CHAPTER 18 ~The Cassidine Compound ~ �Wow just look at this room!� Liz exclaimed as she walked through the doors. �It�s like a magical castle.� Emily added. Lucky looked around the room. �Well it sure isn't Windermere.� �Actually I just had the whole room re-done.� Nikolas stated. �I wanted my soon to be wife to feel like a princess.� �Why not after all she�s marring a Prince.� Lucky yelled out. �Everything�s so white and pure.� Emily stated as she looks across the room. Her eyes lit up as she spotted an altar in front of a pain glass window. The candles surrounding it made the whole room almost glow. �Nikolas what�s that?� Liz asked as she pointed to a huge metal box hanging from the ceiling. Nikolas placed his hand on Emily� shoulder. �That oh it�s nothing.� He stated blowing her off. �Where do Ned and Alexis disappear to?� Lucky asked. �Knowing Ned they are upstairs in one of the bedrooms celebrating.� Emily laughed. �Excuse me Mr. Cassidine.� The maid said. �The ladies dresses have arrived.� Emily looked at Nikolas. �You ordered me a dress?� �You didn�t bring one with you, did you?� �No it�s just I didn�t think everything was going to be so fancy and formal.� �You my darling love deserve the best.� Nikolas lovingly said before he pulled her into a kiss. �Oh no.� Emily yelled as she broke the kiss. �What if the dress doesn�t fit? I have gained some weight you know.� �There�s a seamstress upstairs waiting to help you with everything. She�s very good and she� very quick.� �That�s my brother he thinks of everything.� �You�re right Lucky I do.� Nikolas said while he rang for the butler. �Yes Mr. Cassidine.� �Could you please show my brother to his room, and make sure he doesn�t have any problems with his tux.� �You want me to wear a tuxedo?� Lucky shockingly asked. �You are the best man you must look the part.� Emily replied. �Oh you�ll look great.� Liz shot back as she took Lucky� arm in hers and they left the room. �Aren�t you going to go upstairs and try on your dress?� Nikolas asked Emily. �In a minute.� She replied as she walked out onto the back porch. �It sure is a lovely view.� �I suppose.� Nikolas quietly stated. �You don�t like it here much do ya?� �I do and I don�t� �So why did you pick here of all places to get married?� �Because I figured it was about time this place gave me some happy memories.� He pulled her lips to his. �And marring you is diffidently going to be the happiest.� -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alexis sat on a stone bench looking out at the water. She couldn�t help but think about the baby she wasn�t going to have and how much after everything that she debated over she really wanted it. �You want to talk about it?� Ned asked as he put his hand on her shoulder. �There really isn�t anything to talk about.� She replied as she brought her knees up to her chest. Ned could feel that something was bothering her but he wasn�t sure just how to get it out of her. �You know Alexis you can tell me anything.� She looked back at him and placed out her hand. He took her hand and she pulled him down next to her. �I just can�t believe I�m back here. I swore I�d never return.� Ned pushed Alexis� hair behind her ear and stared at her as she continued to look out over the water. �Why not just think about why you�re here, not why you don�t want to be here.� She looked him in the eyes as they filled with water. �I hated this placed....I hated what it made me.....and most of all I hated what they did to me.� Ned held her close. �Sweetheart why don�t we go inside?� �I spent most of my life locked up inside that house.....I don�t know if I can even bare to step foot in it.� �I guess we could always ask Nikolas to move the wedding outside.� He jokingly replied as he wiped away her tears. �I�ll be okay I just need a few more minutes.� �Okay well then would you like to talk about it?� Alexis stood up and again looked out over the water. �How can something so beautiful and peaceful looking be so full of hatred and darkness.� Ned stood as well and wrapped his arms around her waist. She lend her head back against his chest as she continued to talk. �Kinda like a paradise prison, the only way out is by death or total destruction of your soul.� �You have a kind hearted soul.� �That�s because only part of me is true Cassidine blood.� She sadly spoke. �No that�s because the part of you in here.� He replied as he placed her hand over her heart. �Couldn�t be killed with hatred.� �I�ve done some horrible things in my life Ned.� �But nothing that has taken your soul.� Alexis looked down and began to play with her engagement ring. �I almost killed someone once.� �I know.� Alexis immediately looked up at him. �What do you know.� He kissed the top of her forehead. �All I need to know.� �All this time I have been so afraid to tell you, and you knew.