott. Scott: Go, I�ll take care of Alexis. Courtney nods and follows Zander. He puts his arm around Alexis who closes her eyes. Kristina: Mrs. Lansbury said that Nikolas and Gia are already on their way. Nikolas: Yes we are. Kristina turns around, realizing he�s right behind her, and hugs him and then Gia. Scott: Well I think I�ll call Lucy. As he stands, he looks down at Alexis. Nikolas: Thanks for bringing them here; we�ll take care of her. Scott nods and walks away. Nikolas touches Alexis�s shoulder. She looks up at them finally realizing they are there. Then she stands and hugs Gia and then Nikolas, letting herself hold Nikolas just a little longer. Nikolas: I forgot for a moment that Emily wasn�t there and I was really worried. Kristina: I�m glad you guys came for us. Smiles slightly. I know how much you dislike the Quartermaines. Nikolas: I think that�s Uncle you�re referring to. He smiles and puts his hand on Alexis�s shoulder. We will stay until you go home. Edward�s Room Melissa: Hello Mr. Quartermaine. Edward: Oh who let the sun shine into my room today? Melissa smiles. Melissa: There�s something I need to talk to you about Mr. Quartermaine. Edward: I don�t want to hear the word will out of you anymore dear. Melissa: Actually I came to talk to you about your family. Edward: Oh no, not that again! They were the ones who put me in here! Melissa: Calm down Mr. Quartermaine. I came to tell you something. Edward quiets. The mansion was bombed this evening. Edward: What?! He begins to get up. Melissa: Mr. Quartermaine� Bobbie: Edward, lay down! Edward does. Melissa: Thank you. Bobbie nods. Edward: My house? Bobbie: Your house is gone. I�m sorry Edward, but there was insurance. However, I think its going to Monica. Edward grumbles. Now would you like to know how your family is doing? Melissa: I�m sure he does. Bobbie: Edward? Edward: Yes, how are the horrible little disrespectful people doing? Bobbie shoots him a look and he quiets. Bobbie: Monica is out of surgery and she�s doing fine. Lila�s also doing surprisingly well. Edward: I�m glad about that. Bobbie: Good. Skye�s in critical condition, I can�t give you much more information than that. AJ is in surgery. Tony�s working on him, but it�s still too soon to tell. Edward: That kidnapper! Melissa looks at Bobbie shocked. Bobbie: Oh Edward, give it up! Jax will be just fine. Sonny�s in critical condition. Edward: What were those hoodlums doing in my house? Bobbie: How should I know? Now can I finish? Edward nods slowly. Alan�s still in surgery too. Ned�s going to surgery later, not enough Docs, and he�ll be in critical condition after that. Edward nods. She takes his hand. I�ll let you know as soon as I can. He nods. She looks up at Melissa. Take care of him. Melissa: Oh I will. Bobbie: Good. Ned�s Room Kristina and Alexis enter. Kristina walks up to the bed as Alexis stands back a ways. Kristina: Ned. I know you can�t hear me, but I�ll talk anyways. Alexis and I are very worried about you. You always ask what you mean to me� well you mean a lot, I guess I wouldn�t be here otherwise. She bites her lip. As she looks up, she realizes Alexis is still in the room and quiets, realizing she can�t say more. She takes a deep breath and quietly leaves the room. Alexis watches her go and says nothing. She stays there, standing in the dark. Waiting Room Carly: I don�t understand why I can�t go see him! Bobbie: Carly, you�ve been here before. Until we announce that he�s in stable condition, you�ve got to stay out here. Carly: Mother! Zander: Carly, just listen to her. Come on, lets go back and sit with Courtney. Carly: Zander, Sonny could be dying. I�m the mother of his son. Why did Alexis get to go see him? Bobbie: Alexis went to see Ned. I�ll see what I can do, but give him a little time before� Carly: Before what? Before I totally lose him to Alexis? Bobbie: Carly, just let me do my job. I�ll come back in a little while okay? Carly rolls her eyes. Carly: Fine. Bobbie looks at Zander, who puts his arm around Carly. Courtney: He�s going to be fine? Bobbie: Of course he will, dear. Courtney sighs. Nikolas walks over. Nikolas: Hey, Courtney, right? Courtney: Yeah. She�s suspicious. Oh I remember from that caf�. Nikolas: Yeah. Well then you must remember my fianc�, Gia. Courtney nods and looks back and forth between the two of them. Bobbie: Well I�ve got to be getting back to work. Smiles at Zander. Your aunts are in Ned�s room. Nikolas nods. She walks away Courtney: Your aunts? You�re related to Alexis and Kristina? Nikolas: Yeah, they�re my father�s sisters. Courtney: Oh. Well I should go find them. Nikolas: Why don�t you stay with Gia and me? Courtney: I�m not a little kid that needs to be looked after. Zander: I think he knows that Courtney. He just thought you�d want to hang out with people your own age. Nikolas looks at Zander greatfully. Courtney: My brother�s hurt and you�re talking about hanging out? Gia: Courtney, we know that doesn�t sound right, but we as long as we all need to talk about this, we figure that it will be better to talk to each other. Courtney puts her hair behind her ear. Nikolas�s cell phone rings. Nikolas: Hello? Hey! Yeah we�re all here. Uh, sure. Just give me a few minutes. He hangs up. Hey, Gia there�s something I gotta do. Why don�t you see if you can get Courtney over to my aunts or find my brother or something? Gia: Sure. Courtney rolls her eyes. Nikolas leaves. Courtney: I still feel like you guys are trying to take care of me or something. Carly: They tend to do that. Courtney: Fine, lets do whatever. Gia: Okay then. ICU Waiting Room Jax: Did you go in to see Ned yet? Alexis: Of course, and he�s been through surgery and everything. Kristina�s in with him now. Jax: You�re not going to tell me that you�re just waiting around to take Kristina and Courtney home, are you? Alexis sighs. Alexis: What do you want me to say Jax? Jax: No, nothing to me, but what do you want to say to Ned? She rolls her eyes. Oh come off of it Alexis. I am so sick of trying to convince the two of you to tell the truth. Alexis: Then give it up! She reaches up and takes his hand. How are you? Jax: I�m fine. My arm�s in a cast but other than that all is well. She notices his other arm. So does the PCPD actually have any leads? Alexis: None that I know of, but I could be wrong. Jax: You�re probably right. She nods. Well let�s go see him; it will be just like old times. She smiles. Alexis: Old times, huh? The fab four? Jax: (quietly) Of course one of the fab four is not around anymore. Alexis stands and gives him a hug. Alexis: I miss Chloe. Jax nods. Jax: So do I. He takes her hand and squeezes it. Let�s make do with what we have. Alan�s Room Bobbie: Your surgery went very well. Alan: I�m so glad that my whole family is doing so well. Bobbie: Well your wife and mother are doing wonderfully. Alan smiles. But your daughter, Sonny and Ned are still critical. There�s a knock on the door and Emily and Nikolas walk in. Alan: Emily! She runs over and hugs him. Oh darling you�re walking. Emily: Of course I am Dad, I told you I was! He touches her cheek. Alan: I know but it�s so wonderful to see. Nikolas, thank you so much for bringing her. Nikolas: I just picked her up from the airport; it was her decision to come in town. Alan: Well thank you anyways. Bobbie walks over and squeezes Emily�s hand. Bobbie: It is wonderful to see you doing so well. Emily: Thank you. Bobbie walks over and hugs Nikolas. Bobbie: Well I need to go check on other members of your family. Alan: Send my love to them all. Bobbie leaves. Emily: It was so awful to hear what happened. I couldn�t believe it. I�m so sorry that cook died. Thanksgiving won�t be the same without her. Alan: Why, because we�ll have turkey? Emily smiles with tears in her eyes. Nikolas: Well I should go find my family. Reginald pushes Monica in. Monica: No, stay Nikolas. It�s the least we can do for you bringing Emily home to us. Emily: Mom. She runs over, leans down and hugs Monica. Hey Reginald. Reginald: Hey Emily, it�s good to see you. Monica takes Alan�s hand. Monica: It�s so good to have our family together again. Emily: Well not quite. But I miss just the three of us. She turns around and looks at Nikolas. It�s so good to come back and see my friends still here. He smiles softly. I�m definitely home for a good while this time. Alan: That�s good to hear sweetie. Ned�s Room Jax: He hasn�t woken up yet. Kristina shakes her head. Kristina: Dr. Lambert said he should wake up soon. She holds his hand tightly. Alexis and Jax walk over to the other side of the bed. Alexis takes his other hand as Jax puts his arm around her shoulders. Jax: Don�t worry Alexis; I�m sure that Chloe and Brenda are also hoping that he�ll stay down here. Alexis: (whispering) I shouldn�t be here. Jax: Of course you should, I�m sure he�d like nothing better than to wake up and look into your eyes. Alexis glances up slowly and meets Kristina�s eyes with her own. Alexis: I�m not the one he�s going to be looking for. Kristina looks down, pain in her eyes. Kristina: Yes you are. You know that Alexis, you KNOW that! You and I, we both want the same thing, Ned�s happiness. Every time he thinks he�s lost you again, there�s a deep pain in his eyes. If I were here when that face held as much love as it did pain, I would know just as much as Jax that the two of you are meant for each other. Alexis: Kristina� Kristina: Alexis, I know you love me and that you want what�s best for me. I didn�t come to Port Charles looking for love other than yours, Stefan�s and Nikolas�s. It�s enough for me because I will find that one true love. The one that I could never bear knowing I�ve lost. Now let me do this Alexis. Let me give you the only thing I�ve ever been able to give you. Kristina squeezes Ned�s hand one more time and then turns and runs out of the room. Jax: Well I think I can leave you here with him. Alexis nods. Alexis: Jax, I love her. Make sure she means what she just said. Jax: I will. He touches her cheek softly and then leaves. Alexis grips Ned�s hand with both of hers. Alexis: Oh Ned, how did we get here? How did we get from that cold Christmas in �96 to now? How did you go from being the only one I trusted to the only one I trusted with my sister? When did we lose what we had? Why could we never put back together what we had? Was it Sonny? Was it Kristina? She wipes a tear away. When I think back, every moment with you puts a smile on my face. How did I ever think I wouldn�t love spending every moment with you? I remember that love we had. It seems like a faint memory but it still exists. I still can feel it deep down inside. Every time you walk into a room or smile at some joke of Kristina�s or dream about the future, my heart aches. I know I can go back to then, to those glorious days when all that mattered was fun and each other. Kristina has brought something to my life. She�s given me the knowledge that freedom doesn�t hurt. Stefan�s already realized it and now it�s my turn. |
