CHAPTER 13

About a week has past and Alexis has been desperately trying to figure out a way to make sure Sorel pays for what he�s done.

She�s sitting in the middle of her living room floor with law books and papers scattered everywhere when there�s a knock at the door.

�Damn it.� She states to herself as she gets off the floor and throws her glasses on the table. �Coming� She yelled as she made her way over to it and opened it.

�Well it took you long enough.�

�Ned� Alexis screamed as she threw her arms around his neck. �What are you doing out of the hospital? I thought Monica said you had to stay there for at least another week?�

�What can I say I missed these arms of yours around me.� He stated before pushing her back and placing his hand under her chin pulling her lips to his. �And the taste of these sweet lips.�

Alexis kissed him lightly and then pulled him over to the couch and made him sit down.

�Do you think you could decorate my place as well?� Ned sarcastically replied as he looked the room over.

�Ha ha very funny. Now tell me how on earth did you get Monica to let you out? And why didn�t you call me I would have come and gotten you?�

�I wanted to surprise you.� He said as he tried to pull her into another kiss.

�Well you did that alright but you should have called me.�

�Will you shut up and kiss me already, I�m an injured man and I don�t know how much more I can take.�

�Does it hurt anywhere.� She asked very concerned.

�Yes it does.� He pouted in return.

�Where?� She asked and then began rambling. �Would you like me to get you a pillow so you can lay down or would you rather go upstairs and lye down ,.,.,.,.,.,. oh no that wouldn�t be a good idea because you just got out of the hospital and really shouldn�t be walking up the stairs. Do you have some medicine to take?� She asked as she got up. �I can go get you a glass of water.�

Ned grabbed her hand and pulled her back down.

�Okay so water is out well then ............�

Ned placed his finger over her lips causing her to stop short.

�First thing you need to do is catch you�re breathe.�

Ned and Alexis inhaled and exhaled together

�Good, now if you want to make me feel better the best way to do that is to kiss my lips because they so ache for your touch.�

Alexis smiled lightly before bringing her lips closer and closer to his, until they touched. Just then her phone rang and she pulled away.

�Damn I hate cell phones.� She yelled as she reached behind her and picked it up.

�You and me both.� He exhausted as he threw his head back against the couch.

�Alexis Davis.�

�Hi Alexis it�s me Monica. I was just wondering if you�ve spoken to Ned at all today?�

�Actually he�s right here if you�d like to speak with him.�

Ned placed his hand over his face.

�I�d love to speak with him.� Monica stated very upset.

Alexis didn�t say a word to her as she handed Ned the phone. �It�s Monica and she seems rather upset.�

Ned took the phone from her and reluctantly placed it up to his ear. �Hey Monica what�s new?�

�Oh don�t give me that Ned Ashton! You know darn well why I�m calling!�

�Monica don�t worry everything will be fine and I�ll call you if I need you.� Ned quickly spoke then hung up.

�What was that all about?� Alexis asked

�Monica is a little upset with me.�

�About what?�

�Well......... remember before you saying something about me not coming home for at least another week?�

Alexis shook her head yes while looking him in the eyes. �Ned Ashton you didn�t?�

�I did.�

Alexis got up grabbed his hand and pulled him to his feet. �Well you�re going back.�

Ned sat back down causing Alexis to get him a very stern look. �I don�t need a hospital to make me well all I need is you.�

�I need you too.� She replied lovingly before yelling. �That�s why I�m taking you back to the hospital.�

�I promise if you let me stay I�ll be good.� Ned pouted while titling his head and flashing his dimples which he knew melted her heart.

Alexis sat back down next to him. �It�s not that I don�t want you to stay Ned it�s just I can�t give you what you need.�

Ned grabbed her around the waist and pulled her close which caused him some slight pain but he refused to let her see it. �What is it going to take for you to understand you�re all I'll ever need?� He whispered in her ear.

�Oh Ned.� She replied as she threw her arms around his neck and began to cry. �I love you so much.�

�Does that mean you aren�t gonna take me back to the hospital?�

Alexis pulled back just enough to look at his face. �No I�m not going to make you go back.� He wiped some tears from her cheeks. �It doesn�t mean I agree with you....... but you don�t have to go back if you don�t want to.�

�I don�t want to!� He pouted. �I want to stay her with you.�

She looked him deep in his eyes. �As long as you want, when ever you want.�

�Do you mean that?�

�With all my heart.� She replied as he kissed her forehead.

�Good because I don�t plan on ever leaving.�

�What?� Alexis asked shockingly

�I want to stay her with you and not just for tonight or till I get well .......... but permanently.�

�As in........�

�Live together.� He stated finishing her unspoken sentence.

The tears fell quickly from her eyes as the concept of his words sunk in.

�What is it Alexis?� He asked suddenly concerned

�I just.........�

�Just what?� He asked after a long pause.

�Just didn�t know ........... the fight we had............. I didn�t know if you truly knew ........�

�Knew what Alexis and what fight?�

�The fight we had before the shooting�

Ned tried his hardest to figure out what she was talking about but still had no clue.

�I told you I was going to represent Zander.�

Ned thought for a second. �Ok.....will deal with that someway.�

Alexis looked at him for a brief second before speaking. �you don�t remember the fight at all do you?� Ned shook his head no. �What was said or any part of it?�

�I�m sorry sweetheart but no I don�t and if I said anything that hurt you I�m sorry.�

Alexis wiped her face with a tissue and then wrapped her arms around him. �No Ned you didn�t say anything that hurt me.�

�Tell me what I said Alexis!� Ned said in a very firm tone.

�I isn�t important, all that�s important is us here and now.�

Ned pushed her back and made her look him in the eyes.

�We were fighting and I told you I loved you and you basically questioned my love for you.� She said as she once again began to cry.

�Oh baby I wish I could remember.� He pulled her close again. �I really do and I know you love me.� He kissed the side of her head. �I say hurtful stupid things sometimes and for that I am so so sorry.�

Alexis stopped crying and looked at him. He gently placed his hand on the side of her face. She took both her hands grabbed his face and pulled him into a deep full blown kiss.

Ned then began chewing on her neck and unbuttoning her blouse.

�Ned we can�t you just got out of the hospital.�

Ned pushed her shirt from her shoulder and pushed her back. �I don�t care I want to show you just how much your love means to me.� He pulled his shirt over his head and made a painful sound.

�Ned it�s to early.�

�Let me be the judge of that.� He replied before kissing her once again and freely roaming his hands further down her body!
