Chapter 7 Ned & Alexis return to the party, just in time to hear Edward yelling at Emily. Edward: There is no way young lady that I'm going to allow Ned.......let alone you..... marry a Cassidine. Ned: Well good thing nobody asked you. Jax: So have you set a date yet? Edward: They don't need to set a date they are not getting married. Ned: (ignoring Edward) No we haven't ............but the sooner the better. Alexis: Darling I was kinda hoping we could stay engaged for..............Oh I don't know a year.....or two. Ned: and here I thought you wanted to get married before the baby was born. Edward: SHE"S pregnant? Jax: Why congratulations! Nik: So when's the baby due? Emily: Do you want a boy or a girl? Monica: When were you planning on telling us? Alexis: (who by now just wants to go running out the door, just yells) I'm not pregnant! We are not having a baby. (looking at Ned) unless of course your pregnant. Ned: All I meant was I want us to have child and I think we should be married first. Edward:(Stefan walks in)Thank god! A Quatermaine getting a Cassidine pregnant that's all this family needs. Stefan: Pregnant who the hell is pregnant. (looking at Nik) Nik: Well don't look at me. Alexis:(yelling) Nobody is pregnant. Jax: Here I though Carly was pregnant? Chloe: Jax! AJ: (slugging down another drink) Yes the town slut gets pregnant by the town mobster..........While the town's baby stealing lawyer gets pregnant by the towns ex corrupt CEO singer. News at eleven! Ned: Have another drink Junior. I don't think the alcohol has given you enough criticism yet. Stefan: (walking over to Alexis) Tell me right now you are not pregnant with Ashton' baby! (Alexis looks like she's going to be sick) Ned: (yelling) Don't you dare talk to her like that! If Alexis and I are having a baby it's nobodies business but our own. Alexis: I'm not pregnant! Why does everyone keep saying I am? (with that Alexis runs out the door) Ned: Now see what you've done. Stefan:(very calm) Yes. I've made it perfectly clear to her that no matter what she will not dare have your child. Ned punches Stefan square in the face and runs after Alexis. Scene II Chloe & Jax are cleaning up after saying goodnight to their guest. Chloe: Well I'd have to say it's been an interesting night. Jax: Personally I think everything went better then planned. Chloe: Jax! Jax: Chloe we knew that Edward let alone Stefan wasn't going to be happy with the fact that Ned & Alexis are getting married. Chloe: I wasn't aware you invited Stefan. Jax: I didn't. Chloe: Well then why did he show up? Jax: Good question. Meanwhile back at the Gatehouse. Alexis is sitting on the couch holding Ned's engagement ring in her hands, when the door bell rings. She gets up to answer it. Alexis: Stefan what do you want? Stefan : (walking past her) We need to talk about this affair you are having with Ashton. Alexis: (closing the door) I'm not going to talk about him with you........... What makes you think we are having an affair? Stefan: Don't be coy with me Alexis. Alexis: Stefan why all of a sudden are you so concerned with my relationship with Ned? Stefan : Because until now you (taking the ring out of her hand) never considered marrying him. Alexis:( grabbing the ring back) I've never done anything but make my feelings for him clear. Stefan: (Ned walks in) you can not marry him. Ned: I don't recall anyone asking for your permission. Stefan: If you don't mind this is a private conversation! Ned: (walking over to Alexis and placing his arms around her) Yes I do mind this is my house and your not welcome here. Alexis:(quietly) Ned please.... Ned: You can go now. Stefan:Are you dismissing me? Ned: Yes. (walking over and opening the door) Get out...........NOW! Stefan: (looking at Alexis) Will talk about this later. Alexis: There isn't anything to talk about. Ned and I are getting married. Stefan: Will see. (with that he leaves) Ned: Are you ok? Alexis: I'm fine. Ned: He didn't threaten you, are hurt you, did he? Alexis: (pushing Ned down on the couch and sitting on his lap) No. Ned: (looking into her eyes) What's the matter? Alexis: (quietly) Ned Ashton I love you with all my heart. Ned: and I love you. Alexis: I know you do............. I also know there isn't anything you wouldn't do for me. Ned: (hugging her tight) You got that right. Alexis: Ned you aren't making this easy. Ned: (noticing the over growing sadness in her eyes) Making what easy? Alexis: (getting up and placing the ring in his hand) I can't marry you. Ned: What are you talking about..... Stefan did threaten you didn't he? Alexis: No Ned he didn't I swear.........It's just that....... Ned: .