Chapter 29 Ned is standing up at the alter with Jax next to him. The minister looks at them before signaling to the pianist to start playing. As the music begins Chloe slowly begins to walk down the aisle. Nikolas and Alexis are standing in the back just barely out of sight, when Stefan walks over to them. Alexis: (shocked) Stefan what are you doing here? Stefan: You know how I feel about you marring a Quatermaine but I also now that you'd hate me for every if I didn't attend. Alexis: Stefan I love you I could never hate you. Stefan: I love you to and would love to escort you down the aisle. Nik: It should of been you all along. Alexis: are you sure you don't mind Nik? Nik: positive, all I want is for you to be a happy and I know having Stefan walk you don't that aisle is something you've always wanted. Alexis: (looking at Stefan) That it is, thank you (she begins to cry and hugs him) Stefan; (taking her arm) I do believe that's our cue, shall we. Alexis smiles at Stefan one last time before they begin to walk down the aisle. Ned looks shocked to see Stefan on Alexis' arm, but quickly gets over it seeing how happy she is. For Alexis time seems to be almost standing still as they finally reach the minister. Minister: Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to bring together this two people in holy matrimony. Alexis: (looking at Ned and taking his hand) Ned makes me happy Stefan. Stefan just glares at Ned and then take his seat. Minister: Do you Ned Ashton take this woman Alexis Davis to be your lawfully wedded wife? Ned: I do. Minister: Do you Alexis Davis take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband. Alexis: (whispering in Ned' ear) I hate that word. Ned: (laughing) I know you do but just ignore it and say I do. Alexis:(looking deep into Ned's eyes) I do. Minister: May I have the rings. Jax hands the Minister the rings and he blesses them. Minister: Ned and Alexis have decided to say there own vows. Ned; With this ring I Ned Ashton give you my heart and my soul. She looks at the minister and then back to Ned. She sighs heavily and once again begins to cry. Ned wipes the tears from her eyes. Ned: It's okay Alexis just breathe easily. Alexis: (sighing again before looking deep into his eyes) With this ring I Alexis Davis give you my heart and my soul. Nobody has ever loved me the way you do and that Mr Ashton is my world. Ned pulls Alexis close and stares deep into her eyes before pulling her into a full blown kisses. Everyone claps as the Minister turns and says. Minister: I now give you Mr and Mrs Ned Ashton. Helena:(standing in the back) What the hell happened to does anyone object to this wedding. Ned: (holding Alexis tight) After my last wedding I made sure that part wasn't included, besides I knew you would eventually show up and try and ruin our wedding. Sonny's men come out of nowhere and grab Helena by the arm. Helena: Why this is an outrage I happen to be the Mother of the bride. Alexis: (annoyed) Excuse me but you are not my Mother. Stefan: (gets up and walks over to her) I want you to leave now! Helena: You can't honestly tell me you approve of your bastard sister marring a Quatermaine. Edward: (walking in) Lady it's a hell of a lot better then a Quatermaine marring a Cassidine. Ned takes Alexis' arm and motions for her to come with him. The leave as Jax watches and then stands next to Chloe. Jax: Isn't this great two families coming together as one and we get a ring side seat. Chloe: (annoyed) That isn't even funny. Jax; I thought it was. Lila: Edward what are you doing here? Edward: Oh you thought you could keep this wedding a secret? Monica: That was the idea. Ned: Sweetheart I'm sorry maybe this wasn't such a good idea. Alexis: (putting her hand on his face) Yes it was and I love you. Don't worry I'm sure Stefan will make sure Helena leaves and doesn't bother us any more, besides she's already made her presents know and that's all she really wanted. Ned; Do you know how much I love you Mrs Ashton! (they kiss) Alexis: The noise seems to be getting quieter. Ned; No I think it's just that we're getting use to it. (he kisses her) So how are you and that baby of ours feeling? Alexis: I feel fine but the baby is..... Ned: (cutting in) hungry! (they laugh) are you sure this isn't to much for you. (concerned) because if it is we can leave and find some place quiet. Alexis: I don't want to go anywhere besides it's my wedding day and I haven't even gotten a chance to dance with the groom. Ned: (taking her hands) Your wish is my command. Mrs Ashton my I have this dance? Alexis: But there isn't any music. Ned: I can take care of that as well. Ned pulls Alexis towards him and she places her head against his chest. They begin to dance as he begins to sing. Jax: Okay break it up. Ned: (reluctantly pulling his lips away from hers) I've noticed the fighting has stopped any survivors? Jax: Stefan left with Helena and wanted me to tell you congratulations. Ned: You