Chapter 21 Three weeks later they finally get to bring the baby home from the hospital. Alexis is sitting downstairs on the couch breast feeding the baby when Ned walks downstairs and sits next to her. Ned: Looks more like he's sleeping then eating. Alexis: This isn't as easy as I thought it would be. Ned: You didn't have this much trouble in the hospital, did ya? Alexis: No it's not that. Ned: then what is it? (Alexis looks embarrass) What? You can tell me anything, I think by now you should know that. Alexis: My breast hurts real bad. Ned: (placing his arms around her and hugging her) I'm sorry........you know you could always stop and give him a bottle. Alexis: I know but I really wanted to do this. (just then there's a knock on the door) Ned: (getting up) Here place the blanket over you and I'll see who it is. Alexis: (getting up) No that's okay I think I'll just lay him down, like you said he's rather sleep anyway. Ned: (Smiling at her and opening the door) Hey come on in. Emily: Grandmother said you brought the baby home can I see him....... please? Ned: Of course Alexis just took him upstairs, why don't you go on up. I need to make a phone call anyway. Emily goes upstairs and Ned dials a number on his cell phone. Ned: Hey it's Ned. Have you heard anything? Sonny: (on the other end) Sorry I haven't heard a thing. It's like she just vanished. Ned: the only problem with people who vanish........... they somehow always come back. Sonny: I'll let you know the minute I hear anything. Ashton listen don't let this get to you, it's been weeks and we haven't heard anything I think you should take that as a good sign. Ned: I'll try thanks Sonny. Scene II Alexis is holding Christopher in her arms and is sound a sleep on the bed when Ned walks in. Ned: (to him self) Now that's a picture. God what did I ever do to deserve the two of you. (he walks over to her and brushes the hair out of her face) Alexis: Hey! Ned: Hey I didn't mean to wake you. Alexis: That's okay. I wasn't sleeping. I heard you mumbling to yourself. Ned: (picking up the baby and placing him in the bassinet) You did, did you? Alexis: Yep, and if you come here I'll tell you what you did.(walks over and sits with her) You loved me. Ned: (kissing her) and I still do. Alexis: Ned make love to me. Ned: isn't to soon for that? I believe the doctor said no sex for six weeks, it's only been three. (she gives him a sad look) I don't want to hurt you Alexis. I make you a deal. Alexis: What? Ned: we still have three weeks left right. (she nods her head) Well three weeks is more then enough time to plan a small quite wedding. (grinning) Just think about the honeymoon it will be like making love all over again for the first time. Alexis: That sounds wonderful but I never agreed to marry you, and you never gave me a........ Ned: (pulling out a small box and sitting up) Ring? (her eyes light up) Alexis Davis will you do me the honor of becoming my wife. We you love me and take care of me for the rest of my life? Alexis: Yes I'll become your wife. (he slips the ring on her finger and kisses her pushing her back on to the bed and lying on top of her) You know you still never asked me to marry you. Ned: Fine be that way............ Alexis Davis Will you marry me? Alexis: No! Ned starts tickling her and she screams. Ned: Shah you're going to wake the baby. Alexis: (laughing) Then stop tickling me. Ned: Not until you say yes! Alexis: (laughing)Okay okay Yes I'll marry you. Ned: I'm sorry I didn't hear you did you say something? Alexis: (laughing so hard) Yes Yes Yes a hundred times yes, Now stop tickling me. (he stops) That's better now since you seem to follow directions so well........Make Love to Me! Ned: We can't do that......(with a evil look in his eyes) So I guess I'll just have to........ Alexis: Don't you even dare. Ned: Tickle you. (he begins to tickle her again and she screams) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 22 Ned & Alexis' wedding day. (the beach) It's nearly six and the sun is beginning to set. Causing a beautiful backdrop across the water, for an already lovely occasion. As the minister stands with his back against the water Ned and Alexis stand in front of him with Jax & V standing besides them. In attendance is Emily (whose holding Christopher), Nickolas, Elizabeth, Simon, Reginald Lila and Brooklynn. Ned: (reciting his own wedding vows) Alexis as I stand here and look into those beautiful eyes of yours I'm faced to fall in love with you all over again. You opened a place in my heart that I never thought anyone could touch, let alone that I even knew I had. You showed me the true meaning of love, trust and desire, without you I'd have no reason to keep on living. You've giving me everything from your love to your soul to our son and for that I can never repay you except with the promises I make thus on our wedding day. To respect you, honor you, trust you, and completely love you till death shall we part. (placing the ring on her finger) With this ring I thee wed. Alexis: (reciting her vows with tears in her eyes) Ned as I stand here and listen to the most beautiful words you've ever said to me I can't help but fall in love with you all over again either. You taught me how to float, how to dream, how to love and most importantly how to be loved. If it weren't for you I'd never know what true love really is and for that I am beyond grateful. I love you and the son you have given me and with that I promises to respect you, honor you, trust you, and completely love you till death shall we part.