Chapter 14 Emily stood outside Nikolas� door and cried. She couldn�t even bare to knock. She placed her bags along side of her and sat down on the cold ground. She lends her head against the post and stared up at the black sky. The clouds were heavy and the stars we�re few and far between. She keep replaying the conversation she had with her parents earlier that night and knew there had to be a better way. Nikolas was feet away thinking about how his life turned out. He couldn�t wait to became a father and hold his priceless child. �Priceless.� He thought to himself. What a joke that was, this baby of mine will be anything but. He couldn�t help but think about how badly Emily� family let alone his own was going to react to the news. He walked over to the window and picked up the phone to call Emily, just as he was about to dial the number he noticed her sitting outside his door. He quickly hung up the phone, grabbed his coat and headed outside. �Emily what are you doing here?� He asked as he placed his coat over her shoulders. �I left home.� A red eyed Emily simply stated. �But why?� �They know.� Nikolas just looked at her. �They know about the baby, the proposal, everything.� Nikolas placed his arms around her and carried her in the house as she continued to cry on his shoulders. Gently he placed her on the couch and threw a blanket over her. He cuddled up next to her and held her tight. �Tell me what happened.� �It was awful.� She replied, as she looked him in the eyes. �My parents thought I was doing drugs again because I haven�t been myself.� �SHHH.� Nikolas said as he held her even tighter. �I�m here; everything�s going to be fine.� �I�m so sorry Nikolas I never meant to tell them.� �Never meant to tell them what.� �I was just so upset that they would think after everything I�ve been through I would ever turn to drugs again......so I just blurted out I�m not using drugs........I�m pregnant....I�m sorry, I let them get to me and I shouldn�t have.� �Hey look at me.� Nikolas said and she looked up. He wiped the tears from her eyes. �It really doesn�t matter how they found out, because we both know no matter what they we�re going to react the same way. The only thing I�m sorry about is that I wasn�t there for you.� �I still shouldn�t have told them.� Nikolas got off the couch and held out his hand. �Why don�t we go upstairs and we�ll talk about this in the morning.� �You�re not mad at me?� �For what telling your parents? No!� Emily took his hand and they headed upstairs. �I don�t know what I�d do without you.� She said through tears. Nikolas trying to lighten the mood simple said. �Well you wouldn�t be pregnant that�s for sure.� Emily stopped in the middle of the stairs and kissed him. �I wouldn�t want to be pregnant with anyone else�s baby.� �That�s good to know.� He stated as they continued up the stairs. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Alexis Suite ~ �Ned what are you doing?� Alexis yelled from the bedroom. �Close your eyes.� He said as he walked in the door with something behind his back. �Why?� �Just do it.� He demanded lovingly. �Ok.� Alexis replied as he walked over to the bed. �Can I open them yet?� �No! And no peeking either!� He yelled as he placed a pint of ice cream along with several toppings on the nightstand. �Can I open them now!� She begged. Ned sat down next to her and placed a single red rose under her nose. �Ok open them.� Alexis opened her eyes and smelled the flower in front of her. Ned took the flower and ran it across her face and down her chest. �Would you care for some ice cream?� �I thought I was the one who was suppose to have the carvings?� �You know me I only have one craving.� He stated seductively. She raised her eyebrows and bite the bottom of her lip. �You never quit, do ya!� �Quitters never win and winner never quit.� He replied as he moved his lips inches from hers. �Well we couldn�t have that, now could we.� �Never!� He teasingly replied as he brushed his lips slightly against hers. Alexis was just about to pull him into a deep kiss as he pulled away. �All good things come to those who wait.� �I don�t want to wait.� She pouted. �But the ice cream is melting.� �Let it melt.� She said as she lends up and kisses him. Ned broke the kiss and picked up the pint of ice cream. �But if we let it melt to much it won�t be any fun to eat.� Alexis gave him a strange look. �And just what is that suppose to mean?� Ned flashes his dimples at her and got a very seductive look in his eyes. �I don�t think I like that look of yours.� Ned laughed at her as he slid her body down onto the bed. She didn�t say a word as she watched him carefully with her eyes. Ned unbuttoned her blouse and smiled. �You know I really do love when you wear bras that unbuckle in the front.� He chuckled as he unsnapped it. �Why do you think I wear them?� She asked as she looked him in the eyes. �Oh that�s COLD!� She screamed as he placed a spoon full of ice cream on her stomach. �Couldn�t we have just used a bowl.� She asked as goose bumps over took her entire body. Ned picked up a cup full of sprinkles and poured them in his hand. He let them fall gently through his fingers like sand. �Now what would be the fun in that?� �Okay then couldn�t we have used your stomach for this experiment of yours?� �Ned picked up a jar of cherries and drop three of them on her stomach. �That doesn�t sound like much fun either.� He seductively shot back. �What do you plan on doing with that?� Alexis asked as Ned picked up a can of wipe cream and began shaking it. �Oh this?� He asked rather innocently. �I just plan on placing a little of it here.� He said as he placed it on top of the ice cream. �And a little here.� He said as he placed more on her chest. �And here.� He replied as he shot some in her mouth. �Does it taste good?� He asked as his mouth over took hers. The kiss became breathtaking as Alexis pulled back. �I think the ice creams melting down my side.� �Then I guess we should eat it.� He said as he sat up, taking a spoon full off her stomach and feeding it to her. �I don�t recall ice cream ever tasting so good.� She replied as he shoved another spoon full in her mouth. �Well see that�s the good thing about cravings my dear, they last for months.