| . Chapter 1 Alexis is at the gatehouse sitting by the fireplace. She's reading over some L&B legal documents while waiting for Ned to come home. The door bell rings and Alexis gets up to answer it "who is it"? Alexis yells but nobody answers. She opens the door as Helena pushes her way in. Helena: If you think I'm going to let you live, your surly mistaken. Alexis: Get out. Ned will be back soon and I don't want him to know you were here! Helena: I'm not leaving until I get what I came for! I want to know what it is you think you know! Alexis: Isn't it bad enough you almost killed my friend......... Helena:(interrupts Alexis) NO! Not by a long shot and if you want to live to see tomorrow you better tell me what you know! Alexis: Go to hell you old bat! I'm not scared of you, and you can't make me do anything for you anymore.(Helena can see the fear in Alexis eyes) Helena:Oh yes you are my dear! Poor little Natasha scared of the black widow spider, and nobody around to protect her. (Alexis starts to get real uncomfortable, and tries hard not let Helena know how scared she really is)Oh don't worry my dear I have no intentions of killing you here. I plan on doing it when you least expect it!Or better yet maybe I'll just torture you and kill off your friends one by one. (Helena laughs her evil laugh) Starting with the very handsome Ned Ashton! Alexis: NO! There's no way I'm going to ever allow you to hurt him. I'll kill you first. Helena laughs as she walks closer to Alexis and backs her into a corner. Alexis tries real hard to catch her breath, but is finding it very difficult. Helena is just about to say something as Ned comes through the door. He's carrying a dozen roses and isn't very happy to see Helena.Helena backs away from Alexis as Ned puts the flowers down on the table. Alexis then closes her eyes and breathes. She is so relieved to see Ned. Ned: What the hell are you doing in my house?I told you to leave Alexis alone. (Ned is getting madder at Helena as he speaks) If you don't leave this instant I'm going to call the police and have you arrested! Helena walks over to Ned and smiles at him. She takes her hand and rubs his face. Ned grabs her hand and gives her an evil look. Helena just laughs at him and begins to leave, she stops at the door and looks at Alexis. Helena: Alexis my darling husbands bastard daughter! If you think for one minute that I'm going to allow your boy toy here to threaten me you're sadly mistaken. You will pay for this! (Helena slams the door behind her, as Alexis runs over to Ned and holds him tight.) Ned:(taking Alexis' face in his hands) Are you alright? She didn't hurt you, did she?(Alexis nods her head no and smiles at him. The tears start running down her face. Ned gently wipes them away) Don't worry Alexis I'm not going to let Helena or anyone else for that matter, to ever hurt you! I love you. (He kisses her on the forehead, Alexis smiles at him and then lies her head on his chest. Ned closes his eyes and hugs her tightly as the scene fades to black) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 2 It's about three in the morning Alexis is standing by the window looking out in a daze, while Ned lies in bed starring at her. He slowly gets out of bed and walks over to her. She doesn't hear him coming, her mind too preoccupied with Helena's recent visit. He starts to put his arms around her and she jumps. Ned: I'm sorry I didn't mean to startle you.(Alexis just looks at him and half smiles. She continues to stare out the window) Why don't you come back to bed? You really do need to get some sleep.You've been starting out that window for hours now. Alexis: Oh Ned I'm so sorry I thought you were asleep. I didn't mean to keep you awake.(She starts to walk towards the door) Listen since I'm the one who can't sleep why don't I just get dressed and go home. At least this way you can get some sleep. Ned: ( grabs her and walks her back over to the bed) You'll do no such thing. You need as much sleep as I do. Besides Jax is at the hospital with Chloe and there is no way I'm going to let you stay in that Penthouse by yourself. Alexis: OMG Chloe I forgot all about her. She's lying in that hospital bed because of me. Ned can you please call the hospital and find out how she's doing. Ned: Find I'll call but you have to stay her in bed.....and don't even think about getting dress. Actually for that matter I think you have to many clothes on. (he starts to undress her) Alexis: Ned (pushing him away) I promises now go make....... (he's kissing her on the neck & it's driving her crazy) that phone call. (He gets up and leaves) Alexis just can't stop thinking about what Helena might try to do to Ned. She gets up and walks back over to the window. A few minutes have passed and Ned returns. Ned: I thought you promised to stay in bed. Alexis: How's Chloe? (walking back over to the bed and standing in front of Ned) Ned: She's doing good, she should be able to come home tomorrow. Tony just wanted her to stay in the hospital tonight mostly as a precautions. Alexis: Well thank god she wasn't hit that hard. I just keeping thinking.........what if Jax hadn't been there....and he wasn't able to push her out of the way that.......