CHAPTER 25 Alexis and Nikolas are sitting down by the water looking out. �You said you wanted to see me and you really haven�t said much.� Nikolas stated Alexis looked up at the sky. �I�m sorry Nikolas I guess I�m a just little distracted.� �What�s got your mind so lost in the clouds.� Alexis took a deep breath and then looked over at him. �I found out that the doctors were wrong. Ned and I are going to have a baby.� Nikolas smiled brightly and gave her a huge hug. �Alexis I�m so happy for you and Ned. I know how upset you were when you found out you weren�t pregnant.� �Nikolas the truth is I�m scared.� �Scared about what?� �For my life......for my baby�s life and for Ned�s as well.� �I don�t understand.� �Nikolas Helena isn�t going to be to happy to find out I�m carrying Mikkos� grandchild.� �The Hell with Helena Alexis I won�t let her hurt you or your baby.� �You have big problems then my safety to worry about Nikolas.� �You�re my Aunt and no matter what you�re safety will always be a priority of mine.� �I need you to take care of Emily and you�re child, Ned and I will take care of ours.� �I am taking care of Emily.......the best way I know how.� �Nikolas.� She took both his hands �Emily didn�t know how to tell you this so I�m going to.� �Tell me what Alexis?� A panicked Nikolas asked. �Calm down and just listen to me okay.� �Okay� �Helena� men threatened Emily and told her they�d kill both her and the baby if she didn�t leave you after it�s birth.� �Helena would never kill my baby. He�s the heir to the Cassidine fortune.� �I know that and you know that.......now all you have to do is convince Emily of that.� Nikolas stood up and began yelling. �Helena is the reason we almost lost our child and she�ll pay for it.� Alexis stood as well. �Nikolas please don�t do anything you�re going to regret. Take care of Emily and the baby. I�ll talk to Stefan and make sure he deals with Helena.� �Stefan doesn�t care about my child or my wife.� Nikolas yelled. �Maybe not but he does love you and he�ll do anything to protect you from getting hurt.� �Did Emily say the men said they work for Helena?� Nikolas asked �No.......not exactly she just said two men threatened to kill her and the baby if she didn�t leave you.� �Then how do we know it wasn�t Stefan who sent those men after Emily?� �Stefan would never do a thing like that!� Alexis yelled �Are you 100 percent sure of that Alexis?� Nikolas asked firmly before walking off. Alexis sat back down and pulled her knees up to her chest. She looked up at the sky as tears flowed down her cheeks. �Please mom tell me Stefan wouldn�t do something like that?� ~*~ Meanwhile Ned is in his room making several phone calls. �Brad, Ashton did you get the information I needed.� �Most of it but there are a couple of Helena Cassidine accounts I can�t seem to get a hold of.� �Well keep working on it because the easiest way for me to get rid of that woman once and for all is if she�s powerless.� �No problem I�ll get back to ya as soon as I get a hold of them.� �Brad wait before you hang up I want you to go ahead and hit the one company we talked about.� �Are you sure?� Brad asked� That company belongs to Stefan Cassidine not Helena.� Ned looked out the window and saw Alexis. �I know just do it.� He replied before hanging up. Ned stared out the window at Alexis for a few minutes before picking up the phone and dialing another number. �Quatermaine�.� Reginald answered �Reginald I need to speak with Monica.� �Right away Mr. Ashton.� ~ Q Living room ~ �I still say we call the police and report that Emily has been kidnapped by that Cassidine boy.� Edward yelled. �I�m beginning to think you�re right.� Alan added. �We won�t be calling the police.� Monica yelled. �Emily would never forgive us.� �She�s been gone over a week Monica.� Alan yelled. �Lord only knows where he�s taken her.� �She�ll come home when she�s ready to come home.� Monica yelled as she walked out of the room almost knocking over Reginald. �I�m sorry.� �Ned is on the phone he says he needs to speak with you.� �Thanks.� She replied before running over and picking up the phone �Ned what�s wrong?� �I sent the ELQ jet back to Port Charles and it�s waiting for you. Just please don�t make me regret this and come alone.� �Where is she?� �Greece.� �Is she alright?� �She�ll be fine but the baby isn�t doing as well as we�d like.� �Oh no.� �I think she�d really like it if you were here.� �I�m on my way.� ~*~ Nikolas slowly walked into the bedroom and quietly made his way over to a sleeping Emily. He brushed a few stray strands of hair out of her eyes and lightly kissed her forehead. �I love you Emily Cassidine and I�m not going to let anyone especially my family hurt you or our child.� Emily opened her eyes briefly and smiled. �I didn�t hear you come in.� �I didn�t mean to wake you.� Emily pushed herself into a sitting position. �I feel like I�ve done nothing but sleep.� �The doctor said you needed to stay in bed.� �Nikolas I�m feeling better could we please just go outside and sit for a while. I promise I�ll take it easy.� Nikolas kissed her lips. �I love you and I don�t want to take any chances.� �You talked to Alexis didn�t you?� �How can you tell?� �I can see it in you�re eyes.� �Why didn�t you tell me what really happened?� He asked as he sat down next to her. She started to cry. �I�m sorry I know I should have.� Nikolas held her in his arms. �It�s okay nothing is going to happen to you or our baby.� �Please let Alexis deal with Helena.� �Alexis can�t handle Helena on her own.� �I don�t want anything to happen to you.� �Helena wouldn�t dare hurt me. You need to remember that.� ~*~ �Have I told you how much I love you yet today?� Ned asked as he came up behind Alexis and began rubbing her shoulders. �Yea I think you told me this morning before we got out of bed.� She grabbed his hand and kissed it. �Come to think of it you even showed me.� Ned sat next to her and continued rubbing her neck with his one hand. �So how about you telling me something then?� �What�s that?� �Why you�re sitting out here crying!� �It�s something that Nikolas said and I don�t want it to be true.� Ned kissed her check. �What could Nikolas have said that would have upset you so?� �He stated that he thought Stefan not Helena was behind what happen to Emily.� Ned was truly shocked. �Nikolas thinks that.� �Yes but he can�t be right.� �Alexis, Stefan isn�t one of my favorite people so I�m anything but biases.� He pulled her close. �Do you think it�s possible at all?� �Yes!� Ned closed his eyes and held Alexis tight as she cried in his arms. |