� �Truth be told, Katherine couldn�t wait to tell me. I never really believed her until now.� �Why didn�t you ever question me on it?� �Why? It wouldn�t have changed anything......it wouldn�t have made me feel any differently about you. You did what you did because you had to do it. I always figured if you wanted to tell me someday you would.� He kissed her lips lightly. �And you just did.� �It�s this place you know?� �Makes you do things you wouldn�t normally do.� �I�m still amazed Mr. Ashton.� He tilted his head. �At how well I know you?� �At how well you understand me and yet still don�t judge me for it.� �Well my dear those who don�t want to be judged shouldn�t pass judgement.� �So true.� She said through laughter as he pulled her into a deep passionate kiss. �Excuse me Ms. Davis.� A maid said as she walked up to them. �Yes Maria.� �The ladies are getting fitted for their gowns and would like you to join them.� �I�ll be right in, thank you.� Maria nodded her head and walked off. �Are you ready to go in?� Alexis placed her arm around Ned waist and began to walk with him. �As long as I have you by my side I�m ready to face anything.� -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few hours later the ladies were dressed in their long sensual gowns. While the men were all decked out in their hats and tails. Lucky stood their at the alter trying to keep Nikolas calm as the music began to play and Elizabeth walked into the room on a elegant white carpet filled with tiny little rose buds. Ned held Alexis tight and she took a deep breath as he placed his hand on her stomach. Elizabeth finally made her way to the alter and stood on the other side as the music changed and Emily magical appeared. Nikolas� heart sunk as his gazes meet hers. She was a pure vision, lovelier then he could ever imagine. The tears quickly began to fill her eyes as she made her way to him. He stepped down and took her hand gently kissing the back of it before he helped her step up. The minister looked at them both and smiled as Emily felt her whole body tense. She couldn�t even hear the ministers words as she looked deep into Nikolas� eyes and tried to breathe. �Emily,,,,,Emily.� Nikolas quietly said as he shook her. �What?� �The minister asked you a question.� The minister laughed as he repeated the question. �Do you Emily Bowman Quatermaine take Nikolas Cassidine to be your lawfully wedded husband. �I do.� And do you Nikolas Cassidine take Emily Bowman Quatermaine to be your lawfully wedded wife?� �I do.� �By the powers vested in me I now pronounce you.........� �What the hell is going on here?� Someone yelled from the back of the room. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHAPTER 19 �I asked a question.� Stefan yelled �and I demand an answer...... now!� �Stefan what are you doing here?� Alexis asked. Stefan ignored Alexis and walked over to Nikolas. �What do you think you�re doing?� �Emily and I were in the middle of our wedding if you�d like to stay your more then welcome.� �Your what?� Stefan yelled before turning and yelling at Alexis. �How could you sit back and allow this tragedy to occur?� �Stefan Nikolas and Emily love each other and.......� �Love they don�t know the first thing about love.� Stefan yelled. �I left you in charge of him, you were suppose to protect him and watch out for his best interests.� Ned stepped in front of Alexis and got in Stefan� face. �Don�t you dare speak to her like that. If you cared so much about your nephew you wouldn�t have disappeared for the last two months.� �Alexis you knew where I was. Why the hell didn�t you call me and tell me what Nikolas planned on doing.� �Because I knew you would blow it all out of proportion. I had ever intention of telling you after they said their vows.� Excuse me!� Nikolas yelled. �The point of why Alexis didn�t tell you is mute. Emily and I are getting married and we don�t need your permission to do so.� �I am not going to allow this farce of a wedding to go any further then it already has.� �Why the hell can�t you just be happy for Nikolas?� Lucky asked. �You have sheltered him his whole life doesn�t he even get a say as to who he loves?� Stefan was about to say something to Lucky as Alexis cut him off. �Lucky I know your just trying to help but maybe it would be better if you didn�t.� �Maybe it would be better if he just got the hell out of my house.� Stefan yelled. �Lucky is my brother and he�s not going anywhere.� Nikolas yelled before turning and looking at the minister. �Now what were you saying?� �I now pronounce you husband and wife.� �She is not his wife.� Stefan screamed. �You may kiss your bride.� Nikolas and Emily began to kiss as Stefan walked over to him and pulled him away from her. �Do you have any idea what you just did?� Nikolas looked at Emily. �Yes I just made a life long commitment to the mother of my child.