Chapter 25 The next morning Alexis rolls over to find Ned not in bed next to her. She looks up to see him talking quietly on the phone on the other side of the room. Alexis: (joking) Taking with your lover? Ned: (turning around on smiling) I'll see you soon. (he hangs up and walks over to the bed) Alexis: Planning on going somewhere? Ned: (lying on top of her) Not without you. Alexis:(laughing) Sorry I don't do threesomes! Ned: (kissing her and grabbing her hands to pull her up) Something tells me that you might just change your mind. Alexis: (looking completely confused) What are you up to Mr Ashton. Ned: Get dressed we're going down to breakfast. Alexis:(pulling him back down) I'd rather have breakfast in bed. Ned: (given in) fine then we'll go out after breakfast. Alexis:(whispering in his ear) Maybe! Scene II Ned has finally convinced Alexis to get out of bed and they are just finishing getting dressed when someone knocks on the door. Alexis:Who could that be? Ned: (smiling) I don't know.....why don't you open it and see. Alexis: (looking at Ned) What have you done? Ned: Alexis answer the door! Alexis: (opening the door and smiling) My baby.....(she takes the baby).........V, Simon what are you doing here? V: This was all Ned's idea he knew you would never last two weeks without your baby.(Alexis smiles at Ned) Ned: (walking over and placing his arms around her) V, Simon and Christopher are staying just down the hall. Alexis; I love you. Thank you so much. Simon: Well Ned said that you guys wanted to spend time with the baby so V and I are going sight seeing well see you around four. Ned: Thanks guys, four will be great, have fun. (they leave) Alexis: I don't what we'd do without them. Ned: (walking over to her and taking her hand) Come on sit on the couch with me! (they sit) Give me Christopher. (she hands him the baby) Now open this. (he hands her the present from last night) Alexis: (opening) It's beautiful. (it's a gold ring with a sapphire in the shape of a cross on it, attached to a gold rope chain.) Ned: Read the inside. Alexis:To Christopher Edward Ashton Love Mom & Dad. Ned: (he takes it and places it over Christopher's head) See now he has a ring with protective powers to watch over him. Alexis:(crying) From anything and everyone. (she places her head against Ned' chest and kisses Christopher's forehead) Scene III The Greece Island. Stefan: Are you sure she's dead. Aires: Yes sir...... I'm sorry. Stefan:(coldly) Where is she? Aires: I'll take you to her. They walk down a long cold dark hallway to the master bedroom. Stefan is shocked to see her so lifeless. Stefan: She appears dead. (touching her body) She's cold and has no pulse. (he lends down and puts his face against hers) She's not breathing. Aires: I assure you Mr Cassidine Helena is dead. Stefan: You understand why I just couldn't take your word for that over the phone. Aires: Yes sir. Stefan:Have the plans been made to bury her. Aires: Yes sir, she shall be buried in the morning. Stefan: Fine I won't be satisfied with her supposed death until she is deeply buried in the ground. Scene IV The next morning Stefan watches as he sees his mother being slowly buried in the ground. While the men are throwing dirt on her casket Stefan throws a red rose on her. Stefan: Well mother I guess even you can't get out of this one. Ned and Alexis have just arrived home from their honeymoon. Alexis: (holding Ned) Promise me we can go away again some time soon. Ned: I promise, is there any place special you'd like to go. Alexis; Nope......I don't care where we go. (she kisses him).............As long as I have my family I'll be happy. (she walks over to the couch) Ned: (following her) I know that all I need is you and Christopher and I'll be happy. Alexis: When are Simon and V suppose to bring Christopher home? Ned; (kissing her neck) Not till tomorrow. Alexis: Tomorrow? Ned: Yep........I told her I wanted you all to myself on our first night home and she agreed to watch him. Alexis: (seductively) And just what do you plan on doing to me that you couldn't do with a baby around? Ned: (throwing her across him and lying on top of her) I'll show ya. Scene II Ned and Alexis are sitting on the couch wrapped in a sheet after making love for hours when there's a knock on the door. Ned: Do you think if we ignore it they will leave? Alexis: I thought you told me your family wasn't expecting us till later this week. Ned: They're not. (another knock) well who ever it is they don't plan on leaving. (he puts on his sweets and hands Alexis his shirt) (yelling) I'll be right there! (he walks over and answers the door) Ned: What do you want? Stefan:I need to see my sister, may I come in. Ned: Well since you probably won't leave without seeing her, come on in. Alexis: Stefan! (shocked) Why are you here? Stefan: To tell you Helena is dead. Ned: Now there's a blessing in disguise. Alexis: Ned behave yourself. (looking at Stefan) Are you sure? Stefan:Yes, I watched them bury her.........my mother is indeed dead. Ned: (opening the door) Thanks for the update now if you don't have anything else to tell her then you can just leave. Alexis: Ned!..... Stefan are you alright? Stefan: I'm fine. I just thought you'd like to know. Good day! (he leaves Ned slams the door behind him) Scene III Alexis: You know Ned it wouldn't kill you to be nice to him. Ned; yes it would. Alexis: (yelling) Ned I'm serious!...... Stefan didn't have to come over hear and tell us about Helena he did it for me. Ned: I don't like what he does for you! I'm just glad Helena's dead and I don't have to worry about some sicko running around trying to kill you! Alexis: whatever! (she starts to walk away but he grabs her waist) Ned: I'm sorry.......next time I see him I'll try to be nice.......Now I don't want to fight with you on our first night home. (they kiss and she begins to laugh) What's so funny. Alexis: I just realized that we had our first fight as Husband and wife. Ned: (contemplating) Your right we did.....(he grabs her hand and runs with her upstairs) Now lets go make up! Scene IV Helena's yacht somewhere in South Africa. Helena: Did my son by it? Aires: Yes ma'am. Helena: (smiling oh so evil) Good,as soon as I'm better I well make them all pay!
