Note: image that Ned and Alexis had a one night stand as they did previously in 1-900-Nexis. Ned and Zander are Civil to each other, Gia, Liz and Emily are friends, as are Lucky, Zander and Nik. Liz and Lucky have been married three years, no children. Nik and Gia have been married for two years with one daughter, Rose Marie Cassadine. I have aged Emily to be 22 years old. Zander is 24. Emily has just graduated from College. She has a penthouse at the Port Charles Hotel. And AJ never bought Jax�s penthouse. And none of the Helen brainwashing Lucky, Starvros coming back from the dead and the Spencer/Cassadine war, round two happned.

Alexis Davis walked through the park, the summer wind blowing warmly through her hair. She was wearing a light blue sleavless sundress that cut off at her knees with a matching blue blazer. As much as Alexis hated to admit it, she missed her ex-fianc�, Ned. Why oh why had she run out? She thought to herself. She had been trying to answer that same question for months. And it didn�t help that she and Ned would be linked to each other forever. Not that Ned knew that....yet. She had picked up the phone a dozen times to dial his number but every time she mustered the courage to do so, she hung it up as soon as he picked up the phone. Alexis looked down at the ground letting her tears fall when she bumped into a man. Alexis looked up to see who it was and she gasped at the sight that stood before her.

�Jax.� Alexis said quietly.

�Hey It�s my favorite ex-wife. Now why don�t you tell me why you�re in the park-wait, what�s wrong?� Jax asked alarmed when he saw Alexis� tear-stained face. She had obviously been crying about something. He wasn�t married to Alexis for eight months without learning a thing or two about her and one thing he learned was that Alexis didn�t cry for nothing. She had to have a reason. And judgeing by the look on her face, it had something to do with Ned.

�What? Oh, it�s nothing.� Alexis said trying to make exuses for why she had been crying alone in the park.

�Alexis tell me what�s wrong.� Jax demanded starring her straight in the eyes.

�Never mind me.� Alexis said wiping her tears away. � Why are you here?� she questioned him.

�I came back. To stay.� Jax said smiling to himself.

�Well that�s great.� Alexis said glad that her best friend was back.

�Jax! Jax are you here?� Alexis heard a woman�s voice call out.

�Over here!� Jax called to the young woman.
�Hi.� she said coming over and hugging him while Alexis looked on in shock.

�Br-Brenda?!� Alexis said stammering.

�Hi Alexis!� Brenda said greeting her.

�Brenda, correct me if I�m wrong but wasn�t that you that died in a car crash about three years ago?� Alexis asked trying to be sensiable.

�Actually, No.� She said timidly. �My death was staged.�

�And I�ll give you one guess to who did it.� Jax said looking at Alexis knowingly.

�Helena.� Alexis replied.

�Yup.� Brenda said. �She took me the island to stay and somehow I had a memory lapse for three years until the machine that she used crashed. Then I stowed away on an airplane to Paris and I met up with Jax.� she said smiling up at him.

�So you really were kidnapped on an island.� Alexis said to them.

�What do you mean? Was someone else kidnapped by Helena?� Jax asked worried.

�Well, kind of. First of all you should know. Stefan isn�t dead. He faked his own death and hid out on an island.� She said seriously

�WHAT?!� Jax said, hardly believing what she said.

�Yeah. And then he kidnapped Chloe but made her believe that Helena had set them up because of her dreams.� Alexis said explaining to them the situation.

Jax and Brenda looked at each other amazed.

Jax looked down at the ground shuffling his shoe in the dirt.

�How is Chloe?� he asked softly. Brenda but her hand on his arm understanding his situation.

�She completly recovered and after she and Stefan were back in civilazion for a while she discovered the truth. � She said speaking truthfully.

�That�s great. I�m glad she�s better.� Jax said. �When did it happen?�

�Well, let�s see it was after the shooting and the wedding, so-January.� Alexis said.

�Whoa! Who got married?� Brenda asked excitly.
�Who got shot at?� Jax asked worried.

�You have got a lot to catch up on Jax. A lot happens in a year.� she said pointing a finger at them.

�I was suppost to get married.� Alexis said quietly looking down.

�That�s great! You and Ashton?� Jax asked smiling. Brenda too was smiling but noticed Alexis wasn�t.

