CHAPTER 26 Ned is sitting on the couch in the living room holding Alexis. She has her back against him and they are drinking white wine. Ned places his one hand on her stomach. �I still can�t believe there�s a baby growing inside you.� He kissed the top of her head. Alexis places her hand on top of his. �I�m so scared and yet so happy all at the same time.� �You�re going to make a wonderful mother.� Alexis turned slightly and looked up at him. �How do you think Brooke� going to take the news?� He kisses her. �She�ll love the idea of being a big sister don�t you worry.� �You aren�t afraid she�ll resent you for having another child.� �I have no intention of allowing that to happen.� Alexis turned back and lends against him once again. �How do you think the rest of the family is going to take the news?� Ned thought for a second and was about to put Alexis� mind at ease when a servant walked in. �Excuse Miss Davis but Dr. Monica Quatermaine is here to see you.� �What Monica�s here?� Alexis asked �I called her.� Ned replied. �You did what? Why?� �I think Emily needs her right now.� �Does Emily know you called her?� �No. I figured it would be better this way.� Alexis smiled at Ned and then looked over at the servant. �Marie please show Dr. Quatermaine in.� �Yes ma�am.� �I hope Monica being here doesn�t upset Emily.� Alexis stated �As long as she did as I asked and came alone it won�t.� Ned replied �Ned thank god you called me where�s Emily.� Monica yelled as she walked into the room. �She�s upstairs Monica and she�ll be fine.� �I really wish she would have called me herself.� Ned got off the couch and gave Monica a hug. �Why don�t I take you up so you can see her?� ~*~ ~ Emily�s room ~ �So what do I have to do to convince you that I�m well enough to go take a walk?� Nikolas who is lying in bed with her takes her hand in his. �Nothing.� He simply stated before kissing the back of her hand. �I hate being in this bed.� Emily pouted �You can get up when and only when the doctor says it�s safe.� Emily looks at him seductively. �And just what else can�t I do unless the doctor says so.� �I�m not sure how safe that is either.� Emily pulls him towards her. �Sorry but no doctor is going to tell me I can�t make love to my husband.� �My husband that sounds so...........wonderful.� �I love the fact that you�re my husband and I�d love it more if you made love to me.� Emily replied as she ran her hand up and down his chest. Nikolas placed his hand under her chin and lifted her lips to his. He breathed heavily before crashing his lips upon hers. His hand then found it�s way to her back and up her shirt to unclasp her bra while she jerked his belt buckle loose. �Emily I missed you so much why didn�t you call me and tell me...........� Monica trailed off as she walked into the room. Nikolas quickly pushed Emily back and jumped out of bed. �Haven�t you done enough to my daughter!� Monica yelled �Mom it�s not like that, Nikolas is my husband.� Monica was in complete shock. �You�re what?� She asked before turning around and slapping Ned across the face. �How could you let this happen? �Mom it wasn�t Ned�s fault!� �Dr. Quatermaine Emily told you that we planned on getting married.� Nikolas replied as he buckled his pants. �Both of you out I want to speak to my daughter alone.� Monica yelled �I�m not leaving Emily she doesn�t need you upsetting her.� Nikolas replied Emily took Nikolas� hand. �I�ll be fine I�d like to talk to her alone anyway.� Nikolas looked down at Emily. �Are you sure?� Emily shook her head and Nikolas bent down to kiss her before leaving with Ned. �Mom please don�t be mad.� Monica walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. �I�m not as mad as I am upset.� �I don�t understand.� �My only daughter got married and I didn�t get to see it.� You can see the tears swell up in Emily�s eyes. �I was scared you�d try and stop us. I know you don�t like the idea of Nikolas and I being together.� �Emily sweetheart.� Monica replied as she held her daughter�s face. �It�s not that I don�t like Nikolas it�s just I think you�re way to young for marrying let alone a having a baby.� �I think it�s a little too late to stop either of those.� �It maybe but it�s never to late for me to tell you that I�ll love you no matter what you do.� �You still love me?� A shocked Emily asked. �Of course I love you and that�s something that will never change.� Monica stated before wrapping her arms tightly around her. �I love you too mom.� Emily replied as the tears ran down her face. ~*~ Ned and Nikolas came walking downstairs to find Alexis wrapped in a warm blanket eating ice cream and potato chips. �That is so disgusting.� Ned stated as he sat down next to her.� Alexis took a spoon full of ice cream and placed a chip on top of it and then went to stick it in Ned�s face. �Want a bite?� She asked as she noticed the side of his face was bright red. �What happened?� �I�ll go get you some ice.� Nikolas stated �Thanks Nikolas.� Alexis put her ice cream and chips on the table in front of her and began rubbing his cheek. �Did Monica do this to you?� Ned looked at her. �She wasn�t too happy that I didn�t inform her Nikolas and Emily had gotten married.� �You didn�t tell her when you called her?� Ned shook his head no. �Don�t you think you should have mentioned it to her before you took her upstairs?� �Well how was I to know that Emily and Nikolas would be in the middle of..........� Alexis laughed. �They weren�t!� �They were.� Nikolas walked back into the room to find Ned and Alexis laughing. �So what�s so funny?� Nikolas asked as he handed Alexis an icepack. �Did I miss something?� Alexis placed the icepack on Ned�s cheek. �No you didn�t miss a thing.� Ned replied Nikolas gave them a strange look before sitting across form them. �I wonder how things are going with Emily and her Mother?� �Don�t worry Nikolas they�ll work things out.� �Excuse me Miss. Davis but you have an important overseas phone call.� Marie stated as she entered the room. �Oh thank you, I�ll take it in here.� Alexis replied as she got off the couch still covered in her blanket and made her way over to the phone. �Alexis Davis.� �I need you.� Stefan demanded �For what?� �Cassidine business what else?� He yelled Nikolas got off the couch and walked towards the kitchen. �If you�re not going to tell me what it is you want my help with I won�t help!� Alexis stated firmly. �I need you to find out who�s behind the sabotage of a company I just purchased .� �Why me?� �Because you�re the only one I can trust with this matter.� �Since when?� Alexis laughed �I need you to come home right away.� He demanded even louder �I�ll be home in a few days.� �I need you now!� Stefan yelled �I�m sorry Stefan but I�m not coming home right now besides it�s not like I can do much to help you save the company anyway.� Ned�s ears perked up at the mention of Stefan� name. �See to it that you come see me as soon as you�re plane hits ground in Port Charles.� �Yes sir.� Alexis replied as she hung up the phone. �What was that all about?� Ned asked Alexis made her way back over to the couch and laid in Ned�s arms. �Just Stefan being Stefan.� She replied �Now hold me I�m cold.� Ned rubbed his hands up and down her arms to try and warm her. �What�d he want?� �Oh I don�t know something about someone over taking a company and he only trust me with the information.� �Does he know who attacked the company?� �I don�t know and I don�t care.� Alexis replied �All I know is I�m freezing and you�re not doing much to help warm me up.� She pouted Ned got off the couch and picked her up. Alexis screamed �where are you taking me?� She asked as he made his way over to the stairs. �To go warm you up.� He seductively replied |
