They had passed the day with small talk each avoiding bringing up the issue
of their previous relationship and all its problems, Several hours had
passed , Ned had turned the radio on to a soft rock station and the two of
them had sat just holding each other.

Are you getting hungry? Ned asked as he ran his fingers up and down her
arm.

Yeah, actually I am a little hungry, you think we should order room service
or do you want to go out? she asked them and snuggled closer to him.

I think we should order room service because going out would mean you would
have to get dressed and I want to keep you naked all day. He whispered into
her ear.

You know as much as I would love to stay naked, I will eventually have to
get dressed at some point, She laughed as she slapped Ned�s hand which had
slipped inside of her shirt as he was gently caressing her breast
Hey, I told you we would do that later, much later, you wore me out earlier.
She told him as she removed his hand from her shirt.

OK OK you win, so what do you want to do in the mean time. he asked her as
he wrapped his arms back around her.

I think we really need to talk. She told him as she turned to face him, a
serious look on her face.

I think we should too, but first lets order some food, then we can talk that
way we wont have any interruption. He told her as he handed her the menu,
Why don't you order and I'll build us a fire.

Anything special you want? She asked as she opened the menu and walked over
to the phone.

What I want isn't on the menu, its holding it. He answered a devilish smile
on his face.

Ned be serious.

Anything will be fine. He told her as he made his way to the fire place and
began to start the fire.

It will be here in about 45 minute, Alexis told him as she hung up the
phone and went to stand by the fireplace.

Ned stood and gazed at her, she was wearing his shirt still and nothing else
the top buttons were undone and he could see the swell of her breast, the
hem of the shirt fell midway down her thigh and her legs went on forever, as
she bent forward to hold her hands toward the heat of the fire her shirt
fell open and he could see her full breast, he had to turn away before he
grabbed her and took her right there on the floor. It amazed him that she had
no idea of how beautiful she was.

So what did you order? He asked her trying to get his mind off of her body.

That's a surprise, She said as she straightened and walked over to the
couch and sat down.

Do you want to talk now or wait until we eat? Ned asked her as he walked
over and sat down beside her, relived that he could no longer see her body.

Let's eat first, what I want right now is for you to hold me, Can you do
that? She asked as she leaned back against him and felt his arms go around
her.

That I can do. He told her as he pulled her close.

They stayed this way until the food arrived, neither spoke there was no need
to, they just held each other

So what did you order? Ned asked taking the lids off as soon as the waiter
left the room, He was surprised when he found Hamburgers, French Fries, and
Chocolate Milk Shakes, he had to smile at her choice.

I figured since we were revisiting our teen years fantasy then we needed the
proper food. She laughed as she picked up a French Fry and feed it to him.
Then sat down to eat.

I like how you think counselor, Ned laughed as he sat down beside her.

They ate their meal, feeding each other fries, and laughing, after they were
done Ned wheeled the table outside the door, the maid had come by earlier
and made up the bed and cleaned the bathroom.

Are you ready to talk? Alexis asked as she drew her legs up beneath her and
bite her lower lip.

Yeah I guess we should, He told her as he walked over and sat down beside
placing his hand on her leg and rubbing it gently.

I love you, you know that, I have always loved you I never stopped, She
told him not removing his hand from her leg, she needed the comfort of his
touch.

And I love you, I've never stopped either. He replied.

Ned, It's hard to explain why I ran out of our wedding, like I told you it
wasn't you, it was never you it was me, I was fine all day and then that
isle did it to me, I knew I would have trouble with the isle.

Alexis, Baby don't do this, Ned whispered as he reached up and touched her
cheek.

No, Ned I need to say this and you need to hear it, I've had a lot of time
to think about this, and I just cant say it was one thing or the other it
was a combination of things,

Alexis it doesn�t matter.

Yes Yes It does I need you to know it was me, I was trying so hard to be
who I thought you wanted me to be that I lost track of who I was, I lost me.
She told him as her eyes filled with tears.

Alexis I never meant for you to change. He told her as he brushed the tears
off her cheeks.

I know that now, but at the time I thought you wanted me to change to suit
your new life style, to be your Angel, give up my life, and to be honest
there were things you wanted me to give up but I don't want to get into that
right now. She told him as she reached out and took his hand into hers.

I know and I'm sorry about that I didn't trust your judgment where Sonny was
concerned and I should of, you never did anything to make me distrust you, I
guess part of it was jealousy and fear.

Ned, my life was never in danger from Sonny, The only threat to my life came
from Helena. Sonny was and still is a client even though at the present I'm
not very happy with him and he's my friend and I'm still not willing to give
up that friendship, so if it's going to be a problem then we need to talk
about it.

It's not going to be a problem as long as you keep the client part to
business hours and the friendship anytime you want, But please no more
midnight rescues and interrupted moments, I don't want to be making love to
you and have Sonny call with a crisis that he wants you to handle, when it
can wait until morning. He told her as he gazed into her eyes

I'm sorry, I didn't think about what that was doing to you, or to us for
that matter, I can promise you when we are in bed together I will turn off
my phone and be with you and I will inform Sonny that my evenings belong to
you.

I'd really like that, and I promise that I will not try to change you, but I
wont stop worrying about you and the danger that Sonny's world puts you in.

They both sat looking at each other waiting for the other to speak.

Ned, I want us to be honest with each other, and if a problem arises we need
to address it right away, I don't want us to keep secrets from each other,
and if either one of us does something the other doesn't like we will tell
the other and work through it, what ever it takes.

I can live with that, I want this to work this time Alexis and I will do
what ever it takes, I love you and this last year without you has been the
worst in my life.

I love you too, and I've missed you more then you'll ever know, But Ned I
don�t want the type of relationship we had before, we hurt each other a
lot and I don�t think I can take that much heartbreak again.

I know I hurt you Alexis and you will never know how sorry I'm for doing
that, I made assumptions and listened to other people who gave me bad
advice, before I listened to you, I will promise to try not to do that
again, and if I do I want you to remind me of this talk and put me back on
track. He told her as he pulled her to him and wrapped his arms around her.

Ned I just want you to promise to love and trust me, and I'll do the same
for you, she said as she wrapped her arms around his neck and laid her head
on his shoulder.

I can do that. He told her as he kissed to top of her head.

They talked into the late hours about all the thing that were going on in
there lives since they were apart, how happy Alexis was to find Kristina,
and the sorrow of losing Chloe, and how happy she was for Stephan that he
was fulfilling a dream and he told her his adventures with L&B and his worry
for his Grandfather Edward.

Alexis fell asleep in Ned�s arms, So Ned gently picked her up and carried her
to the bed he slipped the shirt from her body and placed her under the
covers. He then slipped off his sweat pants and slid in beside her taking
her into his arms, feeling her snuggle against him, they were soon both
asleep, they both had the first restful sleep since the last time they were
together.
