Chapter 17 General Hospital Nurses station. Edward is hollering at Alan as they walk towards the waiting area. Alan: Father please this is a hospital. Edward: My Grandson is lying in a hospital bed for nearly a month now with absolutely no results and you call this place a hospital? Alan: Oh please....he's getting the best care possible. Edward: And that's the problem...This hospitals best care is a joke. (Alan just shakes his head) I'm having him moved to Chicago. There are doctors there that can make him well. Alan; Father now you've gone and lost it. Ned isn't going anywhere. He's in a coma nobody can help him, but him. He will wake up when he's ready. I know you're worried about him, we all are. Besides do you really want to move him away from his family. If anybody is going to make Ned Ashton wake up it's Alexis Davis...... Edward: That woman is not family! Alan: She means more to him then anyone else and they are engaged. Edward: A wedding I reassure you, is not going to happen. Alan: You know what I don't have time for you right now, I have patience's to see. Now if you'll excuse me. Edward: (yelling at Alan as he walks away) It's all that Cassidines fault in the first place. If it wasn't for that woman Ned would still be running ELQ! Where he belongs. (mumbling to himself as he walks down the hall) No instead she's got him writing music again and wearing leather pants. Scene II Stefan who has just come from a meeting in his office at the hospital, notices Alexis crying outside Ned's door. Stefan: Alexis are you alright? Alexis: Stefan leave me alone! Stefan: (taking her hands and pulling her to her feet) This is no way to be acting. You shouldn't be lying on some hospital floor crying about a man who is no good for you. Alexis: (sarcastic) Leave it to you to point out my failures.......as you see them! Stefan: You look pale. Alexis: (sarcastic) I'm fine....... thanks for caring. Stefan: I'm actually glad I ran into you. I need your help. Why don't you go home and pull yourself together and I'll see you at the Island in about an hour. Alexis: I'm not going anywhere, I need to be here when Ned wakes up. Stefan: Ashton isn't going to be waking up anytime soon Alexis. Now I'll see you in an hour. Alexis: I said No! Stefan: (grabbing her arm)You'll do as your told! Jax: (walking down the hall) Or what? Stefan: Why don't you mind your own business? This is a private conversation. Jax: In a public hall? Alexis by the way is my business. (looking at Alexis) Are you okay? Alexis: Yea I was just on my way back into see Ned. Jax: Good then, will go see him together. (taking Alexis's hand) Stefan good day! Scene III Alexis is standing by the door listening to Jax talk to Ned. Jax: Hey there buddy......you know you really need to wake up. Everybody's so worried about you, hey even I'm becoming a little concerned. Personally I think the only reason you're still lying in the hospital bed is to get attention. (Alexis slightly laughs) You know this woman over here needs you. I don't know why but she thinks she can't live without you. Don't worry I've been telling her how wrong she is. In fact I even tried to convince her to start dating someone worth wild.........I might have even gotten her to listen to me but you again beat me by making the woman pregnant. Which by the way was a nice business tactic, It's always a good idea to keep a hold on your investments. (Alexis walks over to him and places her hand on his shoulder) You know Ashton I don't know how you did it?(looking at Alexis and then back at Ned) How on earth you convinced a beautiful, intelligent, sexy woman to call you the perfect man. There isn't anything she wouldn't do for you and now it's your turn. You need to wake up and tell her how wrong she is. See I'm the only prefect man, the only difference between you and me Ashton is well..........you have Alexis ........which doesn't make you the perfect man just a lucky one. Alexis: Well he's perfect to me and that's all that counts. Jax: Do yourself a favor and remember that. Alexis: I do everyday......... Jax? Jax: Yes! Alexis: Why won't he wake up? Jax: I don't know.......but he will, just have faith. (Alexis smiles at him) Hey I have something to tell the two of you. Alexis: What's that? Jax: Lois called me this morning and her and Brooke are coming for a visit. They'll be here tomorrow. Alexis: Do you really think it's a good idea for Brooke to see