Emily�s apartament.

�Zander can you bring me the knife so that we can cut the cake?� Emily called in to her kitchen to her boyfriend Zander Smith. They were having an anniversary party dinner for two of their friends, Lucky and Liz Spencer.

�Actually, Em could you come in here for a minute?� Zander called.

Emily walked in.

�Hi.� she said kissing him quickly on the lips.

�Hi.� he said returning the kiss.

�Emily, I wanted to wait until after dinner to ask you this but I can�t wait any longer.� he said.

�Here, sit.� he said pointing to the small kitchen table. They both sat down.

�Emily, I have known you for a short time, but I know I love you and you love me and I can�t image my life without you and Well...� Zander pulled out a black velvet box and poped it open to reveal a medium sized diamond ring.

�Would you marry me?� he asked.

From in the dinning room Gia, Liz, Lucky and Nik heard Emily scream. They all got up in a hurry to see what was wrong and burst into the kitchen.

�Em, what�s wrong?� Liz asked.

Emily responded by showing her the engagement ring Zander had placed on her hand only moments ago.

�Oh, Em that�s wonderful.� Liz said hugging her.

Gia gave Emily a kiss on each cheek because she was holding Rose she couldn�t hug her.

�I�m really happy for you Em.� Gia told her.

�So Simon are you going to teach your child to cheat at cards?� Ned said sarcastically.

Before Simon can answer, there is a knock at the door.

Ned goes to answer the door. It�s Zander and Emily

�Hi Ned!� Emily said excitedly.

�Hi Em.� Ned said.

�Hi. Is Alexis here?� she said.

�Yeah. Someone else is here too.� Ned said smiling.

�Hey girls.� Ned yelled into the kitchen, where V and Alexis had been comparing notes.

V and Alexis enter the living room.

�V!� Emily exclaimed

�Hey, Em.� she said going over to hug her.

�Whoa. Alexis, I think I�m experiences those symptoms.� V said laughing.

�V is pregnant too.� she said to Emily explaining.

�Oh wow. Congrats. � she said hugging V.

�I-We have great news.� Emily said smiling at Zander.

Emily held out her hand with the ring on it.

�We�re getting married.� she said happily.

�Oh!� Alexis said excitly going over to them, she gave zander a quick hug, knowing he wasn�t too sentimental and then hugged Emily a little longer.

�That�s great Em. � V said from her seat on the couch.

Ned looked a little less than pleased but he gave Emily a hug and congratulated them both.

�Well, we have to go tell Grandfather.� Emily said in a dreadful voice.

�Come on, the sooner we go, the sooner it�s over.� Zander told her.

�He�s right.� Ned agreed.

Zander and Emily leave.

Zander and Emily bump into Jax and Brenda on the way there

Jax enters and looks up to see V.
�V!� he says. �What are you doing here?!�

�V and Simon are back from their boating experience. She and Simon got hitched on the ship and they are expecting a baby.� Ned recapped for Jax and Brenda.

�Well congratalations V!� Jax said giving her a small hug.

The telephone rang then. Ned went over to answer it.

�Lois, hi!� Ned said. V looked over at Alexis and saw that the color had drained from her face at the mention of Ned�s ex-wife.

�Alexis, it�s okay.� V said going over to her friend.

Ned chatted to Lois for a few minutes and then hung up the phone.

�Honey, honey, it�s okay.� Ned said to Alexis going over to comfort her.

Alexis looked at him warily.

�She called to tell me that she is going on a buisness trip for a month and she wanted Brooke Lynn to stay with me. With us.� he added seeing the look on her face.

Alexis fidgeted for a minute and then broke into a smile.

�Honey, that�s great. I would love to see her again. When are you going to pick her up?� she said getting up to hug Ned.

Ned was taken aback by her sudden attitude change but he shrugged it off.

�I have to take the jet now to Brooklynn� Ned said. �You want to come?� he asked?

�No, we�re having a girls night out.� Alexis said and she, V and Brenda smiled.

�Okay....� Ned said a quaver in his voice.

�Don�t worry. We won�t do anything illegal.� she teased.

�We�ll take good care of her. � V added.

Ned put his jacket on and walked out the door to catch a plane to pick Brooke Lynn up.

�Hey, let�s invite Emily and Gia too.� Brenda suggested.

�What about Liz?� V asked.

�She can come too. And Brooke.� Alexis told them.

�Come on Simon, I think we better gather up all the guys and have a guys night out. I don�t want to be hanging around here with all that gigling and whatever else the girls do.� he said and they both took off.

V, Brenda and Alexis started getting things ready for that night.