� Stefan� face boiled with anger over Nikolas� words as he turned around and look at Alexis. He started to walk towards her like he was going to kill her, but Ned put his hands up and held him back. �You so much as lay a finger on her and it will be the last thing you do.� Stefan looked over Ned� shoulder and stared directly into Alexis� eyes. �Tell Ashton to take his hands off of me before I hurt him.� �Stefan why can�t you just be happy for Nikolas?� Alexis pleaded. �Get him off of me?� �You say away from Alexis and I�ll back off.� Stefan turned around and looked back at the minister. �If you value your life you will annaul this wedding right now.� �Stefan!� Alexis shockingly yelled. �You can�t threaten a minister.� Nikolas walked back over to Emily and placed his arm around her waist. �Emily is my wife and I�m sorry if you can�t except that......... BUT you will have to live with it.� �This is far from over young man!� Stefan calmly stated. �Your right it�s just the beginning.� Nikolas said as he slightly kissed Emily. Stefan disgusted with his family turned around and stormed out. �Nikolas I real am sorry about him behaving like that, he really does only want what�s best for you.� Nikolas walked over to Alexis and held her hands. �Alexis you need to stop justifying everything he does.� �I�ve been trying to tell her that for years.� Ned lovingly replied. �So is the happily married couple going to dance or what?� Liz asked. Nikolas picked Emily up and started walking into the other room with her. �We sure are but not in here. Come on everyone follow me.� Everyone but Ned and Alexis left the room. �Are you okay?� �Yea I just really didn�t expect Stefan to show up today.� �Alexis you can�t foresee what your brother does.� �Maybe I should have told him before hand.� �What would he have done if you told him?� Alexis just looked him in the eyes. �You know you did the right thing.� �Maybe you�re right.� �Now what do you say we go into the other room and dance?� �I�d be honored.� -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As Ned and Alexis walked into the room Emily and Nikolas were on the dance floor looking like two people who were in love without a care in the world. �I love you Mrs. Cassidine.� �I love you Mr. Cassidine.� �I�m sorry about Stefan.� �Today is still perfect.� �I can�t believe you�re finally my wife.� �I couldn�t ask for a better husband.� �Oh yea.� Nikolas said through laughter. �How would you know .......we haven�t been married even an hour yet.� �It�s a woman thing.� Emily shot back. �We just know things like that.� �And just what other secret powers do you have?� �You�ve got a lifetime to figure them out.� Emily said as she pulled him into a very hot romantic kiss. Ned took Alexis� hand and walked her out to the dance floor as Lucky did the same with Elizabeth. Everyone looked so happy and in love as Stefan stood out on the back porch and silently vowed to get his nephew away from the terrible influences of the Quatermaine�. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- �Nikolas Cassidine would you like to tell me what we are doing back in here?� �I want you to take this matchstick and light the candle on the alter.� �We already did that.� Emily stated. �You know just before we said I do. �I know but I had a little bit of something different in mind after the minister said I now pronounce you husband and wife.� �What are you up to Nikolas?� �Take the stick and light the candle with me.� Emily took the matchstick and together they lit the candle. Nikolas placed his hand on her face and gently kissed her lips. The metal box opened above her and two dozen pure white doves came flying down. Emily pulled away and looked up. �Nikolas.� Nikolas kissed her neck and undid the zipper on the back of her gown. �Mrs. Cassidine as much as I love the way you look in this dress I think it�s way past time for me to take you out of it.� Emily placed her hands underneath his tux jacket and pushed it to the floor. �I was thinking the same thing about this tux of yours.� Nikolas pulled Emily into an even more romantic kiss as they slowly began undressing each other and sinking to the ground. �Nikolas can we do this here?� Emily asked breathless. �I own this house we can do it anywhere you want.� �Anywhere?� Nikolas looked her in the eyes and gave her a seductive smile. �Anywhere and everywhere.� -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- �Ned?� Alexis yelled as she walked out onto the balcony off their bedroom. Ned spun around quickly and grabbed her by the waist pulling her closer to him. �Did I tell you just how lovely you looked tonight?� He looked down out the elegant nightgown that covered her body. �Not that you looked any lovelier then you do now.� Alexis pulled him into a breathtaking kiss and then backed off. �You don�t honestly think you can tease me like that and just pull away, do ya?