7 o�clock. The church. Nik and Gia are waiting for everyone else when they enter. �Hi Nik and Gia.� Alexis greeted them. �Is the Justus of the Peace here yet?� she asked them. �Yeah he�s waiting up front.� Nik said glaring at his uncle. �Let�s get this show started.� Alexis said and they all went into the church. Alexis and Ned stood at the front with everyone else seated behind them. An hour later they all emerged from the church. �I suggest a party to celebrate.� Alexis said smiling the wind in her hair. �Everyone back at the Gatehouse.� Ned said. �Ned, sweetheart, I don�t have any clothes to change into there.� Alexis whispered in his ear. �Well then I guess you�ll just have to wear my clothes then.� he suggested. Alexis thought about this for a while. �Okay.� she said smiling and kissing him on the lips. ~*~ Everyone is at the Gatehouse talking. Alexis has changed out of the dress and is dressed in a pair of Ned�s jeans and one of his white dress shirts. Her hair is still piled on top of her head. She is still wearing her wedding tira on top of her head. �Stephan, Could I talk to you?� Alexis asked her brother and led him over to a corner. He brother had been in her opinion standing like a statue the entire party. �I need to tell you something.� she said. �Well, whatever it is, you can tell me.� Stephan said gently. �I�m pregnant.� Alexis said closing her eyes to wait for the yelling to begin. �Alexis, that�s wonderful.� Stephan said giving her a short hug and a kiss on the cheek. Alexis was quite suprised by his reaction but didn�t show her reaction. �Thank you Stephan. I�m very happy.� Alexis said walking away to join the party. ~*~ The next day. Alexis and Ned spent their wedding night at the Gatehouse. They are getting ready to go tell the Quartermaine family of their wedding and engagement. �Ned, do we really need to do this?� Alexis complained. �Yes, sweetheart we do. It wouldn�t be as bad if Skye weren�t there. Oh well.� he sighed. �Who? Oh wait I think you told me about her. Alan�s daughter or something.� she said waving her hand in the air. �Yeah.� he said. �Well here goes nothing.� he said and grabbed her hand and as they walked up to the main house. ~*~ Quartermaine Mansion. Ned and Alexis walke into the living room. Lila , Emily, Monica, Alan, Rae, Skye, Edward and AJ are all arguing except for Lila and Emily who are having a quiet a conversation of their own. Lila and Emily look at Ned and Alexis knowingly as they enter. �Everybody , Alexis and I have an annocement to make.� Ned said but no one made knowledge of his presence. Ned looked at Lila and Emily and nodded in approval. �Hey Everyone, quiet down!� Emily yelled trying to make herself heard but even Emily wasn�t noticed over all the racket going on. �Everybody, please listen up Ned and Alexis have something to tell us.� Lila said in a soothing voice. Everyone was instantly quiet at the sound of her voice. �Thank you Grandmother.� Ned said smiling at her. �Hey. What the hell are you doing with that Cassadine?� Edward yelled. �Hey, watch it. Don�t take that tone with my wife.� Ned said putting a proective hand between Alexis and his Grandfather. �WIFE?� Edward yelled. �You mean your suppost to be wife that left you at the alter and flaged down a semi-truck.� Alexis looked down at her hands and started to fidget. Ned put a supportive arm around her shoulders and spoke to Edward in an angry tone. �Grandfather, Don�t upset my wife.� he told the old man. All the other Quartermaines looked on in shock except for Skye and Rae who looked on in cofussion. �Alexis, Good Luck.� AJ said taking one last drink from his vodka glass before walking out of the living room to meet with Scotty, his attorney. �Well, congrats.� Monica said. � I knew you two would eventually find your way back to each other.� She smiled fondly at them. �I agree.� Alan said also smiling. �Lila, did can you believe this?!� Edward asked his wife angrily. �I was at the wedding, Edward.� Lila said simply. �So was I.� Emily piped up. �WHAT?!� Edward yelled. � And you didn�t tell me?!� Edward said shocked. �We asked them not to.� Alexis spoke up tears in her eyes from the memory Edward has brought up previously. �Ned, dear, tell the others the other happy news.� Lila suggested to her grandson. �Yeah!� Emily agreed. Ned looked like he wanted to die right on the spot, but he could never refuse his Grandmother or his favorite cousin so he gave in. Looking at Alexis, he bravely said, �Alexis and I are going to have a baby.� he said smiling from ear to ear, as was Alexis through her tears. �You�re WHAT?!� Edward bellowed. �This is a disaster. A Cassadine-Quartermaine baby is a disaster.� Edward said angrily. � I think the linkage will make it stronger.� Lila said smiling. �We do too, Grandmother.� Ned said to his Grandmother. �We�ll be going now.� Alexis said before kissing Lila and Emily on the cheek , as did Ned. �So we are related now?� Skye asked Alexis letting her presence be known. Alexis gave her a confused look and as she and Ned walked out of the Mansion she inquired about Skye. �Honey who is that?� �Alan�s daughter.� Ned said rolling his eyes hatefully. �Never mind.� he said seeing the look on her face. |