her daddy like this? Jax: Yes I do. Lois say Brooke has been crying herself to sleep every night since the accident and I think seeing him might do both her and Ned some good. Alexis: I hope you're right. Jax: Alexis listen it's been a long day. Why don't you let me take you home so you can take a shower and get some sleep. Before you protest remember your pregnant and you need sleep as much as the baby does. Alexis: Okay you win, I'll go home. Just give me five more minutes with him. Jax: Okay I'll be right outside. (he leaves) Alexis: Hey there sleepy head it's me remember the woman who yelled at you earlier today. Well I'm going to go home now and take a shower and get some sleep. But I couldn't leave and have you think I was mad at you. I'd never forgive myself if you didn't wake up just because I yelled at you. I love you Ned Ashton and I'll be back tomorrow, I promise. (she kisses him oh so lightly on the lips as she whispers) Sweet dreams! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 18 The Next morning Alexis is sitting in her living room, talking to her unborn child. Alexis: (rubbing her stomach) Hey there little one, it's me your mommy. Your daddy and I love you so much and can't wait for you top be born. (almost crying) I know you want to hear your daddy's voice , (she sighs) trust me so do I. You know your sister Brooke is coming into town today to talk to him, maybe the sound of her voice will bring him around. He loves Brooke so much and it just kills him that he doesn't get to spend much time with here. (there's a knock on the door) Well why don't we see who that is. (she gets up and answers the door) Monica: Good morning Alexis, may I come in? Alexis: (panicking) Did something happen to Ned? Monica: (giving her a hug) No, Ned's fine. I didn't mean to scare you I just came over to make sure you were alright. Alexis: Thanks Monica.....please come in can I get you some coffee. Monica: That would be great thank you. (Alexis pours her some coffee and hands it to her) Things at the house were.....well in normal..... Alexis; dysfunctional mode? Monica: You can say that again. (they laugh) Listen the reason I stopped by is I was wondering if you planned on telling the family you were pregnant. Alexis: I hadn't thought much about it..........(sadly) I always thought that Ned would be there with me when we made the official announcement. Monica: I'm sorry Alexis I know this is hard on you.......it's just your so far along and you really could use some moral support. Not that I'm saying the Quatermaines are going to give you moral support......... it's just Edward might back off on you a little if he knew you were carrying his great grandchild. Alexis: I don't know Monica......I'll think about it, I promise............ I have an appointment with my obstetrician at 11:30 today, would you mind coming with me? I'd feel better if I weren't alone. Monica: No problem I'll be there. Listen why don't you let me drive you to the hospital. Lois said that her and Brooke would be there around one. This way you can see Ned before she gets there and before your appointment. Alexis:(looking down at her stomach) I'd like that. Scene II Alexis sits down next to Ned and holds his hands. Alexis; Good morning sweetheart. I've got a surprise for ya, and I know your just going to love it. Lois is brining Brooke here to seeing you later this afternoon. She's really worried about you, she misses her daddy so much........(quietly) I miss you so much. well let's see.....things at L&B are going pretty good. Nickolas signed on a new band, they're really good. Of course they're not half as good as you are. Nobody makes my heart melt the way you do, You know Ned Ashton your going to have to sing me a song when you wake up I believe you still owe me one. Monica; (peaking her head through the door) Hey is this a private party or can anyone come in? Alexis: Is it that time already? Monica:Yep a little scared huh? Alexis: It shows huh? (they laugh) I can't believe I'm so far along and never knew it. I haven't been sick much at all, well at least I don't recall being that sick. Monica: With everything you've had to deal with I'm surprised if you even know what day it is. Think about it you've been wearing baggier clothes now for weeks. Alexis; I know I just thought I was gaining weight. Monica: You are! (they laugh) Come on let's go see you're doctor. Scene III Monica and