She reached out and putting a hand on her she asked,
�Alexis, what do you mean you were suppost to get married?� she asked

� I ran out and flagged down a semi-truck.� Alexis said embarassed.

�Oh honey.� Brenda said sympathetically letting go of Jax and hugging Alexis. Alexis hugged her back letting her tears flow.

�I love him so much you know. And now he�s never going to give me another thought.� she said through her tears.

�You two will find your way back to each other.� Brenda said breaking the hug.

�Well we did for a while. After the shoot out we were together for a while before he-� Alexis started to explain but was cut off by Jax.

�What shoot out Alexis?� Jax asked her sternly.

�Well, okay before I tell you that you should know about Emily.� Alexis said.

�What about Em?� Brenda asked kindly.

�Emily was grabbed at gunpoint at a rave this past summer. Aparently earlier she had gone to another rave with Juan and they got in a fight. She was drugged and she left with this undercover cop named Ted Wilson only she didn�t know he was an undercover cop. He took her to a motel to sleep it off only Sorel killed him . Emily woke up naked next to Ted who was dead and naked. Zander, her kidnapper used to sell drugs for Sorel. However, when Sorel said he wanted to kill Emily too Zander convinced him to just make Emily look like a participant. Emily was grabbed by Zander and when he finally let her go he came back to Port Charles and then he was caught by the cops and Em and Zander ended up falling in love with each other but I ended up representing Zander .� Alexis said explaining the chilling tale.

Brenda and Jax looked at her shocked by the story she had just told them.

�Wow.� Brenda and Jax said together.

�So what about the shoot out?� Jax asked.

�Right. Well, Zander, me, Emily and Sonny who had posted Zander�s bail were coming out of the PCPD and were shot at by two of Sorel�s men who were dressed in police uniforms. The targets were Sonny and Zander and Em and I didn�t get hit but Sonny pushed me out of the way. I would have had the multiple gun shot wounds if Sonny hadn�t pushed me out of the way.� Alexis said tears in her eyes.

�Typical Sonny.� Brenda said remebering her frighting memories of the times she was with Sonny, though she couldn�t help but smile a bit. She quickly stopped though when Jax noticed out of the corned or his eye.

�Yeah.� scuffed Jax.

�Don�t start Jax.� Brenda and Alexis said in uniason.

�Okay, okay.� he said surrenering.

�Anyways, you don�t have to worry because I�m not his attorny anymore. He lied to me.� Alexis said casually.

�Oh.� Jax said knowing that he shouldn�t pursue that issue.

�Although that�s nothing compared with what happened with Sonny and Carly.� Alexis said rolling her eyes.

�What happened?� Jax asked curious

�Well, they got married in October to keep Sonny out of jail but they did end up falling in love. However, Carly wanted to have a safe life without any bombs or explosions and such so she asked him to go into the Witness Protection Program. He refused so she had Roy help her turn him in. He found out it was her and he kicked her out.� She said reliving the memories in her head.

�Sounds like you�ve missed a lot Jax.� Brenda said. �Anything your leaving out Alexis?� she asked.

�Actually, you will be intrested in this Brenda. Carly and Laura bought Deception and they have a new Face.� Alexis told her still trying to blink back her tears.

�Really? Who?� She asked curious

�Gia Campbell. She�s Nikolus�s girlfriend. � She said.

�Well, I�ll have to go by the office and find out more.� Brenda said smiling.

�Yeah.� Alexis said trying hard not to cry.

�Alexis, come here.� Brenda said grabbing her hand and linking her other arm through Jax�s.

�Brenda, where are we going?� she asked suspicously.

�You�ll see.� she said smiling.

�Brenda..� Alexis said in a warning tone.

Jax, Alexis and Brenda arrived outside the Gatehouse.

�Brenda, No.� Alexis said pleading with her.

�Ned does still live here right?� Brenda asked her innocently.

�Yes, but-� Alexis said still trying to plead with her.

�No buts. You two love each other. You belong together. � Brenda said.

She reached up and knocked on the door.

�Ned, open up. Now!� Brenda called from outside.

Inside the Gatehouse Ned Ashton was misrably drinking a glass of wine when he heard his name called. It couldn�t be. He thought. He could have swore who he heard but he couldn�t believe it. She died three years ago. He kept saying over and over as he got up from the leather couch and walked over to answer the door. He opened the door and revealed Brenda, his best friend who he thought had died three years ago, his ex-fianc�, Alexis and his, well he didn�t really know what Jax was to him.

