�Hi.� Carly says.

�Hi. What are YOU doing here?!� She asks pointedly at Sonny after greeting Carly.

�Alexis, wait.� Carly says. �I brought him here to see if you two could work something out.� She says sincerely.

�Whoa�wait a minute�you forgave her?!� she asked amazed.

�What can I say? I love her. She�s my wife.� Sonny says shrugging.

�Ditto.� Ned says from behind Alexis. �Why don�t you two come in?� Ned invites them.

After Sonny and Carly walk through, with their back turns to Ned and Alexis, Alexis mouths What the Hell are you doing? To Ned who makes no reacation.

�Come on Alexis, I know you two are friends.� Carly says to Alexis.

�Even If I were to become his friend again-I would NOT be his attorney nor would we have any mention, conversation or talk of any kind of any of his legal matters.� Alexis says a smile slowly creeping up on her face.

�Okay then?� Sonny asks extending his hand.

�Okay.� Alexis says shaking his hand.

Ned and Carly smile. Ned was surprised at himself that he was glad that Sonny and Alexis were friends but as long as she wasn�t in danger anymore---which was only when dealing with him as a client---he would humor her.

�I hear you two got hitched.� Carly said Alexis giving her a hug.

Alexis gratefully accepted it.

�Thanks Carly. For everything.� She said as she and Carly exchanged a secret smile.

�And I see you expecting.� Sonny says interupting.

�Oh yeah�.have you gone baby shopping yet?� Carly asks.

�Well, kind of�.but there was an accident�.with V.� Alexis said.

�Yeah�I was sorry to hear about that�.listen, how about we go shopping�.just the two of us?� Carly asks.

�Well�.okay.� Alexis agrees.

�Have you decided a name yet?� Carly asked Alexis.

�Kristen Lila Ashton.� Alexis said smiling.

�Lila�.where did Kristen come from?� Carly asked.

�My mother.� Alexis says.

Carly nods, knowing the feeling.

While Alexis and Carly talk, Ned and Sonny go to the kitchen.

�Carly, did you hear about Emily?� Alexis asks her.

�No�what?�.I mean, I heard she and Zander got married�� Carly trailed off.

�She was in a train accident�.on the way to see me actually�.she�s paralayzed temperalilly though.� Alexis says.

�Oh God�.I�ll have to go see her. She�ll be alright? � Carly asked.

�Yeah.� Alexis said.

�Alexis�.it�s not your fault.� She says.

�I know�..here, have a doughnut.� She offers her new friend.

�Thanks. We gotta go. Bye.� She kisses her on the cheek.

�SONNY!!!� Carly yells.

Sonny comes through the kitchen door eating a choclate Eclaire.

�Alexis, this is terrible!� Sonny says making a sour face.

�Well, mine Is great!� Carly exclaimed.

�Ned made those.� Alexis says shepishly.

�We are having our first cooking lessons.� Ned explained.

Sonny and Carly laughed and they all exchanged goodbyes, even Carly and Ned seemed to be on good terms.

�Well, I didn�t know the tablespoons were the BIGGER ones.� Alexis said defensivly once Sonny and Carly left, remebering her salt crisis.

Carly and Alexis are shopping for baby stuff.

�How about this?� Carly asked holding up a frilly pink dress.

�Uh�..I don�t think so.� Alexis said eyeing the pink dress suspisiously.

Carly laughed.

�Okay, well what kind of theme do you want for the nursery?� Carly asked.

�Well when I was out shopping with V and your mom before, I decieded on Cinderella.� Alexis said smiling.

�Oh�.that will be adorable!� Carly cried.

Carly and Alexis went about the store picking out Cinderella pictures, cribes, clothes and other baby things.

Later, the same day. Ned and Alexis� house. Alexis comes rushing in with many shopping bags and boxes. Emily has complely recovered and is living in her apt. with Zander again.

�Hi Honey!� Alexis said breathless piling shopping bags on the couch and bringing more and more in each times.

�Alexis how much more is there?!� Ned asked.

�Oh just the crib. It�s in a box. Can you get it?� she asked Ned.

Ned went out to the car and brings the crib in and they both look at all the baby stuff.

�Come on sweetie, you should rest. You�ve had a long day.

�No-realy I�m fine. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. Any news on Emily? Or my mother?� she said quietly.

�Emily got released today. She�s back home. You really do need to go tell her.� Ned told her.

�Yes, I know. And I will. Soon. I promise.� Alexis said avoiding his eyes.

�Alexis look at me. � Ned grabbed on to her shoulders. �You need to tell Emily that you are her mother---today Alexis. Before you decide not to do it. I�ll go with you if you want.� He offered.

�Okay. Today. Then let�s go before I chicken out again.� She said smiling.