know I was kinda sad about the fact that Brooke couldn't be here today but now I think I'm glad she wasn't. Alexis: Maybe she can come visit after the baby is born. Ned: Sounds like a plan. (they kiss) Emily: (walking over to them) I hate to interrupt but the foods getting cold. Ned: Why is it every time I try and kiss you someone tells me they're sorry for interrupting? Alexis: Don't worry honey soon every one will be gone and there won't be anyone left to interrupt us. With cake still in his mouth he grabs her and kisses her. She pulls back and wipes frosting on his nose and then licks it off. Ned places his hands on her leg and slowly runs his hands up her leg and onto her thigh. He gives her a strange look and then picks up her gown and looks underneath. Ned: Oh I found it all right it's just not where she said it would be. (he whispers in her ear) Well finish this later. Alexis: I can't wait. Ned flings the garter into the air and Lucky catches it. Emily picks her leg up and places it on the chair while Lucky puts the garter on her. The higher he places it the more she blushes as everyone laughs. Ned: Alright that's high enough. Now everyone get out. Alexis: Ned! Please everyone ignore him and have fun the night is still young. Emily; Hey we're going to take off Ned: Thanks for coming guys. Well it looks like the only ones left our your family so why don't you get them the hell out of here. He pulls her around the front of him so she can sit on his lap. Ned: I thought you were sleeping? Alexis: I was until I rolled over and you weren't there.(He places his hand on her stomach) Penny for your thoughts. Ned: I was just thinking about how wonderful today was and how wonderful the rest of our life together as Husband and Wife is going to be. (the baby kicks and they laugh) it's unanimous. Alexis: I love you Mr Ashton Ned: (his lips on hers) I love you Mrs Ashton. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 31 Ned and Alexis have come back from their weekend in the cabin, which actually turned into two weeks. Alexis wanted to stay longer but Ned felt that they shouldn't be to far away from home with her being so close to her due date. On their way home Ned made a slight detour and picked up Brooke-Lynn. The Ashton Living room. Ned and Brooke are playing on the floor when Jax comes downstairs. Jax: Good Morning Ned: Yes actually it is a rather good morning Jax: Alexis still sleeping? Ned: No she went with Bobbie, Emily and Chloe to breakfast, Something about girl talk. Jax: In other words you weren't invited. Ned: Right. (the phone rings) Ashton. Juan: Mr Ashton it's me Juan I hate to tell you this but one of the pipes in the bathroom busted and there's water everywhere. Ned: What......anything ruined. Juan: Not yet. I've called a plumber he's on his way, but I can't figure out how to turn the water off. Ned: Great ...just make sure none of the equipment gets wet and I'll be right there. Ned:(yelling) Would you like to explain to me again how you could have lost a 5 year old child. Jax; Ned you need to calm down, will find her. Ned; Calm down you want me to calm down somebody took my daughter and you want me to calm down. Damn you Jax if anything happens to her you'll be sorry. Jax: Ned we don't know that somebody took her. Ned: Well then where the hell is she? (the phone rings) What! Emily; Ned it's me Emily..... Ned: Emily I don't really have time for this. Emily: Alexis went into labor! Ned; What.....when Emily: just a little bit ago. Se just left in an ambulance on her way to General hospital. Ned; thanks Em. (he hangs up) Jax: Did she find Brooke. Ned: No Alexis just went into labor. (he throws the phone across the room) Jax; You need to be there for her. Ned: I need to find my daughter. Jax: Listen to me Ned if someone were to have taken Brooke.............. who would it have been. Ned: Helena. Jax: Right so you need to be with Alexis when this baby is born and keep them both safe. I'll talk to the police when they get here and then I'll do everything possible to find her myself. Ned; Jax what if she's scared what if they hurt her....what if Helena doesn't have her? Ned: Brooke's gone I think Helena has her. Nik; What? Ned: I don't know but she's missing and Helena is the only person I can think of her would want to harm her. Doctor: Yes just a soon as her daddy comes over here and cuts the cord. Ned cuts the cord and the doctor hands him his little girl. Ned walks over to Alexis and places their daughter in her arms. Alexis: She's beautiful. Ned; Of course she is, she takes after her mother. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sonny' Penthouse~ The phone rings and he answers it. Sonny: Yea...what are you sure.......okay how long ago....thanks. Jax: What is it? Sonny; Helena's boat took off about an hour ago.........and she had a little girl with her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 33 General Hospital~ Alexis' Room Ned and Alexis are lying on the bed together holding there little girl. The doctor is gone but Bobbie is still in the room. Ned: So what are we going to name her? Alexis: I don't know. (looking up at him) Ned what's wrong? Ned; I told you nothing is wrong.....