CHAPTER 37 ~ Mercy Hospital ~ Nikolas and Elizabeth were rounding the corner of the halls when they literally bumped into Stefan Cassidine. �Uncle what are you doing here?� Stefan looked over at Elizabeth. �I need to speak to my nephew alone.� �You can�t just dismiss her.� Nikolas scolded �She doesn�t work for you.� �Nikolas it�s fine.� Elizabeth stated �I�ll go check on Emily.� Elizabeth started to walk away and Nikolas grabbed her arm. �Just don�t tell Emily Stefan is here ok?� �Don�t worry I wouldn�t dare upset her like that.� She replied before walking off. �You have no right being here and we have nothing to talk about.� �Nikolas you have to listen to me.� �Why!� Nikolas yelled �Why should I listen to anything you have to say?� �Because like it or not we�re family and we�re all we have.� �Emily and my son are my family and them along with Alexis and Ned are all I need!� �Alexis is nothing more then a trader.� �I never understood why you were so jealous of her.� �Jealous of her?� Stefan laughed �Every chance you got you belittled her and I always thought it was because she was weaker then you and she allowed it to happen. But I was wrong it was because she was her own person deep down inside and you couldn�t handle the fact that she could make it outside this pathetic family in which we lived!� �You wouldn�t be saying these things if you knew what she was up to.� �If now after everything, you�re only happy when you�re putting her down.� �Nikolas listen to me.� Stefan yelled. �You�re precious aunt who you hold so highly has been working with Ashton to take over Cassidine Enterprises.� �What?� Nikolas asked �That�s right and I won�t let either one of them get away with it. I plan on fixing everything trust me.� Nikolas gave him a strange look. �Soon things will be back to the way they were Nikolas. You and I will once again be calling the shots and controlling the family.� �Alexis had nothing to do with the recent hurting Cassidine Industries took!� Stefan placed his hand lightly on Nikolas cheek. �You are still so naive my dear boy.� Nikolas pushed his hand away. �Alexis loves me and she would never do anything to hurt me and that�s all I need to know.� Nikolas walked past Stefan and with there backs facing one another Stefan simply stated. �Did you attend your aunts wedding?� Nikolas was taken back a bit but opted to ignore his last question. �Stay away from my wife and my son.� he stated instead before making his way down the hall towards Emily�s room. Stefan just stood there and watched silently as Nikolas disappeared out of site. He pulled out his cell phone and dialed a number. �What happened after I left?� �Mrs. Ashton is still in side.� The man on the other end replied. Stefan looked at his watch and noticed it�s been at least two hours since Ned was arrested. �She didn�t leave the building at all?� �No sir.� �You sure she didn�t slip out the back?� �No sir I�m sure she�s still inside.� �For your sake she better be!� ~*~ �Can�t you drive any faster?� Ned hollered at the officer. �Sorry sir but without clear knowledge that your wife is in any danger I can�t............� �The only person here who is going to be in clear danger is you.� Ned said cutting him off. �Are you threatening me?� The officer asked �Damn straight I am. If you don�t turn that siren on and haul ass to L&B I am going to sue you for false arrest, endangering the life of my wife and unborn children and anything else I can think of!� �I should haul you back down town for threatening an officer.� �Listen here you imbecile my family owns this town.� He reaches across the officer and turns the siren on himself. �Now if you don�t want me to step on your foot I suggest you hit the gas pedal harder.� �You�re going to pay for this Mr. Ashton� The officer replied as he stepped on the gas. �If I were you I�d just pray my wife and children are ok.� ~*~ ~Helena�s Yacht ~ �Andreas! Andreas!� Helena yelled from her state room. �Yes madam what can I do for you?� �My ungrateful grandson has forbidden me to see my great grandson and something must be done about it.� �Do you have anything in mind?� Helena laughed her oh so evil laugh. �I�ve just been informed that they will be returning to Port Charles later on this evening.� �Do you want me to stop them from returning Madam?� �No I think I�ll let them come home.� She walked around the room. �Perhaps even get settled in a while.� �And then Madam?� �And then.� She walked over and rubbed the side of his face. �I want the child brought to me.� �Yes madam as you wish.� She creased her lips against his. �Draw me a bath Andreas.� �Right away madam.� He replied as he turned to leave. �I expect you to join me as well.� �Is there anything else you�d like?� �No that will be all, run along.� �Yes madam.� ~*~ ~ Emily�s room ~ �I don�t care what anybody says you look just like your daddy.� Emily lovingly spoken to her new born son. �I still can�t believe how little you are.� She began playing with his fingers as he began to fuss. �Oh don�t cry my little sweet pea, mama�s here and I don�t ever plan on leaving you.� �Maybe he�s crying because he doesn�t have a name.� Edward said as he walked into the room. �Grandfather what are you doing here? Mom said you weren�t coming.� He walked over and kissed the top of her head. �And miss the sight of my only granddaughter holding her son.� �You told me you wanted nothing to do with my son.� A shocked Emily spoke. He sat on the edge of her bed. �Granted I don�t approve of your marriage or of you having a baby so young but I love you my dear.� He took her unoccupied hand in his own. �And there isn�t a thing I wouldn�t do for you.� �Oh Grandfather I love you so much.� �And I love you my dear.� He kissed the back of her hand. �Now my I hold my great grandson?� �Oh course you can.� Carefully she placed the baby in his arms. Edward stood up and started cradling the baby in his arms. Out of no where the baby began crying. �I don�t think he likes that grandfather.� Edward just rocked the baby back and forth. �Grandfather did you hear me.� She yelled. �He doesn�t like that.� �Don�t cry my child son you will be where you belong. Where nobody can hurt you or make you cry.� Edward mumbled under his breath. �Grandfather give me my baby!� Emily yelled as she pulled back the covers. �It�s time to go now.� He opened the door and walked out.� �NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Please Grandfather don�t take him, bring him back� She screamed as she fall out of bed.� |
