CHAPTER 21 ~ L&B Studio ~ �Damn it,� Ned yelled as he threw a file across the room. �I hope that wasn�t meant for me?� Monica joked as she entered the room. Ned laughed slightly. �I�m sorry I didn�t see you come in.� �Want to talk about it?� �Not really.� Ned replied as he sat down behind his desk. Monica walked over towards him and had a seat as well. �Okay then how about if we discuss why I�m here.� Ned smiled at her. �I was wondering if you knew where my daughter was?� Ned ran his fingers through his hair. �Monica she�s fine, trust me.� �Ned I haven�t heard from her in days, and I�m worried.� �Monica all I can tell you is that she�s with Nikolas.� Monica got up and began pacing the floor. �I don�t know if that makes me feel better or worse.� She paused for a moment. �Ned she�s too young to be having a baby.� Ned got up and walked over to her. �Monica your little girl isn�t such a little girl anymore and you�ve got to start letting go.� �Could you?� Monica plainly asked. �Could you let go if Brooke-Lynn at the mere age of seventeen told you she was getting married and having a baby?� Ned walked away from her and sat on the edge of his desk. �Let�s just hope that never happens.� �Are you starting to see what I�m feeling?� �Monica I wasn�t thrilled when Nikolas told me him and Em were having a child.......part of me wanted to kill him right there and then.� �What stopped you?� Monica asked sharply. Ned shook his head and took her hands in his. �Monica the best thing you can do right now for Emily is except the fact that she wants to be with Nikolas and that they are going to have a baby.� �Ned the last thing I want is to put a strain on my relationship with yet another one of my children.� �Well you�re the only one who can stop that from happening.� The phone rings. �Emily loves you and needs so desperately for you to love her no matter what.� �I do love her no matter what.� Monica replied as Ned answered the phone. �L&B Entrainment Ned Ashton speaking.� �Hey honey it�s me.� �Don�t you dare tell me something came up and you have to cancel our lunch date!� Alexis didn�t want to worry Ned so she opted not to tell him where she was. �I don�t suppose I could make it up to you by meeting you at the Grill for an early dinner?� �And if I say yes, what�s the chance that you�re going to bail on me then as well?� �Why don�t you meet me at my suite around five and find out.� �I love you miss Davis.� �I love you too.� She shot back as Stefan rolled his eyes at her. �I have to go, but I promise I�ll be there.� �Well since I don�t have much of a choice in the matter............I�ll see you at five.� �Nothing worse then a broken lunch date.� Monica replied as Ned hung up the phone. �Now if that was the only thing that was broken.� �I know you said you didn�t want to talk about what was bothering you earlier, but it might help.� �Have you ever not wanted something only to find out that you might end up getting it anyway and realizing that you do indeed want it only to have it taken away before you actually get it.� �What?� Monica yelled completely confused. Ned laughed slightly. �Alexis thought she was pregnant, but it turns out she wasn�t.� �And you realized that you actually do want to be a father.� �Yes!� �How does Alexis feel about becoming a mother?� Ned threw his hands up in the air. �I don�t know.........I mean when she told me she thought she was pregnant she liked the idea.......when she told me she found out she wasn�t pregnant she was clearly hurt.......thing is we have never really talked about having children until she thought she was pregnant so I honestly don�t know what she wants.� �Maybe it�s time for the two of you to sit down and actually talk about it.� �In a way I guess we have.� Monica gave him a strange look. �We�ve decided to try and have a child.� �Then I don�t understand what the problem is.� �The problem is I�m not 100 percent sure that�s what she really wants.� �And what about you?� �Me?� �Yea you.� Monica shot back. �Do you want to have another child?� �I would love to have a child with Alexis, I honestly think we�d make pretty good parents.� �Ned why don�t you sit down and talk about this with Alexis?� � I know you�re right. The only way I am going to truly know how Alexis feels about the two of us having a child is if we talk about it, in detail.� �Why don�t you let me buy you lunch?� Monica asked. �Well I guess there�s no sense in me canceling my reservation at the Grill.� He shot back as they left the building. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Dr. Newman�s office ~ �Stefan you really don�t have to wait here with me I�ll be fine.� Stefan gave her a dirty look. �We still have the matter of Nikolas to discuss.� Alexis rolled her eyes. �Nikolas loves Emily and I see nothing wrong with that.