( he kisses her) Now what are we going to name our little girl. Bobbie: Excuse me but I need to take the baby, have her cleaned up a little more and run a few test on her. Don't worry it won't hurt and yes I'll bring her back soon. Alexis; oh but I don't want to let her go. Bobbie: Like I said I'll bring her back I promise Alexis kisses her daughter and then hands her to Bobbie. Bobbie places the baby in her crib and they leave. Ned: (kisses Alexis on the forehead) Sweetie I'll be right back as well. Alexis:(Disappointed) where are you going? Listen don't worry about this little one I'll keep a real close eye on her, and then when I'm done I'll bring her right back to Alexis. Ned: Thanks Bobbie. Nik: comes running up as Bobbie starts to walk away. Nik: Hey guys.(he looks down at the baby) Ned: yes Nik that there is your new little baby girl cousin. Nik: Does she have a name yet. Ned: No, (Bobbie leaves) what did you find out? Nik: Nothing Helena is gone. Ned: (trying not to yell) What do you mean gone! Nik: She left the dock a few hours ago. Ned; Was Brooke with her? Alexis: Hey yourself, where did you go I thought you said you'd be right back. Ned: I did. (he smiles at her) but I had a little earn to run first. Alexis; What'd ya get me ? Ned: What makes you think I got you anything? Alexis: Because you're holding your hands behind your back. Ned: I am (turns his head around and looks behind him) So I am. Alexis: well are you just going to stand there or are you going to give me my present. Ned walks over to her and lends down to give her a kiss. He then hands her a Small Teddy bear holding a box full of candy in front of it with a small balloon above it that say's "It's a girl". Alexis: Oh Ned it's so cute. Ned: No it's you who is so cute. (they kiss) Alexis: so did you tell everyone that we had a baby girl? (Ned closes his eyes and sighs) Okay that's it Ned now I know something's wrong, what is it? Ned: I was in such a hurry to go down to the gift shop and get back up here before Bobbie came back with the baby, and I forgot to tell any one that we had a baby girl. Alexis: (stern) Ned Ashton your lying to me and I want to know why! Ned: I'm not really I didn't tell anyone.....oh wait I did tell Nikolas. Alexis: (pleading) Ned please tell me what's wrong. Jax: (walking in) Hey there can I come in? Ned; Jax come on in. Ned gives Jax a look and he just shakes his head. Jax then walks over to Alexis and gives her a big hug and kiss. Sonny: Ned I haven't heard anything about your daughter but I've got my men on it. Ned: Thanks Sonny but I need to know if you have any men you can spare? Sonny; What's wrong. Ned; Alexis just had the baby and I don't want Helena getting anywhere near them. Sonny: Okay I'll see who I can spare and get down there as soon as possible. Ned: Thanks. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Alexis' room~ Jax; So how's the new mommy feeling? Alexis: Jax something's bothering Ned. Jax; Oh Alexis he's probably just excited about becoming a father again. Alexis; I don't know Jax I can't place it but something just isn't right, I'm worried about him. Jax: Hey the only thing you should be worried about is your brand new little girl and giving her a name. Alexis: (looking at him) You know what's bothering him, don't you? Jax: Alexis nothing is wrong. Alexis: (pleading) Jax please tell me. Jax: Alexis if there were something wrong, you know I'd tell you. (Bobbie walks in with the baby) Hey there's the little one. Bobbie picks up the baby and hands her to Alexis. Alexis: hey mommy missed you. Bobbie: well she's hungry, would you like to try and feed her. Jax; Cool where's the bottle. Bobbie; She doesn't need one. Alexis is planning on breast feeding the baby. Jax: (gets up and kisses Alexis) Well I know my cue to leave. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 34 Jax walks up to Ned whose on the phone with his Grandmother. Ned: Yes Grandmother both Alexis and the baby are doing fine. Lila: Oh dear please give her my best and tell her that I will come and see her first thing tomorrow morning. Ned; I will Grandmother. (he hangs up) Jax: Listen you need to tell Alexis something, she already senses something is wrong. Ned: Yea I know, I just didn't want to tell her now. Damn it Jax today should be one of the happiest days for her. Sonny:( walks over) Hey Ashton, I got the man you asked for. Ned; Thanks Sonny, but I don't want Alexis to know he's around. Sonny: Don't worry about it. I have several men placed strategically around the hospital and they know how to make themselves invisible. Ned: Alright thanks. I need to get back to Alexis, let me know the minute you hear anything. Jax: What about Lois, have you called her? Ned: Not