� Ned asked as he nibbled on her right ear. �Ned can we go inside and talk?� Ned continued to nibble on her ear as he began swaying their bodies. �Talking isn�t quit what I had in mind.� He begins to kiss her on her neck making his way along her chest line. Alexis can hardly breath as he slowly drives her insane. She so wants to let herself go and be with him but she doesn�t want to put off the truth any longer. She pushes him away and he gives her a WHAT look. �I really need to tell you something.� �Okay so tell me.� He says as he pulls her body tightly against his. �Ned please.� She yells as she pushes him away and walks back inside. Ned is a little confused by her attitude and follows her inside. He becomes even more confused as she sits down on the bed and begins to cry. She looks up at him and mouths something he couldn�t understand. He walks over to her and sits down next to her placing his arm around her. She tries to look him in the eyes and tells him but the words still won�t come out. �Baby you can tell me anything.� �I don�t know how to tell you this.� He places his hands on her face. �How to tell me what?� �That I�m not......I�m not............Oh Ned!� she cries louder and places her head in his chest. �Sweetheart please tell me what has gotten you so upset.� Ned pleaded as he ran his fingers through her hair. �Dr. Newman told me that we weren�t...........that I�m not...........Ned I�m so sorry.� Ned closed his eyes and rested his head on top of hers as the words she couldn�t say were the same words he didn�t want to hear. After a few minutes of the only sound being heard were those of their tears Ned finally asked. �You�re not.......pregnant are you?� Alexis picked her head off of his chest and looked him in the eyes. She didn�t say a word as the tears in her eyes began to flow stronger. She closed her eyes and shook her head no as he push her face back into his chest. �Ned I�m so sorry........I just didn�t know how to tell you.� She stated through her tears. �I so wanted to tell you but then you showed up with those teddy bears and I just couldn�t do it.� �I should have never bought those bears till we knew for sure.� Alexis picked up her face and looked at him. �Don�t say that......I love those bears and I love the fact that you went out of your way to show me just how much you wanted us to have a baby.� Ned shook his head and tried to pull his thoughts together. �Ok Ms. Davis do you want to have my child?� �More then anything.� �Then I suggest we get busy.� He replied as he pushed her back onto the bed. �Does this mean you aren�t mad at me?� �Why on earth would I be mad at you?� �Because I didn�t tell you I wasn�t pregnant as soon as I found out.� �You tried to protect my feelings and I should be mad at you?� He lovingly asked. �I lied to you.� �You tried to protect me and for that Ms. Davis I love you.� He replied as he brought his lips crashing down upon hers so that she couldn�t speak another word. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHAPTER 20 ~Kelly�s ~ One week later ~ Alexis is sitting at a table going over some paper work. �I do believe this is where I left you this morning.� Bobby said as she sat down. �When I took off for the hospital.� Alexis looks at her watch and realizes she�s been there for over four hours. �I am so far behind Bobbie it isn�t even funny.� �Alexis you work to darn hard. I don�t know why you and Ned didn�t stay in Greece a while longer.� �So I could fall even further behind.� Alexis said as she rolled her eyes. �Actually to tell you the truth I�m glad to be home.� �That bad huh?� �Worse. I think the only reason I didn�t have nightmares when I slept is because Ned held me tight at night.� �Going back to that house made you think of things you rather forget, I take it.� The phone rings and Liz answers it. Alexis sat back in her chair and sighed. �It was like walking into the middle of your worst nightmare.� �Excuse Ms. Davis.� Liz yelled. �Mr. Ashton is on the phone for you. �Thank you Liz.� Alexis said as she got up and took the phone from her. �Hey there stranger.� �I know.......I know and I�m sorry I left your suite before you got up this morning.� Ned lovingly stated. �But I had a meeting with a new artist and you look too peaceful to wake. I think that�s the most peaceful I�ve seen you in days.� Alexis smiled �That�s ok it actually gave me an excuse to get some work down.� �What would you say to joining me for a late lunch at the Grill. I have it in with the owners and I know I could get us a very romantic table in the corner.� �Oh Ned I�d really love to but....� �No buts.� He exclaimed. �I was hoping after lunch that we could go back up to your suite and work on our little project together.� �Project?� �Yea you know Project.