Alexis are walking towards Ned's hospital room coming back from her appointment and run into Lois and Brooke-Lynn. Monica: Well hello there. (looking at her watch) Your early. Lois: Yea I know Brooke here can't wait to see her daddy. Monica: Lois do you mind if we go over there for a minute and talk before seeing Ned. (to Alexis) Would you mind watching Brooke? Alexis: I'd love to. (noticing Brooke's doll) So Brooke-Lynn what's your doll name? (they walk away) Brooke: I don't know. Alexis: What she doesn't have a name. Well you know we'll just have to give her one. What should we call her? Brooke; I don't know. Alexis: Do you have a favorite name (Brooke shakes her head) how about a best friend. (she shakes her head again) Well this is harder then I thought it would be. Meanwhile Monica is talking with Lois about Ned. Monica: Did you explain to Brooke about all the tubes and equipment in Ned's room. Lois: Yes, I tried to explain it to her the best I could. Monica: well then let's take her in there to see her daddy. (they walk back over to Alexis and Brooke) Brooke: (to Alexis) Do you have a best friend. Lois: (picking Brooke up) I know I do.....you. So are you ready to go see your daddy? Brooke: Are Aunt Monica and Alexis going to come with us? Alexis: We can if you'd like. Brooke: (smiling) I'd like. scene IV Lois walks over to Ned with Brooke still in her arms, while Monica and Alexis stand by the end of his bed. Lois: Hey there Nedly....I mean Ned.........I brought Brooke by to see ya. Brooke: I love you Daddy. (to Lois) Can I sit with Daddy? Lois: (putting Brooke next to him) Why of course you can. Just be careful and don't touch the wires okay honey. Brooke: Okay Mommy. (looking at Lois) Why won't daddy wake up? I want Daddy to wake up. Lois doesn't know what to say. So after a few minutes Alexis who now has tears in her eyes walks to the other side of the bed and sits down next to him. Alexis; (taking Brooke's hand) Well you see sweetie your daddy is really tired and he just needs some sleep. Brooke: Will he be awake next time I see him? Alexis: I don't know sweetheart but I sure hope so. Brooke: Mommy can I stay here with daddy till he wakes up. Lois: Brooke honey that could be along time from now. Why don't we come back later and see him. Brooke; (crying) I want to stay with my daddy! Alexis: You know Lois if you want Brooke can stay here and keep me company for a while while we wait for Ned to wake up. I don't mind really. Lois; Are you sure Alexis? She can be a hand full and you must already be under so much stress. Monica: You know I think Brooke spending time with Ned and Alexis is just what the doctor ordered. (looking at Alexis) All the way around. Come on Lois what do you say we go across the street and get some lunch. I could use a break. Lois: Okay I'll be back soon Brooke. (she kisses her and they leave) Alexis just sits on the bed and listens to Brooke talk to her daddy and cries. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 19 A week has past since Brooke came to visit Ned in the hospital and yet there has still been no change in his condition. Lois decides it's time for her and Brooke to go back to New York. Alexis fearing the worst decides to tell Lila about the baby. Rose garden on the Quatermaine Estates. Alexis: Good morning Lila, may I sit with you a moment? Lila:Why yes dear it's so nice to see you. How are you feeling. Alexis: (sitting next to her and taking her hand) like I just lost my best friend. Lila: Ned' not...... Alexis : No Lila No! I didn't mean to scare you. I'm so sorry. Lila: He'll come back to us dear just believe. Alexis: I don't know if I can anymore. I've gone from believing to disbelieving some many times in the last 6 weeks. I love him so much Lila. Lila: I know you do dear and my darling Grandson loves you so much. You need to hold on to that love and not let go. Alexis:(smiling) I won't............ I came here because I have some news I'd like to share with you. Lila: What is it dear, you can tell me anything. Alexis: Lila I'm pregnant. Lila; Oh dear that's the best news I've heard in a long time. Alexis: You know I haven't told anyone yet and for some reason telling you just made me feel like.............like I've........I can't explain it............ (smiling) I just feel like everything is going to be alright. Thank you so much Lila. Lila: Sometimes talking is the best medicine. Scene II Outside Ned's Hospital room. Alexis: (shocked) Lois what are you doing here, I thought you went home? Lois: We were on our way back home and Brooke started throwing a fit.............she was scared that her daddy was going to die when she left. Alexis: I'm sorry. Where's Brooke now. Lois :(looking at Ned's door) She's inside with Jax. Alexis I have a big favor to ask you. Alexis: What? Lois: I have to get back home and take care of things..........would you be willing to take care of Brooke while I'm gone? I'll only be gone a couple of days. I wouldn't ask but.........Brooke doesn't want to leave Ned and I don't want her staying with the Q's. Alexis: It's fine Lois I'd love to take care of Brooke, besides I could use the experience. Lois: The experience? Alexis: Yes........Lois I'm pregnant. Ned and I are going to have a baby. Lois; (kinda sad, mostly because Ned is in a coma) I'm happy for ya. Well listen I've gotta go, I'll just say good bye to Brooke and then get her stuff. Scene III Lois said good-bye to Brooke and put her things in Alexis's car. Even though Brooke doesn't know Alexis all that well she was happy that she got to stay with her daddy. Alexis is sitting in the chair next to Ned' hospital bed holding Brooke on her lap. Alexis was reading her a story when they both feel a sleep. Ned began to slowly open his eyes. He couldn't focus well and closed his eyes and drifted back to sleep. About an hour later Brooke woke up and began to speak. Brooke: Alexis someone kicked me. Alexis: (waking up half a sleep) What sweetheart? Brooke: Someone kicked me. Alexis: Oh they did, did they? (Alexis laughed and ponder the best way to tell a five year old it was the baby in her stomach) Brooke do you know where babies live before they are born? Brooke: (shaking her head) Yep in their mommy's tummy. Alexis: That's right in their mommy's tummy............well see sweetie there's a baby in my tummy. Brooke: Really. Alexis: Yep......soon I'm going to have a baby boy or baby girl, I don't know which yet. And you know what else? (Brooke shook her head) This baby has the same daddy as you do, which means your going to have a little brother or sister. Would you like that? Brooke: (excited) My friend Jennie has a baby brother and she gets to tell him what to do. Alexis: (laughing) Sounds like my brother he's always telling me what to do, even now. What do you say we go downstairs and get something to eat? Brooke: (getting up and grabbing Alexis' hand) Okay! Can we get ice cream? (Alexis laughs) They head out the door and down to the cafeteria. Meanwhile Ned slowly begins to open his eyes and begins to somewhat focus before closing them again and drifting back to sleep. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 20 Alexis and Brooke are heading back to Ned's room after just having lunch when they bump into Helena. Helena: Well hello there Natasha. (looking at Brooke) Whose your little friend? Alexis: What do you want Helena? Helena: (bending down) Well aren't you a pretty thing what's your name? Alexis: (picking Brooke up and slightly raising her voice) What do you want? Brooke; My name is Brooke-Lynn Ashton. Helena: (smiling) Brooke-Lynn Ashton, well it's very nice to meet you. Alexis: If you'll excuse us we were just on our way to see her daddy. (Alexis walks off) Helena: (to herself) Such a pretty little thing it would be awful if anything happened to her! Scene II Alexis is sitting in the Chair by Ned's bed, she's trying to hold back her emotions after her run in with Helena. Brooke is sitting on Ned's bed telling him about the baby in Alexis' stomach, when Jax walks in. Brooke:(running over and jumping into his arms) Hi Uncle Jax. Jax; Well hello there princess, I thought you went home. Brooke: Alexis said I can stay with her while mommy went back home to work. Jax: (looking at Alexis and seeing the fear in her face) Well that is awful nice of Alexis isn't it.