�Brenda?� Ned asked amazed.

�Yeah, yeah,yeah. I�m a ghost. Real spooky. Helena knocked my memory out for a few years okay? Now let�s get to the chase.� she said, a tad annoyed at her friend.

�And what is that Brenda?� Ned asked glaring at Alexis out of the corner of his eye.

�And why are you here?� Ned asked Jax.

�Who the hell do you think found her?� Jax shot back.

�Cut it out you two. We need to get to the point of this little get together. Ned and Alexis.� Brenda stated.

�Brenda-� Ned started to say.

�Don�t Brenda me Ned. You love her. I know you do.� she said her voice raising.

�I loved Lois too.� He replied.

�Lois loved Eddie Maine. � She said simply. �Alexis loved Ned Ashton.� she said.

�Loves. Present tense.� Alexis spoke up. �Not that it matters anymore since he doesn�t love me anymore.� She said sadely trying to hold back her tears.

�I still love you. I Never stopped. I just don�t know if it�s enough.�

�Who ever really knows?� Alexis says walking a little bit closer to Ned and sitting down next to him on the leather couch.

�I would like for love to be enough.� Ned said quietly laying his hand on her leg, tears forming in his own eyes.

�Ned, I don�t know why I couldn�t marry. The people or the asile or what. I mean I know I have issues. Because it�s never been you-it�s always been me. And I am so so sorry that I ran out-I don�t know what made me do-I mean I know what provoked me at that moment but I don�t why I couldn�t do it and I-I-�

�What do you mean you know what provoked you?� Ned interupted her.

�Oh-that-. Well, I uh-I mean that is I-�

�Alexis just tell me is wrong.� Ned said looking deeply into her eyes, with concern in his.

�Ned when I was standing there in the church-I wasn�t nervous. I was calm for the first time since we had gotten engaged and as I walked down the asile, it was like I was seeing our future and I just didn�t like it.� She said closing her eyes.

�Oh sweetheart. Our future is what we make of it. We don�t have to do anything you don�t want to do. � He said concerned.

�you say that like we still have a chance.� Alexis said looking at him tearfully.

�I�d like to think we still do.�

Alexis didn�t say anything but a gasp escaped her and she layed her head on Ned�s shoulder, crying, but this time she was more happy than sad.

After a few minutes, Alexis lifter her head up and looking into Ned�s eyes she spoke something that he never thought he would ever hear her say.

�I want to marry you.� Alexis said softly.

�Oh God, I never thought I�d hear those words. I just wish you had told me how scared you before. �

�I was afraid that if I did you wouldn�t want to be with me anymore.� She said sadly.

�Oh never sweetheart.�

�But I do want to marry you Ned.� She said wiping her eyes with a tissue.

� Well you know what they say, third times� the charm.� He said smiling at her.

Alexis laughed through her tears and they both jumped when they heard Brenda and Jax clapping behind them.

�Oh god, I forgot you guys were there.� Alexis said startled.

�me too.� Ned added,

Alexis and Ned had their arms around each other�s waist, not wanting to ever let go again.

�Oh um Ned?� Alexis asked timidley

�Yes, my love?�

�Could we have a SMALLER wedding this time? Just us and the witnesses?� She pleaded.

�Of course. I was going to ask you the same thing.� He said smiling.

�Oh, this is so exciting.� Brenda said letting her presence be known again.

Ned , Alexis and Jax laughed.

�Brenda, would you be my Maid of Honor?� Alexis asked.

�Oh, I would Love to do that!� Brenda said hugging Alexis.

�And Jax, I suppose it wouldn�t kill me if you would be my best man.� Ned said gritting his teeth.

�Oh, I suppose I can squeeze you in with my busy scheduel.� Jax said sarcastically.

�I do have something for you. Or rather something to tell you � Alexis said turning to Ned again.

�Really? What?� he asked anxiously.

�It�s at my apartament. Come on.� She said grabbing his hand. �You guys too. I want you to be there when I show him this.� She said smiling through her tears.

�Okay.� Jax and Brenda both said.

The four of them headed out of the door of the Gatehouse to go to Alexis�s penhouse.