� �Nothing wrong with that.� Stefan yelled. �Have you lost all sense of Cassidine honor.� �How is my excepting the fact that Nikolas married Emily dishonoring the family?� �She is a Quatermaine!� He simply yelled. �That family is full of nothing but blackmailing, drug addicting, backstabbing...........� �Oh and us Cassidine� are so pure and law-abiding.� Alexis yelled cutting him off. Stefan shot her another evil look as Dr. Newman walked in. �Well I got your test results back from the lab.� Alexis became a little edgy all of a sudden. �Is there something you missed last week?� �Actually yes there is.� Dr. Newman stated as Alexis closed her eyes and feared the worst. �Apparently there was a clerical mistake in your blood work last week and your first conclusion was right.� Alexis opened her eyes. �My first conclusion?� �Congratulations Alexis you are pregnant.� �She�s what?� Stefan yelled. Alexis jumped off the table. �Are you sure?� �I made sure they ran the test three times.� Dr. Newman replied. �And all three times the results came back positive.� �It�s one thing that Nikolas got Emily pregnant they�re just kids but Alexis you�re a grown woman you should know better then to have unprotected sex.............especially with a Quatermaine.� Stefan yelled. Alexis grabbed Stefan� face and kissed his cheek. �He�s not a Quatermaine he�s an Ashton and we�re having a baby.� She yelled excitingly before turning around and hugging Dr. Newman. �Thank you so much I can�t wait to tell Ned.� She turned and looked back at Stefan. �And just think big brother if it wasn�t for you dragging me here I still wouldn�t know that I was carrying Ned Ashton� child.� Stefan� face turned bright red and he was about to say something as Alexis happier then ever left the room. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Greece ~ �So do you have all you�re stuff together yet or what?� Nikolas teasingly asked. �I just have a few more things to pack and then I�ll be ready to go.� Emily yelled from the bathroom. Nikolas threw himself down on the bed. �In other words Nikolas why don�t you take a nap.� Emily stuck her head out of the bathroom and threw a towel at him. �Very funny Mr. Cassidine.� Nikolas threw the towel back at her. �I for one can�t wait to get home.� Emily walked out of the bathroom and sat down next to him. �Why so we can deal with the Quatermaine� and the Cassidine� one on one?� �NO!� he yelled as he pulled her down on top of himself. � I am in no way shape or form looking forward to dealing with either one of our families.� She kissed him. �Then why are you in such a hurry to get out of here?� Nikolas though for a moment. �Because I miss our bed at home.� �Well I kinda like this one.� She shot back before taking over his lips with hers. Nikolas pulled his body along with hers higher onto the bed. �Well if you like it that much I�ll just have to do something about it.� Emily sat up and removed her shirt. �I think maybe we should try it out at least one last time before we have it shipped back home.� Nikolas sat up slightly and removed his shirt as well. �Works for me.� He grabbed her and again pulled her down to him as they slowly made love! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few hours later Nikolas and Emily were all ready to live the Island. �So Mrs. Cassidine are you ready to go home and start our new life together?� Nikolas asked as he placed his hand on Emily� stomach. �I can�t wait.� She replied before kissing him. Nikolas spun Emily around. �I love you so much.� he stated before pulling her into a hot sexy kiss. �If you keep this up Mr. Cassidine we�ll never get home.� �Who cares.� He replied as he crashed his lips upon hers. Slowly they made their way to the couch and he gently laid her down. �Excuse me Mr. Cassidine but there is an urgent matter that needs your immediate attention.� The butler said as he walked into the room. �Can�t you see I�m busy.� Nikolas yelled. Emily pushed Nikolas off of her and got up. �Why don�t you take care of the problem and we can finish this later?� Nikolas was about to refuse but Emily kissed him on the cheek. �I�m just going to go outside and take one last look at the water. Nikolas mouthed �I love you� to her and she mouthed it back before walking outside. �So what�s so urgent?� Nikolas asked as he turned to the butler. �There�s a phone call for you regarding that overseas company your in the process of taking over.� �Great.� Nikolas yelled as he went into the other room to answer the phone. Emily meanwhile was looking out over the water taking in the scent of the air. She still couldn�t believe a place as beautiful as this even existed. A figure slowly came walking up behind her and place a rag over her face. She tried to scream but her sounds were muffled as she faint. |