(putting her back on the bed) Alexis can I see you outside for a moment? (Alexis shakes her head and they head outside the room) Alexis: I ran into Helena just a few minutes ago. Jax; Are you okay? Alexis: I'll be okay Jax. (as she feel into his arms) I just want this whole nightmare to end. Jax: I know you do..........so do I. Are you taking caring of your self.........because you know if your not Ashton is going to blame me when he wakes up. Alexis: (letting go of him and laughing) Jax he's probably going to blame you anyway. Jax: You're probably right. Come on lets get back inside. Scene III Jax and Alexis walk back into Ned's room. Monica comes in shortly to check on Ned. Monica; So how's the patience doing today? Alexis: I don't know why don't you tell us. Monica: I don't believe it. Alexis:(with a scared look on her face) What!....... what is it Monica. Monica: (smiling) His vital signs are improving I think he's coming to. Alexis: (placing her hands on Neds face) Ned honey it's me Alexis can you here me? Ned come on now open those gorgeous eyes of yours. Ned! (looking at Monica) Why won't he wake up? Monica; He will Alexis, I promise. According to his vital signs he's no longer in a coma. Which is the best news. Why don't you just let him sleep he'll wake up on his own. Alexis kisses Ned on the forehead and tells him she loves him before picking up Brooke and sitting back down in the chair with her. Jax and Monica leave. Shortly after Brooke and Alexis fall asleep. Scene IV Ned slowly begins to open in his. He blinks them a few times before looking around the room. He smiles at the sight next to him. The woman he loves holding his little girl sound a sleep. Ned: I love you Alexis. Alexis: (slowly opening her eyes and seeing Ned staring back at her) Your a wake. (she gets up slowly so not to wake Brooke and runs over to him) your a wake! Ned:You said that already (taking his hands and placing them on her face) now give me a kiss! (they kiss) Alexis:(crying) I can't believe your a wake. I've waited so long to see those eyes of yours. Ned: How long have I been here? Alexis: About six weeks! Ned: Six weeks? Alexis:Yes you've been in a coma most of the time. Ned: a coma how? I mean I remember you yelling at me about waking up........ Alexis: (shocked) You heard me? What else did you hear? Ned: I don't know........... Jax was telling me something or other about you. I remember you telling me you loved me. (he's eyes widen) Something about.......... Alexis: About what? Ned (quietly) A baby! Alexis: (smiling) A baby...........Ned we're having a baby. (she places his hands on her stomach) I'm pregnant. Ned: When? Alexis: a little less then four months. Ned: Hey it kicked. (they smile) I can't believe I'm going to be a daddy again........... Alexis I love you.(they kiss) Have you been taken care of yourself? Alexis: (laughing) Ned Ashton you've been lying in this bed for over six weeks and your worried about me. Ned: I always worry about you, (stern) now have you been eating right and getting enough sleep? Alexis: Yes I have been! Ned: Seeing you lye in that chair somehow I doubt it. (smiling) I'm going to be a father. Alexis: That you are. Welcome back! (she lays her head on his chest and quietly thanks God) ~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 21 Ned' Hospital Room~ Alexis and Ned are talking when Monica walks in. Monica: (shocked) Your awake! Alexis: Yep isn't it great? Monica: It sure is, how are you feeling? Ned: Let's see I'm tired and I ache all over.........but on a good note I woke up to find out I'm going to be a daddy again. Monica: So I've heard congratulations. Now as for the pain I'll see what I can do. (she checks him over and then pulls the sheets off his legs) Now let me see you move your feet. Ned: (trying really hard) I can't.......they hurt so much.....(Alexis grabs his hand) Monica: (pulls the covers back down) It's probably just because you haven't been using them lately, but you can feel pain that's a good sign. Ned: Oh Monica they really do hurt and I've got this ache in the center of my back. Monica: Okay just take it easy and I'll have a nurse come in and give you some medication to help ease the pain. Alexis: (worried) Monica is he going to be okay? Monica: (laughing slightly) Yea he'll live.....(turning serious) You look great Ned for someone whose been out of it for so long.....as a far as your legs go well when your up to it we'll start working on some physical therapy. Before you know it you'll be up and running after that baby of yours. Ned; (looking at Alexis lovingly) I can't wait! Scene II Alexis is at home getting some rest after strict instructions from Ned, when she suddenly feels a chill and wakes up. Alexis is terrified when she see Helena standing over her bed. Helena: (cold) Well it's about time you woke up......