(yelling)That what? Alexis: That this will never work. I'm sorry (Ned starts to walk close to her but she just runs out the door) Scene III Ned: (grabbing her arm before she makes it to her car) Alexis please don't do this to me, to us. I love you, we can work this out. All you have to do is trust me enough to tell me what has you so frighten. Alexis: Ned if you love me as much as you say you do, then you'll let me go. Please Ned: No! ......(he places his hands on her face) There is no way I'm going to allow you to just walk out of my life. Alexis: (trying to hold back the tears) Ned we both knew from the start that things couldn't possible work out for the two of us. Ned: We've made it this far.........and I have no intention of letting it end here. Alexis: It has to..... Ned: Why.? ......... I never thought of you as a quitter. Alexis: I'm not quitting, I'm just being realistic. Ned: (letting go of her and yelling) Your giving up, your putting both of our families disapproval before us. Alexis: Ned I just need some time to figure things out. Ned: Time.......you want time.........(shaking his head) time to want Alexis........ figure out weather or not you love me. (tears slowly fall down his check) Alexis: No (walking over to him and placing her arms around him) Ned Ashton I love you.......I've always loved you. (Ned walks away and leans against her car) I fall in love with you the moment you first kissed me. Ned: Then why are you leaving me? Alexis not knowing what to say walks over to him and kisses him on the check. She looks into his eyes as he grabs her face and kisses her. At first she tries to fight it but her emotions get the better of her. Before long they have embarked into a deep sexually kiss. He picks her up and starts to carry her back to the house, when she suddenly breaks the kiss. Alexis: Ned please put me down. (he puts her down but holds her tight) This isn't going to solve anything. Sex isn't our problem. Ned: I wasn't aware we had a problem. Alexis: Ned...... Ned: (holding both of her hands in his & crying) Alexis please just come inside with me. Let me show you how the outside world doesn't have to affect us. I want to marry you, I want to love you, and yes I want to make love to you. Alexis: Ned when I'm in your arms you do make me believe that the outside world can't touch us....... Ned; It can't.... Alexis: Yes it can. I love you Ned but I can't marry you. Ned stands in silence as he watches Alexis walk away. Alexis gets in her car and slowly drives to the end of the driveway, where she stops and cries her heart out. Ned slowly falls to the ground as the rain begins to fall. Ned:(looking at her ring) I love you Alexis Davis......... I'm not going to let things end...........not like this.........not ever. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 8 Spoon Island. Stefan is standing in the middle of his office going over some papers, when Ned comes storming into his office. Ned grabs Stefan' shirt and throws him up against the wall. Ned: What the hell did you do to Alexis? What did you say to her? Stefan: (trying to push Ned off) Get the hell out of here. How did you get past security? Ned: (grasping him tighter) What did you say to her? How come all of a sudden she's to afraid to marry me. Stefan:(finally pushing Ned off) I didn't say or do anything to her and if she isn't going to marry you well that's just for the better. Ned: We are going to get married! I'm not going to allow the likes of you to get the better of us. Stefan: If you want to blame someone why don't you look at your own family! Ned:Go to hell you bastard! Stefan: Your Grandfather wants nothing to do with my sister. Ned: Funny........she's only your sister when it's convent for you. You don't give a damn about her or her feelings. Stefan: I love my sister. Ned: You have a hell of away of showing it. You've done nothing but make her life a living hell. You treat her like your servant. You could give a crap if she lives or dies as long as she doesn't marry a Quatermaine. Stefan: She'll never marry a Quatermaine I won't allow it. Ned: You can't stop her. Stefan: I don't have to she's already done it herself. Ned: She'll come back to me. Stefan: Or you sure you want her back. She's nothing but a blackmailing, lying, murder! Ned: She's never murder anyone.......unlike the rest of you Cassidines. Stefan: Who the hell do you think was responsible for Katherine's death the first time around? (Ned looks shocked) That's right Ashton you guest it, Alexis. No she didn't do it alone but none the less, was still partially responsible. Ned: Your lying. Stefan: Am I..........fine then ask her yourself. Ned: I would but thanks to you she's not speaking to me. Stefan: Like I said she'll never marry you. She values her life to much to