(placing the ring on his finger) With this ring I thee wed Minister: Do you Ned Ashton take this woman Alexis Davis to be your lawfully wedded wife. Ned: (slowly but proudly) I do Minister: And do you Alexis Davis take this man Ned Ashton to be your lawfully wedded husband. Alexis: (crying) I do. Minister: By the powers vested in me I know pronounce you Mr. & Mrs Edward Ashton. You may kiss the bride. Ned looks deep in to Alexis eyes and passionately kisses her as everyone around them is either crying or clapping. Scene II A lighted Gazebo on the beach. Jax: (walking up to a newly kissing married couple) hey can I kiss the bride? Ned: No! Alexis: (laughing) Come here. (they kiss) Jax: Congratulations you guys. Everyone else walks over to them and congratulations them. Ned: (walking over to Alexis and holding out his hand) Excuse me Mrs Ashton but may I have this dance. Alexis: (taking his hand) I'd be honored Mr Ashton. Ned: (dancing) Have I told you how lovely you look? Alexis: (thinking) No actually now that you mentioned it........ I don't believe you have. Ned: (sadly) All these times saying it to myself in my head but never once did I speak it out loud, please forgive me. It's just that the sight of you makes my mind lose complete rational thought, (smiling) and all I want to do is...... Alexis:(blushing) I know what you want to do. (they kiss) I promises later will be here before you know it. Ned; I sure as hell hope so because I don't know how much longer I can control myself............(seductively) before I rip that dress right off of you.(his hands resting on her butt) Alexis: Ned......behave yourself. Ned: your no fun! (they laugh)............ Oh by the way you look gorgeous. Alexis: You look mighty fine yourself. (they kiss passionately, neither wanting this night to end but yet can't wait for it to be over) Scene III Everyone grabs a glass of Champaign as Jax begins to make a toast. Ned and Alexis are standing in the middle of the room holding on to one another. Jax: Here's to two of the best friends I've got. They've been through hell and back again and finally ended up here. Even though I constantly tell Alexis that she could do much better then this loser...... Alexis: (laughing) Hey that's my husband your talking about...... Ned: (laughing) Watch it Jax. Jax: Anyway as I was saying........... much better then this loser in my heart I know she's found the perfect man, and he the perfect woman. So lets all raise our glasses to the perfect couple Mr. & Mrs. Edward Lawrence Ashton, may there days be filled with love, hope and everlasting love. To Ned & Alexis! Everyone: To Ned & Alexis. Ned; I love you Mrs Ashton. Alexis: I love you Mr Ashton.(they kiss) V:(walking up to them) Excuse me I hate to interrupt (they're still kissing) but it's time to cut the cake. (still kissing) Jax; (loudly) Hey Ashton are you going to smash cake in your wife's face or not? They finally break the kiss and laugh with their lips still close. Ned: Okay where's the knife? Jax: (handing it to him) Here ya go! They place their hands on the knife and cut the cake. Alexis feeds Ned first. Ned; Be nice Alexis. (she slowly feeds him) Alexis: Now be a good boy and follow the pattern. Ned: (slowly feeding Alexis) How's that. Alexis: That was nice. (as he lends in to kiss her she picks up a piece of cake and rubs it in his face) Ned: (with cake all over his face) Your going to pay for that. (he grabs her and kisses her, covering her face with as much cake as his) Scene IV Ned and Alexis return to the party after changing into something more comfortably. Ned; Well everyone as much as I hate to leave.......... Nikolas: yeah right! Jax; Ashton you can't wait to get out of here. Ned; (laughing & looking into Alexis' eyes) your absolute right. (he kisses her) V: Hey can't you at least wait till you get home? Emily; Where are you guys going on your honeymoon? Ned: That is a surprise. Alexis: So much so that he won't even tell me. (she hits his chest) I want to know where we're going! Ned: All in good time sweetie. (flashing his dimples) Now throw the flowers and let's be off. Alexis throws the boutique which Emily catches. Ned: Don't get any ideas while I'm gone young lady. Emily: Don't worry I won't. Have a good time. Ned: (looking at Alexis seductively) We plan on it! Ned and Alexis say goodnight and head to their yet to be revealed distention. |