(Alexis just stares at her) You know Alexis the first rule of being a good Mother is to always know where your children are. Alexis: (quietly) What the hell are you talking about? Helena: (walks over to the window and looks out) She really is a lovely child. Alexis fears are working over time as she gets up and runs to the window. She looks out and see Brooke playing ball in the yard with one of Helena's men. Alexis: (panicking) What do you want? Helena: (walking over towards the bed) Dear Natasha you really must calm down I have no intention of hurting your bastard child's sister. Why must you always think the worst of me? Alexis: (still watching Brooke and sobbing) Because you killed my Mother. Helena: Really must you be so dramatic?............. I only came here to congratulate you I heard Ashton is awake.(she picks up her cell phone and dials a number) Yes bring the child upstairs. Alexis: (turning towards Helena) I want you to leave! Two of Helena's men and Brooke walk into the room. Helena: Well hello Brooke did you have fun playing ball? (Alexis is to scared to move and just stares at them) Brooke: Yep.(she see's Alexis and runs over to her) Do you like my new ball Aunt Helena bought me? Alexis is shocked at what Brooke calls her and Helena couldn't be happier. Helena: (to Brooke) Well darling I must be going but maybe next time I visit I'll be able to play ball with you. Alexis: (picking up Brooke) Sorry Helena but there won't be a next time. Helena: Gentlemen. Helena and her goons leave while Alexis just holds Brooke tight. After a few minutes Alexis places Brooke on her bed. Alexis: Listen to me sweetheart okay. (Brooke nods her head) If you see that woman again I don't want you to talk to her. Brooke: But I like Aunt Helena. Alexis: Brooke.......(choking on her words) Aunt Helena isn't a very nice person and the next time you see her I want you to scream okay. Brooke: Okay. Alexis: Now why don't you run off and wash your face so we can go see daddy. Brooke: Is daddy awake yet. Alexis: (pulling her off the bed and onto her feet) He sure is and he can't wait to see you. Brooke; Can I show him my new ball? Alexis: (quickly answering) No! (she takes the ball from her) not today maybe another day okay? Brooke; Okay Alexis: You know what Brooke how about we don't even tell Daddy about our visitors today. Brooke: Ok I'm going to get ready. (she runs out of the room and down the hall) Alexis: (sitting down on the bed placing her head back and sighing) That's the last thing Ned needs to know! Scene III Ned's hospital room~~ Brooke: (running in and jumping up on Ned) Daddy daddy your awake! Ned: yes I am and how is my favorite girl today? Brooke; Good. Alexis: (standing at the end of the bed) and how are you feeling? Ned: I feel fine but I thought I told you to go home and get some rest. Alexis: (walking over and kissing him lightly) I did and now I'm back. Ned: (with a stern voice) Well you shouldn't be you should be at home and in bed. (looking at Brooke) So where's your mommy? Brooke; At home. (Ned looks at Alexis) Alexis: Lois had to take care of some business so Brooke is staying with me for a few days. Ned:(shocked but pleased) Really well that's great. So Brooke what did you do today? Brooke: I played with my new ball. Ned: You got a new ball, did Alexis buy it for you? Alexis: (before Brooke could answer) She played with it in the backyard, I think she likes our new house. Brooke; (excited) I like my new room that Alexis gave me. Daddy when are you coming home? Ned: soon I hope. Alexis: Wouldn't that be nice? Ned grabbed Alexis' hand and smiled, while Brooke laid down on her daddy and hugged him. (What a cute little family) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 22 Ned and Alexis' house. Alexis is in deep thought~~~ About a week has passed now and Ned is still in the hospital, his legs ache so bad that he is unable to walk. she has been feeling more and more guilty with every passing day. What I'm I going to do the longer I keep things from him the harder it is going to be for him to forgive me. But how......how do I tell him that it's my fault that he's lost almost two months of his life. He's so happy about becoming a Father and deep down I know that's the only reason he's trying so hard to get back on his feet. He promised me he'd be right by my side when the baby was born............Oh god Brooke-Lynn how is Ned going to react when he finds out Helena has been in contact with his daughter..........He's going to hate me it's all my fault.........why didn't I keep a closer watch on her.