marry a Quatermaine. Ned: you bastard, you did threaten her. Ned punches Stefan in the face and pushes him against the wall. They get into a huge fight, before one of Stefan' henchmen comes in and breaks it up. Stefan: Call the police I want this man arrested. Scene II Alexis' Suite Alexis is sitting on the couch holding the bracelet Ned had just given her a few days ago. She's cried so much that it hurts to cry anymore. The phone rings but she doesn't answer it, just like the last five times that it rang in the last past hour. Alexis knows it's Ned and she can't bare to talk to him. She's so afraid that if she does she'll cave and tell him she'll marry him. She believes that by marring him she'll only be hurting him. Just then their is a knock on the door. Alexis stares at the door but says nothing. She knows Ned has a pass key but hopes he won't use it. Jax: Alexis it's me Jax. Can I come in? Alexis: (gets up and stands against the door) Jax I really don't want to talk about it right now. Jax: Alexis there is something I need to tell you. Please open the door. Alexis: (opening the door & walking back over to the couch) I don't need a lecture on how much Ned & I love each other! Jax: Ned' been arrested Alexis: (standing back up) For what? Jax: Apparently he went over and paid Stefan a visit. (Alexis closes her eyes and shakes her head) Let's just say things got a little out of control and well the next thing you know Stefan was having Ned arrested for assault. Alexis: He hit him. Jax: Trust me as bad as Ned looks I'd hate to see with Stefan looks like. Alexis: You've seen Ned. Jax: Yes. He was taken to the hospital to get some stitches in his head before they hauled him off to jail. Alexis: well wasn't that nice of them. Where is he now. Jax: He's still in jail. I afford to bail him out, but he refused. Alexis: Why? Jax: he's waiting for you. Alexis: He'd rather sit in jail and wait for me then be released. Jax: Yep! Alexis: Well I can't let him sit in jail. So lets go. Scene III PCPD. Alexis & Jax are talking with Mac when Ned is brought upstairs. Alexis: (Handing Ned some papers) You need to sign these and then your free to go.(Ned signs) Jax will take you home. Ned: Can we talk? Alexis: There's nothing to talk about. Except for the fact that I've convinced Stefan to drop the charges against you. Ned: Thank you. Mac: Well if you'll excuse me I'll go and file these. Jax: What do you say we get out of here? Ned: Alexis please can we go somewhere and talk. Alexis: Ned I have work to do. Jax offered to talk you home I suggest you take him up on it. (she walked away) Jax: you look bad man does it hurt? Ned:Not as much as that just did. Come on let's go. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 9 Alexis Suite. Alexis walks into her Suite after a long day in court. She's not surprised to find Ned sitting on the couch waiting for her. Alexis;(somewhat cold) I thought you'd be smart enough to go home. You don't look to good. Ned: How am I suppose to look when the woman I love gives me back my ring and tells me she no longer loves me. Alexis: I never said that! Ned: you didn't have to. Actions speak louder then words. Alexis: you honestly think I don't love you? Ned: I don't know what to think. One minute your happy that we're getting married and the next thing I know you're telling me you can't marry me. Alexis: Ned it's just better this way. Does your face hurt much? Ned: No it's not better this way, there is nothing better about this whole situation. Alexis; Did they give you anything for pain? Ned: Alexis please don't do this, talk to me. Tell me what's wrong. Alexis: We've already gone over this Ned. Ned: (yelling) NO we haven't! I demand to know what's keeping you from marrying me. Alexis: Don't yell at me. Ned; (raising his voice even louder) Why not? Nothing else seems to work with you. I love you damn it and I know you love me, so what gives? Alexis: (yelling back at him) If your going to just stand there and yell at me then I want you to leave........ now! (she walks over to the door and opens it) Ned: (walks over to the door and slams it shut) I'm not leaving! Alexis; (yelling) Fine then I'll just call downstairs and have you personally removed! Ned:(being his oh so smug self) Try it. Remember I own this hotel!....... They are not going to throw me out! Alexis: (yelling)They will if I threaten to sue them and have them thrown in Jail. Ned: I'll just bail them out. Alexis: (still yelling) What the hell do you want from me? Ned: This! (he grabs her and kisses her) Alexis: (pulling away) Stop. (he kisses her neck) I want you to stop.......now! Ned:(very calmly says) No. (he kisses her again) Alexis: Ned this isn't funny. Ned; It's not meant to be.........I love you and I'm not giving up. (Ned walks over to the couch and sits down) Have you eaten dinner yet, because I'm starving? What do you say we order room service? How does Lamb sound to you? (he picks up the phone) Alexis: What are you doing? Ned: I'm ordering dinner. Alexis: Why? Ned: I told you I'm hungry. (she just looks at him) I'm not leaving till you agree to marry me! (Alexis just rolls her eyes and sits down on the chair across from him) Scene II A few hours later Alexis is sitting at her desk going over some L&B paper work. Ned is half a sleep on the couch. Alexis just looks at him and can't believe he's being so persistent, it's killing her to have him there. Alexis: Well fine. (she throws a file at him) As long as you insist on being here then let's at least get some work done. Ned: (throwing the file back at her) No. I didn't come here to work. Alexis: So what do you plan on doing................. just lye there all day? Ned: No. Alexis: Good! Ned: Well see I can't lye here all day because it's night. Alexis: You think you're funny don't you? Ned: Nope just serious..............serious about getting you back. Alexis: (walking over to the couch) Sit up and we'll talk. Ned: (sitting up allowing her to sit down next to him) Thank you. Alexis: Well it seems to be that I've run out of choices. The only way I'm going to get you out of here is if we talk, Correct? Ned: I don't recall saying anything about leaving. Alexis half smiles at him, and he knows he's getting to her. Scene III Alexis: Ned you have to know that I love you. Ned: I do. I never doubted that for a minute. Alexis; But you said....... Ned: I know what I said. I was just trying to shake whatever is bothering you out. Alexis: I'm scared. Ned: Of what? .........Me? Alexis: No! I know you'd never hurt me. It's just my family and yours, they're so against this marriage. I'm scared that if I marry you something bad will happen. Ned: Something bad already did happen. (she looks at him questionable) You gave me back my ring. (he pulls the ring out of his pocket) Don't you see Alexis by you telling me you won't marry me they've already won. Alexis: Things will never be right between our families. Ned: They don't have to be, as long as things are alright between us. As long as we love each other, they can not hurt us. We have something that they can't touch, love........ purified, unconditional love. (Alexis starts to cry) It's the same love that will get us through the hard times. It's the same love that will get us through the good times. It's the same love that's going to get us through right here and now. And most importantly it's the same love that's going to make you my wife. Alexis Davis will you please show me the power of that love and marry me? Everything after you saying yes, will have no power over us what so ever. Alexis: You're making it nearly impossible for me to say anything else. Ned; Well then I'm going to have to make it impossible. (he puts his hand on her face) What do you say we get a place of our own away from both of our families, a place where it's just you and me, and the baby of course. Alexis: Ned I'm not pregnant. Ned: I thought you told me I was? Alexis: Ned Ashton what am I going to do with you? Ned: Marry me! Alexis: Yes...... Yes I'll marry you.........but only on one condition. Ned: agreed. (he pulls her towards him and kisses her) Alexis: you don't even know what I want. Ned: Yes I do.........you want they same thing I do. The only difference is your to proud to say it out loud. You want to make love to me. (he picks her up off the couch and heads towards the bedroom) So what the hell are we waiting for? Alexis: (after Ned drops her on the bed) I want to start looking for a house tomorrow. Ned: (standing over her) Actually I already bought a house. It was suppose to be my wedding gift to you, but I'll just have to find another one. Alexis: (grabs him and pulls him down on top of him) You bought us a house. Ned: Yep. We can go look at it first thing tomorrow, and if you don't like it..........well then I guess I'll just have to buy you another one. Alexis: I love you Mr Ashton. Ned: I love you Mrs Ashton......... God that sounds so good! (she reaches up and kisses him as they make love) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 10 Ned & Alexis drive slowly down a long shelled driveway, Alexis is shocked by the size of the two story house they end up in front of. Alexis:(Getting out of the car) Ned you said you bought a small house. This is not a small house. Ned: (walking up behind her and placing his arms around her waist) Well compared to the house my family lives in this is small. Alexis: The Quatermaines don't own a house they own a Mansion. Ned: Oh now you tell me. So what are you saying you don't like it? Alexis: Well so far I love it.