yet, but one problem at a time. I need to tell Alexis first. ~~~~~~~~ Ned walks into Alexis' room to find her and the baby lying together in the bed sound asleep. Ned walks over to them and sit down quietly in the chair next to them. Alexis: Where have you been? Ned; I thought you were sleeping? Alexis: No just resting my eyes and holding our daughter. Ned; you don't know how lovely the two of you looked when I walked through that door. Alexis; (blushing) I love you. Ned; I love you too. (they kiss) God she's so tiny. Alexis: Would you like to hold her? Ned: No that's okay she looks perfectly comfortable lying with her mommy, besides I've got a better idea. Ned climbs up into bed with her and holds them both. Alexis; I like your idea better. (they kiss) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ned is lying in bed watching Alexis and his daughter sleep. He can't believe how peaceful they look and just the thought of telling her that Helena has Brooke is killing him inside. Ten thousand things are racing through his mind. He doesn't know what Helena might do to Brooke or how scared she really is. He's scared about the way Alexis is going to react to the news, because he knows the first thing that's going to hit her mind is their baby. Then there's Lois, how on earth is he suppose to tell her Brooke has been kidnapped. Alexis looks up at Ned and sees the worry and fear in his eyes. She knows something is wrong and yet she can't seem to make him tell her. Alexis: Ned, Honey. Ned: hey you I didn't know you woke up. Listen the baby's still sleeping and so should you. Alexis:You didn't notice I was a wake because you were a million miles away. (he leans down and kisses her) Can you put our daughter back in her bassinet? Ned: Sure I can. (he picks up his daughter) Hey there sleepy head it's your daddy and I love you. Ned kisses his daughter before placing her in the bassinet. He then sits back on the bed with Alexis and holds her hands. Ned: She's so beautiful, just like her mommy. Alexis: Ned please tell me what's happening with you? Ned: Oh Alexis I don't know how to tell you this, and further more I shouldn't have to. Alexis: Ned what is it you're scaring me? Ned: Brooke's gone and we think Helena has her. Alexis; (freaking out) What? Ned: Alexis calm down. Alexis: Why would she take Brooke? Brooke's your daughter not mine? Oh Ned this is all my fault. Ned: Hey you didn't take Brooke or make Helena take her. It's not your fault and we are going to get her back. Alexis: (crying hysterically and holding Ned tight) Oh Ned I'm so sorry. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ashton House~ Jax comes through the front door slamming it behind him out of frustration. He walks around the room and throws his keys on the table. He heads upstairs and takes a shower. About 45 minutes later Jax hears a strange noise and walks downstairs. He's in total shock to see Brooke sitting in front of the TV watching cartoons. He runs over to her and picks her up. Jax: Brooke sweetheart you have no idea how happy I am to see you. ( he hugs her tight) Are you okay? Brooke: Where's daddy? Jax: Where have you been? Brooke: I went to the playground with my new friend Dave. Jax; the playground? Brooke: yeah it took for ever to get there but it was really neat. It has this really big slide and I had a lot of fun. Where's daddy? Jax: I'm going to call your daddy right now and tell him you're home. Brooke: Dave said Daddy was going to meet us at the playground but he never showed up. Jax: That's because your daddy had something really important to do. Brooke: Yea Dave said that Daddy was at the hospital. Jax: he did? Brooke: yea because Alexis was having a baby, so Dave brought me home and told me to wait for you to get out of the shower. Jax; Brooke Sweetie did anyone else go to the playground with you and Dave? Brooke: Nope. Jax: Okay you sit right here and watch TV, I'm going to call your daddy and tell him you're home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Alexis' Room Alexis: Oh Ned what if Helena comes after our baby? Ned: Hey don't worry about that, I've gotten everything under control. Alexis: you shouldn't be here right now you need to go and find Brooke. Ned: I need to call Lois and tell her as well. Alexis; you haven't called her yet? Ned: No you went into labor and (he's cell phone rings and he picks it up) Ashton. Jax; Ned it's me Brooke I'm at the house and Brooke is with me. Ned: What? Jax: Yea I went upstairs to take a shower and when I came down she was sitting in the living room watching TV. Ned: Thank god (he hugs Alexis and whispers in her ear Brooke's home) Do me a favor and bring her down to the hospital? Jax: We'll be right there. Ned: Thanks Jax. (he hangs up and Alexis looks at him) He said she was watching TV when he got out of the shower. Alexis; But how? Ned: I don't know and right about now I don't care. My little girl is home and that's all that matters right now.