(there's a knock on the door but Alexis doesn't hear it, she's to busy yelling at her self out loud) He's never going to understand..........heck I didn't even understand. (she picks up her water glass and throws it against the wall) Damn you Helena. Just then Jax comes flying through out the door. Jax:(Yelling) Get away from her Helena! Alexis: Helena's not here.........by the way come on in, and thanks for breaking in my door. Jax: (confused) But I heard you fighting with her. Alexis: If you must know I was yelling at myself............do you think maybe next time you could just knock. Jax; I did knock several times but you didn't answer. Alexis: So you beat down my door? Jax: I told you I thought you were fighting with Helena. Alexis: Helena.........The only person who can wreck so much havoc on so many innocent peoples lives. Jax; What has Helena done as of late? Alexis: Well let's see.........how does having her henchman play ball in the yard with Brooke-Lynn while she stands over me and watch me sleep sound? Jax: She did what.........when? Alexis; Brooke's first night here with me.........she even got her to call her aunt Helena.....can you believe it? Jax: Why on earth didn't you tell me she was here.....that's it Alexis your coming home with me. Alexis: see that's why I didn't tell you. Jax: Alexis the woman is dangerous.(Alexis just gives him I'm not going anywhere look) Fine then I'll move in here with you. Alexis: (yelling) No you won't!......I can take care of myself I don't need a babysitter. Jax: On the contra you do. (Alexis gives him the evil eye) Don't look at me that way, or I'll tell Ned that Helena has been threatening your life. Alexis: (yelling)she didn't and you wouldn't! Jax: try me! Scene II Ned's Hospital room~ Alexis:(walking in) Hey there how are you feeling today. Ned: I was feeling fine till you showed up with him. Jax: (who walked in behind Alexis) Well it's nice to see you too. Alexis: So any idea when your going to be sprung from this place? Ned: Soon I hope. Jax: Me too because I don't know how long I'm going to be able to live with a very neurotic pregnant woman. Ned: (shocked) Living with? Jax:(laughing and placing his arm around Alexis) yes I'm moving into your new house. (Alexis pushes his arm away) Ned: (yelling) The hell you are.......is this some kind of joke? Alexis: Sweetie calm down the only reason I'm even allowing Jax to move in with me is because he doesn't think it's a good idea for a pregnant woman to be living out in no-mans land by herself. I tried to convince him that I was more then capable of taking care of myself but he refused to give in. Ned: (sulking) Well I guess it's a good idea.........but Jax I better not find out you've so much as looked at Alexis in any inappropriate way I'll kill you! Alexis: Oh don't worry Ned Jax can look at me all he wants but I'll still only have eyes for you. (she lends down and kisses him) Jax: I think I'm going to be sick. (Alexis turns and laughs at him while Ned gives him an evil look) Scene III A few hours later~~~ Ned and Alexis are lying in his hospital bed, holding on to one another. Ned: Have I told you lately how much I love you. Alexis: I do believe you've told me that at least five times in the last half hour. Ned: well that nearly isn't enough (he begins kissing her neck) I love you....I love you......I love you....(he repeats constantly in between kisses) Monica: (walking in) Excuse me but I wasn't aware I'd be interrupting something.......now I could come back later if You'd like but...... Ned: (still kissing Alexis' neck) good idea Monica come back later. Alexis: Ned!........but what Monica. Monica: but then that would be all the longer you'd be stuck in this place. (she holds up papers) Alexis; (excited) Are those Ned's release papers? Monica: Yep and as soon as he signs them he's free to go. Alexis: What about physical therapy? Monica; what Ned didn't tell you? Alexis: (looking at Ned) tell me what? Ned: that I've order some equipment which should be delivered to the house any day now so that I could recuperate at home. Alexis; why didn't you say anything when I told you Jax was moving in. Ned: Because I wanted to see him go through all the trouble of moving in just so I'd have the pleasure of kicking him out. Alexis: Ned Ashton that is so cruel. Ned: (pinching her butt) I know! |