(Ned grabs Alexis and kisses her.) Okay I get the hint you want me to shut up. Well you know two can play that game. (she pushes on the bed, he grabs her and she falls on top of him.) What am I going to do with you Ned Ashton? Ned: Well for starts you could always (he grins at her & she laughs at him. He reaches up grabs her and starts kissing her passionately. They make love.) It's morning and Ned is in the kitchen making Alexis breakfast. Alexis comes downstairs dressed for work. Alexis: Um something smells good. Let me guess, it's gotta be French toast. Ned: What else would I make for my favorite lady, but of course her favorite food. Alexis: Actually it's your favorite food, (she gives him a good morning kiss) and sorry but I'm not hungry. I've got alot of work to do today and if I don't get out of here soon, let's just say I'll fall way behind. Ned: Excuses me, but you don't honestly think I'm going to let you leave this house by yourself, do you? (Alexis tries to get a word in) Not after what Helena said last night. Alexis she wants you dead! (Ned starts to raise his voice after Alexis again tries to say something)I'm going to get dressed while you sit and eat.(He pulls out the chair and puts a plate of food down) We'll go to work together. (he kisses her lightly and gives her a strong deep look) No arguments! (Alexis sits down and pushes the plate in front of her away. She rolls her eyes back, shakes her head and then places her face in her hands.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 3 Ned & Alexis walk into L&B studio together; unaware that Emily & Juan are in the back room. Ned:Okay that's it I give up. (Alexis looks at him like he's lost his mind) Don't give me that I don't know what your talking about look, it isn't going to work.(Alexis just turns her back and walks over to the couch and sits down. Ned walks over and stands in front of her) I know your mad at me and the least you could do is tell me why! Alexis: What on earth makes you think I'm mad at you? Ned: oh please where would you like me to start? How about the fact you didn't say a word to me all the way here? Or oh yea how about those dirty looks you were giving me in the car? Alexis: I was not giving you dirty looks! Ned: The hell you weren't and this conversation is pointless. I want to know why you are so mad at me.(Alexis gets up off the couch and tries to walk past Ned) You're not going anywhere until I get an answer. Alexis: Fine I don't like the fact that you are treating me like......... Ned: Like what? Like a man who doesn't want to see the woman he loves get hurt or worse? Alexis: Exactly. Ned, Helena has tried to kill me before and she's threatened me hundreds of times. So why is now any different then any other time? Ned:It's not different. I'm just tried of her and I want you safe. Alexis I love you! (just then Emily & Juan walk in) Emily: Well good morning everyone. Ned: Emily, Juan if you don't mind Alexis & I were in the middle of something. Alexis:No! Ned really that's fine, I have some work to do anyway. (Alexis walking past Ned) I'll be up stairs if anyone needs me. Ned: Alexis this is far from over! Alexis: (as she's walking up the stairs) Somehow I knew that. Ned: So guys what do you say the two of you take a lunch break and come back in an hour or so? Juan: Well actually Mr... Ashton it's only 10am and we just ate breakfast. (Ned gives him a dirty look) Emily: You know what Juan I could go for a bite right about now. Bye. (Emily grabs her coat and pushes Juan outside) Juan: Emily did you hear what Ned said? Do you think his wife Knows? Emily: Knows what? I thought we were going to Kelly's. Are you coming or what? (Emily walks off and Juan has no idea of why she is avoiding what he just said, throws his arms up and follows after her) Meanwhile back inside Alexis is in her office sitting behind her desk thinking about what Helena might do to Ned. Ned is downstairs talking to Jax on the phone when a delivery boy enters carrying a large brown box. Ned: Jax I'll call you later and let you know how I think we should handle things. No I don't think it would be a good idea for you to take it upon yourself. I'll call you later, don't do anything stupid! (Ned hangs up on Jax and walks over to the delivery boy) I guess you need me to sign for that? Delivery boy: Well actually I don't need a signature, but I do need to find a Mrs. Jax. Ned: Well she's busy at the moment. Why don't you just leave it with me and I'll make sure she get's it. Delivery boy: Well see sir my orders were to leave it with nobody but Mrs. Jax. (Ned whose not in a very good mode takes the box from the young man and pushes him out the door) Ned: Trust me I'll take care of it. Bye. (Ned looks at the box and realizes there is no return address. Something just doesn't seem right. Just then Alexis comes down the stairs) Alexis:I need your signature on this contract. (noticing the box in Neds arms) What's that? Let me guess a late Christmas present or an early birthday present? (she grabs the box and starts