(she grabs his hands and runs towards the front stairs) Come on I want to go inside. They walk inside and much to Alexis' surprise there's not only a fire burning in the fireplace, but a blanket in front of it. Next to it there's a dozen red long stem roses and all the makings for a romantic evening. Alexis: Ned when did you have time to do all of this? We were together all day going over L&B business. Ned: Well I called Jax and had him set everything up. Alexis: That's why you insisted we take care of all that paperwork before coming here. Ned: Yep. Come here. (he walks her over to the blanket and they sit down) Glass of Champaign? Of course if you'd rather see the rest of the house first....... Alexis: No, I'd love a glass. (he hands her a glass) Thank you. Ned: I just realized something. Alexis:Really what's that? Ned: Your not wearing my ring. Alexis: That's because you never gave it back to me. Ned: Oh...... Do you want it back. Alexis: Yes! Ned: Are you sure. Alexis:(kissing him) Damn sure. Ned: um, I love it when you get so demanding. Alexis: Really? Ned: Really. Alexis: Well then shut up and kiss me. she pulls him towards her and kisses him. He grabs her back and throws her down on the blanket. Alexis: Ned. Ned: (kissing her neck) Yes Alexis Alexis: when can we move in? Ned:(unbuttoning her shirt) Right after we christen the place. Alexis: Ned. Ned: (sitting up and taking his shirt off) Yes Alexis. Alexis: When can I get my ring back. Ned: (kissing down towards her chest) Right after we christen the place. Alexis: (with a sad voice) But I want it now! Ned: (placing his hands up her skirt and removing her stockings) So do I! Alexis: (Laughing) Ned Ashton, watch where you put those hands. Ned: Oh trust me I don't have to watch them, they have a mind all of their own.(with that he removes her skirt) Alexis: (she screams) So it would appear. Ned: (chewing on her ear & whispering )Would you like me to stop? Alexis: Only if you plan on.....(she moans, he's driving her crazy)..........given me back my ring. Ned: If you want your ring back you'll just have to earn it. Alexis: (unbuckling his pants) How? Ned; Well for starters that works. (he kisses her and they make mad passionate love in front of a roaring fire) Scene II Ned & Alexis are getting dressed. Ned: So would you like a grand tour or what? Alexis: I'd love one. Ned: I think we should start with the master bedroom. Alexis: What do you plan on doing it right there on the floor? Ned: Oh I didn't mention that I had the Master bedroom completely furnished? Alexis: No! Did you really? I want to see it. Ned: Your wish is my command. (he walks her upstairs) So what do you think? Alexis: I love it, it's beautiful. (she sits on the bed) Wait this isn't your bed. Ned: Nope, I bought a new one. (sitting down beside her) I want us to have everything new. Alexis: Everything? Ned: Everything! (she looks at him seductively) Okay almost everything. (they laugh) So do you want to see the nursery? Alexis:(laughing) Your still stuck on this baby thing aren't you? Ned: Yep! Alexis I've been thinking so much about this and I think it's time that we start trying to have a child. Alexis: Wow! Where did that come from? .............Up until now I thought you were just kidding with all this baby talk. Ned: At first I was but the more I said it............the more real it became. And now.............well now I can't stop thinking about it. I want us to have a baby, I want to be there when our child is born. I want to raise him or her and I want us to be a family. Alexis: Ned I don't know if I'm ready to become a Mother. Ned: Alexis I didn't know if I was ready to become a Father and after Brooke-Lynn was born I still didn't know. I mean I never got to see her until she could practically hold her head up. I wasn't there when she said her first word or for that matter drew her first breath. Alexis: You weren't around when she was born? Ned: No Lois left while she was pregnant. Alexis: I knew you didn't get to see her much as a baby, but I had no idea you weren't there when she was born. Ned: I want to see our baby being born. I want to be able to talk to our unborn child. I want us to decorate the nursery together. I want to be a Father a real Father in every sense of the word. Alexis please tell me you'll think about it. Alexis: With desire like that how could I not. I promise I'll think about it. Ned: Thank you. Oh by the way did you want this back? Alexis:(laughing) My ring, I almost forgot. Ned slips the ring on her finger, kisses her and then shows her the rest of their brand new house. |