� He said very seductively. Alexis� face turned beat red. �Oh that project.� �So is it a date?� Alexis looked over at the mounds of paperwork she still hadn�t gotten through and thought about it. �Your ever wish is my command.......just follow directions and say yes.� Ned replied after a moment of silence. �Every wish?� She asked with a seductive tone. �Every wish. I�ll see you in an hour.� Ned stated and hung up before she could say no. Alexis hung up the phone and looked pale all of a sudden. �Ms. Davis are you all right?� Liz asked. Alexis was about to lose her balance when Stefan came storming in and grabbed a hold of her. �Would you like to tell me what the hell you were thinking of.� He yelled as he shook her. Alexis� head began to spin and she passed out in Stefan� arms. �Alexis, Alexis can you hear me.� Bobbie said as she tapped her face. �Liz get me some water.� Bobbie put some water on Alexis� face and she slowly came to. �Hey there are you trying to scare us or something?� Bobbie asked. Alexis looked around the room �What happened?� �You were talking on the phone one-minute and then looked pale the next.� Liz replied. �Then you just passed out.� �Stefan put her in a chair.� Bobbie said. Stefan helped Alexis into a chair and Liz handed her a glass of water. Alexis took a sip of water. �Thanks guys but I think I�m fine now. I guess I�ve just been under too much pressure lately.� �I think you should see a doctor and make sure that�s all it is.� Bobbie stated. �I saw Dr. Newman a little over a week ago and she said I was perfectly healthy.� � Alexis perfectly healthy people don�t just pass out for no reason.� Stefan stated. �Now I�m going to take you and have you checked out.� Alexis went to say something but Stefan cut her off. �No argument.� �I thought you were mad at me.� Alexis quickly shot out before he could cut her off again. Stefan helped Alexis to her feet and gave her an evil look. �First things first.� �Oh great your going to make sure I�m fine just so you can have the pleasure of killing me.� Alexis sarcastically replied. Stefan shook his head. �You talk like that and yet you constantly tell me Ashton has no influence on you.� �Yea well spending time with a Quatermaine can make anyone sarcastic.� Bobbie laughingly states as Stefan and Alexis leave. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ The Cassidine Compound ~ �I can�t believe that we have been here for a whole week.� Emily states as she looks out over the water. �I never want to go home.� �I�d say we could live here forever.� Nikolas replies as he places his hands around her waist. �But this is the last place I want our baby to be born.� Emily turns in his arms to look at him. �Would you like to go back home?� �No we can stay here a couple more days if you�d like.� �I don�t want to stay here if this place only brings back bad memories for ya.� �I'm fine, really I am.� He kisses her. �What do you say we take a walk?� Emily holds Nikolas� hand as they walk along the outskirts of the Cassidine grounds. �So have you thought of any names for our baby?� Emily asked as she placed her hand on her growing stomach. �Boy names or girl names?� Emily smiled at him. �Any names.� �Well knowing you if it�s a girl you�ll want to name her after your mother.� �And what if it�s a boy smarty-pants?� Emily joked. �Since you think you know me so well.� Nikolas stopped walking and pulled her in front of him. �I know you better then you think.� �Oh you do, do you.� Emily shot back. �Then tell me what I�m thinking right now.� Nikolas kissed her right cheek and then her left one. He then slowly kissed every inch of her face before crashing his lips onto hers. The kiss quickly turned into more as he broke it. �You want me to tell you what your thinking right now?� Nikolas began to kiss her neck as Emily shook her head yes. �I�d say you�re thinking about this.� Nikolas replied as he began undoing her blouse. �And a little bit about this.� He added as he undid her bra. �Ya but I was also thinking about this.� Emily said as she began undoing his pants. �And this� she said as she pushed her pants down to his ankles. Nikolas stepped out of his pants before bending down and removing hers. After he removed her pants he stayed on his knees and removed his shirt. He then pulled her down onto her knees as well and pulled her into another passionate kiss. Emily broke the kiss. �I guess you do know me better then I thought.� �That I do.� He replied as he pushed himself back and pulled her down with him. They spent hours lying on the grounds of the Cassidine Compound making love while the sun slowly faded into the water. They both looked peaceful and very content. A shadow slowly appeared out of nowhere and looks out upon the sight of their two-naked bodies. �Oh this will never do.� The figure said before turning and walking away! |
