~ The Mere Thought ~ L&B Studios Its been almost a week since Ned and Alexis talked about the prospective of having a child. The more Ned thought about it the more he realized the timing just wasnt right. What with the wedding, this whole Eddies Angel stuff. Alexis scared that she might have been pregnant not knowing if she wants to be or not. What am I an insensitive idiot or something? How the hell could I have even asked her to consider such a request? Ned yelled to himself as he threw the papers in his hands across the room. You know talking to yourself and throwing things isnt a good sign. Nikolas stated as he walked in the door. Ned turned and looked at him. Good morning Nikolas. Nikolas began picking up the papers. Id say a better morning for some of us then others. Ned didnt say a word as he sat on the couch, placing his hands over his face. Nikolas dropped the papers on the table in front of him. I take it the fight was that bad? The fight? Ned asked with a confused look upon his face Nikolas sat down next to him. Yea the fight you apparently had with my Aunt. What on earth makes you think were fighting? Things between Alexis I havent been better. Ok then whats with the remark you made as I came in? Ned got up and walked over to the coffee machine. Alexis and I just had a premature conversation and it really should have never taken place. And shes upset with you about it? No, actually she hasnt said a word about it in days. Then shes probably forgotten about it. Ned hands Nikolas a cup of coffee. Oh trust me Nikolas I highly doubt shes forgotten. Does it have something to do with the wedding? No more like our life after the wedding. Ned stated as he walked into the backroom leaving behind a very confused Nikolas. ~*~ Alexis Penthouse Alexis is sitting on her couch with her feet up on the coffee table holding a large pillow in her lap. Her eyes are shut and her breathing is slowing down but she isnt fully asleep. Her eyes open slightly and a smile comes across her face as the door bell rings. Alexis throws the pillow to the side and slowly gets up making her way to the door. Well if it isnt my darling ex-wife looking more gorgeous then ever. Alexis eyes lit up even more brightly as she threw herself into Jaxs arms. What on earth are you doing here? She yells. And wheres Chloe? Jax took her hand and lead her over to the couch. Im back because I havent heard from Chloe in days and was starting to worry. What do you mean havent heard from her? A paranoid Alexis asked. I thought the two of you were together in Paris. We were but I had something I had to do and well lets just say we parted ways. You broke up with Chloe? I cant believe she hasnt contacted you about it. I thought youd be the first person shed call. Why didnt you bother to call me yourself, and clue me in? Personally because I didnt want to listen to my ex-wife tell me what a big mistake I was making. Alexis was about to say something when Jax grabbed her hand. Forget about Chloe and me for a minute will ya and tell me whats happening with you and that stick in the mud you love so much. Alexis laughed slightly. Well that stick in the mud and I have finally decided to do it. Like you havent done it enough. Jax laughed out. Alexis smacked his shoulder. Not that Jax, weve decided to get married. No way you and Ashton are actually going to tie the knot. He gave her a big hug. The next thing youll be telling me is the two of you plan on buying a house with a white picket fence, two dog's and a few children running around. Alexis broke the hug and uncomfortably got off the couch. Dont tell me Ashton bought you a house with a white picket fence? Alexis just shook her head no. He bought you a couple of dogs? She just shook her head no again. Jax jumped up from the couch. Oh my god youre pregnant? NO! Alexis screamed. Okay then Im lost. Why are you being so evasive? Ned and I talked about having a baby but thats really as far as the conversation went. Let me guess you want one and he doesnt. Actually is kinda like the other way around or at least it was. Im sorry Alexis but your losing me here. Alexis took a deep breath and leaned against the arm of the chair. The only reason the aspect of having children came up....between Ned and myself ...... is because I. Well I thought there might be a small chance..... ok a big chance that I was ...... Pregnant! Jax yelled since she couldnt bear to spit it out. Yes! But youre not. No Im not and I didnt realize how much not being so was going to effect me. She paused for a second trying to catch her breath. Or worse yet how it was going to effect Ned. I take it Ned liked the idea of the two of you having a baby. Not a first no. I mean at first he wasnt sure how he felt but once we found out that I wasnt, he wanted us to try and have one. And I take it by the look on your face that isnt what you want. At first no, the mere thought of having a child, especially a half Quatermaine half Cassidine child frightened me. And now? Jax asked as he walked closer to her. She looked up at him and smiled. Jax just before you rang the doorbell I was sitting on the couch daydreaming about me Ned and this prefect little baby sitting in the sand laughing. We were the perfect family, with a perfect life and nothing could touch us. And you dont think you can have that, do you? Jax when Im with Ned and hes holding me telling me how much he loves me and what a good person I am I believe it is possible. But when he isnt around? Im scared to death that Ill never have anything close to what I see in my dreams. |