to open it, before Ned could stop her) Well it really doesn't matter, and I'm still mad at you. (She gets the box open and screams. She jumps back. The box is full of snakes. Ned quickly goes over and closes it, almost getting bite in the process) "Ned careful" she screams. Who would send us a box of snakes? All my life I've been terrified of them. Ned:(walking over to her, he puts his arm around and holds her tight. He tries to calm her down.) I'll give you one guess. Alexis: (looking at Ned and knowing exactly what he's thinking) Helena.......Oh my god Ned this is just the beginning, she's not going to to .......kill me. She's (trying so hard to stay calm) going to mess with my head. (Ned lets go of Alexis, takes the box and places it outside. He then takes Alexis over to the couch and they sit down.) Ned: It's okay Sweetheart, trust me everything is going to be okay. I'll make sure of it, somehow I'll make sure of it.(Ned takes Alexis head and lays it on his lap, he gently rubs her head) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 4 Ned & Alexis are back at the gatehouse. Alexis is sleeping on the couch. Ned comes downstairs with a blanket and covers her. Just then Jax walks in. Jax: Ned what the heck is going on around here?Is everything alright? You didn't sound to good on the phone. Ned: Quite Alexis is sleeping, come let's go outside and we'll talk. (They walk outside and sit down) Alexis received a full box of snakes today, it must be from Helena. Jax: A box of snakes, why would Helena send her something like that? (Just then Alexis screams) Alexis: Ned no please Ned......Don't hurt him, please let him go. (Ned & Jax rush into the house and run over to Alexis. Who is now sitting up in a total panic.) Ned: Alexis sweetheart I'm right here and so is Jax. Everything is alright. (Alexis gets up and grabs Ned and almost goes into complete hysterics) Alexis: Ned oh Ne..Ne......Ned (she can't seem to catch her breath) I...I......I'm soooooo scared I......I Ned: Honey it's okay I'm here you need to calm down. (Ned sits her down on the couch and kneels in front of her. Jax runs into the kitchen to get her a glass of water) It was a nightmare just a bad nightmare. I'm right here and look (he takes both of her hands) I'm fine. (trying to lighten the mood) I'm still a Quatermaine, but hey you never minded before. (Alexis is too upset to even crack a smile. Jax comes back into the room and hands her a glass of water) Jax: Here you go wifey, drink this and it will make you feel a little better.(She takes a small sip and hands it back to Jax) Alexis: Ned it was so awful. Helena was holding you and she had a knife (crying and still trying to catch her breath) and she was going......... Ned: Alexis don't do this to yourself it was only a nightmare. Helena isn't going to kill me I promise.(Ned gets up and sits next to her, he picks up her head and stares into her eyes. Alexis is still crying hard.) Nobody do you hear me nobody, is ever going to take me away from you, especially not Helena. Just then the door bell rings and Jax goes over to answer it. Jax:Chloe hello (she looks upset) is something wrong? Chloe: I don't know, I went over to the penthouse to get my sketch pad and something just didn't seem right. Jax I think someone was there. I wasn't about to stick around and find out so I grabbed my pad and quickly left. Jax: So you didn't actually see anyone or hear anything..... Chloe: Well no but I still... (Ned cuts her off) Ned:It was probably one of Helena's men. (Chloe notices Alexis is upset and goes over and sits by her) Jax: But why? I mean why would Helena send someone over to the penthouse?What could she be possibly be looking for? Alexis: Proof, she thinks I know something and most likely she believes what I have on her might be at the house. But she couldn't have found anything, I don't have anything on her. Oh no (looking at Ned) if she doesn't find anything she'll send her men over to the studio to search my office. Ned: Right now that is the least of our problems. Our biggest problem is keeping you safe. Chloe: Oh no I almost forgot while I was leaving the hotel a man stopped me and asked me if I was Chloe Ashton. I said yes and then he handed me this (she reaches in her pocket and pulls out an envelope. Jax takes it from her) Ned:What does it say? Jax:Nothing it's just a picture. (Ned grabs the picture from him and shakes his head) Alexis: A picture of what? Chloe:of a doll with no head. Alexis: (grabbing Chloes hand and looking at Ned) What nothing, that is what Helena plans on doing to Chloe. (you can see the panic start to resurface) Cutting her head off. Jax: That will never happen! (Jax holds Chloe in her arms. Alexis lets go of her hand) This woman must be stopped now. The four of them just stand there and look at each other. They are trying to figure out what Helena will do next and how they are going to be able to stop her before she really hurts someone. Alexis lets go of Ned and walks over to the fire place, stops and turns. Alexis: The only way to stop Helena is to ...........kill her! (she turns back and stares into the fire. |
