CHAPTER ONE ~ A SMALL ROMANTIC GETAWAY ~ Ned and Alexis are kissing as they walk through the door of a very romantic Inn. Alexis breaks the kiss �Ned this is perfect.� She replies as she walks away. He grabs her and holds her back. �The only thing perfect in this room is you.� He adds as he lips touch hers. Alexis again breaks the kiss, which upsets Ned until he realizes the bellboy is still in the room. �Thank you so much.� Ned states as he tips the boy. �Thank you sir.� The boy replies. �And if you need anything my name is Greg. �He adds before leaving the room. Alexis walks out onto the balcony. �Wow it�s peaceful out here.� Ned walks behind her and places his hands around her waist. �Are you glad you agreed to come away with me?� She lays her head back against his shoulder. �And when have I ever regretted going anywhere with you?� �I brought you out here for one reason and one reason only.� Alexis laughs. �Oh trust me Mr. Ashton I already knew that.� �Actually that wasn�t what I was talking about.� He seductively states as she turns in his arms and they kiss passionately. Alexis pulls her lips slightly from his. � Really and just what did you have in mind?� His lips are lightly pressing against hers and he�s having trouble speaking. �I love your idea so much better.� He replied as they slowly took each other in and slid down to the balcony floor. ~*~ Ned and Alexis are now inside lying on the couch in front of a roaring fire. Only a small thin blanket covers them. �What are you staring at?� Alexis ask Ned looks up at her. �How beautiful the shape of you�re body is.� Alexis blushes. �It�s amazing how you can see every curve of you�re body with the help of the light of the fire.� Alexis buried her face in his chest as her hair partially covered his face. �Can we stay here forever?� �Forever is an awful long time.� He replies as he brushes her hair from his face. �It�s even longer if we�re not together.� �Did I ever say I planned on going away?� He kissed her forehead. �Let alone allowing you to go anywhere?� �I love you Ned Ashton.� �Then marry me.� Alexis couldn�t believe what she heard as she sat up straight and looked him in the eyes. Slowly he got off the couch and down on one knee. He looked at her and couldn�t help but smile as he pulled her engagement ring off her finger. Ned held the ring up in front of himself. �This ring is suppose to symbolize our love for one another and our agreement to one day comment our life to one another.� Alexis found it hard to breathe but was able to spit out. �Ned� before he cut her off with a kiss. Ned then placed a finger over her lips. �Alexis Davis I love you with all my heart and soul. I don�t know where I�d be without you in my life but I know deep down inside my heart where it counts I wouldn�t have been better off.� He takes her hand along with his own and places it over his heart. �I need you to complete me as much as I believe you need me to complete you. We are indeed soul mates.� He takes a deep breath and looks her in the eyes. �Will you Alexis Davis make me a complete person by agreeing to become my wife?� Alexis closes her eyes, almost like she doesn�t think she is that worthy of being loved. Ned waits for her to open them again and as soon as she does he says the words she never dreamed he�d ever say. �Alexis Davis will you marry me?� The water slowly fills her eyes. �Ned I love you but...........� �I love you too.� He replies cutting her off �and no buts will be excepted here. Either you will or won�t become my wife.� �I have loved you for so long and honestly never........Ever thought you would ask me to marry you.� �Alexis I know I have practically destroyed your life with this whole �Eddie Angel� business and I am so sorry.� He kisses her lightly on the cheek. �And I honestly believe once we are married it will all go away.� Alexis� heart nearly sinks as she realizes that the only reason he�s even considering marrying her is to avoid the press. She�s about to say no as he looks her in the eyes making her second guess her originally thought and without warning she blurts out �Yes......yes I�ll marry you.� Ned smiles widely causing his dimples to go into overdrive as he places the ring on her finger. They smile so brightly at each other that they almost crack up before his lips over take hers. ~*~ ~ THE NEXT MORNING ~ Alexis is sleeping peacefully against Ned as he gently rubs her bare back. He then places tiny kisses on top of her head as he takes in the smell of her hair. �So are we really engaged this time or what.� A sleeping Alexis mumbles. �Or what!� Ned replies. �See my plan is to get married before we leave this Island.� Alexis jumped up and looked at him. �Come again.� �I want to get married today.� �Ned we can�t I don�t have a dress, you don�t have a Tux Jax and Chloe aren�t around.........� Ned grabs her and pulls her down into a kiss. �My love those are all minor details that can be taken care of with a few simple phone calls and a trip to the store.� Alexis looked at him like he was crazy. �You seriously want to get married today.� �Alexis Davis the sooner we�re married the sooner this whole �Eddie Angel� nightmare will go away.� He kisses her again. �Besides I didn�t book the honeymoon suite without a hidden agenda.� Alexis looks paranoid as she lays her head back down on his chest. �So we�re really getting married today!� �That�s the plan.� �Well then.� Alexis replies as she kisses him quickly and crawls out of bed. �I guess we should get dressed and start making arrangements.� As Alexis walks into the bathroom and turns on the shower Ned pulls the covers back his body and yells. �I love you Alexis Davis!� |