Ned grabbed her purse off the table and they got in the car to drive to the Port Charles Hotel.

Knock! Knock!

Ned and Alexis knocked on Emily�s door. Zander opened the door wide.

�Hey guys, come on in. � Zander said. He was wearing what looked like an apron. And not a chef�s apron. A frilly white one that tied around your waist.

Alexis had to stiffle a giggle. Ned looked amused himself.

�Hi Zander. Is Emily home?� Alexis asked before turning her head and she and Ned bursted out laughing.

�Zander what�s with the apron?� Ned asked.

�What?-oh. Emily can�t cook. Not unlike someone else I know.� He said eyeing Alexis. Ned had to laugh at that.

�Stop it.� Alexis said nuddging him.

�Come on in guys!� they heard Emily call. Alexis could see her lying on the couch, spralled out, a tv romote in her hand. Zander moved aside and they walked in.

Alexis stood there for a moment just looking at Emily not knowing how she couldn�t have realized that Emily was her daughter. Ned had to nudge her to push her from her gaze.

�Emily, I need to talk to you about something important.� Alexis said sitting on the end of the couch.

�Sure, Alexis. No problem.� Emily said sitting up and clicking the tv off. She smiled at Alexis.

�uh, come on Zander let�s go uh-� Ned stammered

�Pretend like we have something better to do?� Zander supplied.

�yeah.� Ned agreed and they both headed into the back of Em�s apartment to watch a football game that was on.

�Emily.� Alexis said after the boys were out of earshot. �It�s about Paige.� Alexis said kindly, getting more nervous by the second.

�My mom?� emily asked curious.

�No, Paige.� Alexis repeated.

�yes, and Paige is my biological mom.� Emily said almost laughing.

�No, Em, Paige was an adoptive mom and more like a keeper for you.� Alexis said trying to break it to her gently.

�What? I don�t understand. If Paige isn�t my real mom, then who is?� she asked confused.

�I am.� Alexis said barely audiable.

Emily gasped tears starting to fall down her cheek. �oh, Alexis. I always felt like you were my mom and now you really are. But how?� emily asked happy through her tears. She leaned over and they hugged.

Alexis has just finnished telling Emily the entire story about Paige and Ned and Zander come back into the room.

�Look Zander, I don�t care what you say, New York always beets Flordia. They aren�t going to win.�

�No way ned. Flordia rules. They are going to cream new York. � Zander retorted. (forgive me guys, I�m not a football expert)

They both stopped short when they saw emily and Alexis hugging and crying.

�Oh, Zander. Ned.� Emily said letting go of Alexis. �This is my-�

�your mother.� Zander finished for her. �ned told me all about it.� Zander explained.

Emily nodded, not able to say anything.

�So Alexis, that means that Zander is your son-in-law.� Emily said laughing as they both wipped their tears away.

�Yes, and it means that you will have a little sister.� She said smiling.

�And it means that Brooke is your step-sister. � ned put in.

Suddenly her face fell.

�What is it honey?� Alexis asked concerned.

�Well it also means that my grandparents would be dead. At least yours. I don�t know about my fathers.� She said sadely.

�Well, maybe not. � Alexis said.

Emily�s ears pearked up and Zander and Ned sat down on the couch opposite Alexis and Emily.

�What do you mean?� Emily asked.

�Stefan-your uncle-found a document stating that Kristen had a sister-twin sister named Crystal and that�s who Helena murdered.so your grandmother might still be alive. � she said seriously.

�Oh. Oh my god!� she sudently exclaimed.

�What? � Ned asked.

�I just realized something. I had a crush on my cousin!!!� she said making a face.

�You mean Nikolas? � Alexis said laughing.

Zander glared at them for a minute but then regained himself.

�Alexis, what was my father like?� Emily asked softly.

�He was a handyman. And a great one at that. He was forced by Helena to work for her when she discovered him sneaking on the island to see me. But he was sweet and gentle and I�m sure he would have loved you very much, if he had known.� Alexis said smiling foundly at the memories.

�One more thing.� Emily said.

�Anything.� Alexis said.

�Let me help you find Kristen.� Emily said seriously.

�We�ll all help.� Ned said and Zander nodded in agreement.

�Hey, Lucky�s good with computers. Maybe he can help.� Emily suggested, trying to get used to the fact that she was a Cassadine.

�Sure.� Alexis said smiling.

�Does Nikolas know?� Emily asked.

�Alexis nodded. Nikolas and Stefan know. And Luke and Laura No one else though that I know of. Helena thinks your dead.� She said quietly. Emily began to realize how much danger she was in. Not because of Sorel-he was dead now. But simply because of the fact that she, Emily Danielle was a Cassadine, plain and simple.