� Alexis opened her mouth to speak and he placed another spoon full in. �Does that mean every time I have a carving for ice cream you�ll feed it to me?� Ned lends down and kisses the remainder of ice cream off her lips. �Anytime, anywhere.� �I�m going to hold you to that, you know.� �I�m counting on it.� He said as he kissed his way down her chest, taking in a mouth full of wipe cream. �Ned!� She quietly said as licked his way down her stomach, taking in not only the taste of her but the ice cream as well. �Are you really okay with this?� she sadly asked. Ned got up and walked over to the bathroom. He turned on the light and brought back a wet washcloth. He gently washed her stomach as he looked her in the eyes. �Alexis Davis I love you and the fact that we�re having a child together just makes me love you more.� �Do you mean that?� Ned threw the washcloth on the floor and climbed into bed next to her. �More then words can say.� Alexis looked up at him and smiled as he laid his hand on her stomach. They both looked down at his hand as she placed hers on top of his. He looked up at her and her eyes followed. Slowly he brought his lips to hers and they kissed. Nikolas came running through the door. �I know I�m late. I�m so sorry.� �I was being to wonder if you were coming at all.� �I know I�ve been avoiding your phone calls for two days now.� �So I wasn�t being paranoid?� Nikolas looked at her. �I just didn�t want to listen to you screaming at me and telling me I�ve ruined not only my life but Emily� as well.� �I wish you would have told me.� She replies as she places her hand over his. �Yes I will admit I don�t think a baby and wife or what you need right now.� Nikolas was about to say something but Alexis cut him off. �But I didn�t invite you to have lunch with me to judge you or the decisions you made.� �Thank you.� �I take it you haven�t told Stefan yet.� �No but the Quatermaine� know.� �Trust me that I know.� Alexis laughed. �You�re not the only one dodging phone calls.� �I take it Edward still hasn�t gotten a hold of Ned?� �No, but I figure it�s only an amount of time before he show up at my suite.� �Is there where Ned� been hiding?� He laughs. �Yeah he�s there now going over paperwork.� Liz walks over and takes their order. �What can I get you?� Nikolas looks at Alexis. �How about two specials?� �Works for me.� She replies as Liz walks off. �Well lucky for me Stefan is out of town so I only have to deal with one delusional family at a time.� �Do you want me to tell him?� �No I�ll do it but thanks.� �Okay.� She replies. �But we should talk about you�re options.� �Alexis! Emily and I are going to have a baby and we�re going to get married. We�ll work things out.� �Nikolas things are going to be really hard on the two of you, especially Emily.� �I know that.� �She�s just starting her last year of High School and.� �We�ve already talked about that and I�ve hired her a tutor.� He replies cutting her off. �You know what I can tell your upset and really don�t want to talk about this now.� She said as Liz placed the order on the table. �So we�ll talk about it later.� �Thank you.� Alexis smiled at him. �So how about a topic neither one of wants to go to tonight?� Nikolas started playing with his food. �The anniversary party.� �Ya, you and Emily do plan on attending.� �She doesn�t really want to but her grandmother will be crushed if we don�t go.� �I know I spoke to Lila this morning and she wanted to make sure Ned and I was coming.� �You will be there, right?� �Personally I�d rather have root canal.� Nikolas looked at her. �But you will be there.� �You don�t really think Ned will let me stay home, do ya?� She laughed. �Not a chance.� He laughed back. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Alexis� Suite ~ �Well it�s about time you showed your face.� Ned yelled as he opened the door. �I only called you hours ago....� He trailed off �Well maybe you should learn to answer that damn phone.� Edward yelled back. �I thought you were Jax but since you�re not.... get out!� �This is all you�re fault Ned Ashton!� �How is Emily getting pregnant my fault?� �If you hadn�t gone back into the music business Nikolas Cassidine would have never started working for you and....� �Nikolas and Emily have been friends for years.� �They wouldn�t have been spending half as much time together.� �They were always together.� �And that is also your fault!� �That they spend time together?� He asked confused. �Don�t give me that look if you weren�t involved with that Cassidine woman....� �We are getting married.� �I refuse to share the family name with the Cassidine�!� Edward yelled adamantly. �It�s bad enough that you have to announce you plan on marring one of them but now Emily wants to marry another one and is having his baby.� �Grandfather there isn�t much you can do about it.� �The hell there isn�t! I am not going to stand back and just welcome three, count them Ned three, Cassidine� into the family.� At this point it took all Ned� doing not to yell four but for Alexis� sake he bit his tongue. �The Cassidine� are pure evil and unless you call off this wedding of yours, Emily won�t be able to see that.� �I�m not calling off my wedding old man....Alexis and I are getting married weather you like it or not.� �Emily for some strange reason idolizes you Ned.� �Didn�t you just hear me I�m not canceling my wedding.� �Well we could always postpone it.� Alexis says as she walks through the door. �Don�t encourage him.� Ned yelled at her. Alexis quickly walked to the other side of the room. �I don�t want this wedding postponed I want it canceled.� Edward bellowed. �Grandfather I love Alexis and we are getting married in a few weeks....end of story.� He yelled as he pushed Edward out the door and turned to look at Alexis. �And your not bailing out on me!� Alexis just looked at him as he walked past her and slammed the bedroom door. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ The Cottage ~ Lucky and Emily are sitting on the couch eating pizza and talking. �Thanks for coming over and for the pizza.� �No problem Em. Where�s Nikolas anyway I thought he�d be here?� �He went to have lunch with Alexis.� �So how off the wall is she taking it?� Emily got off the couch. �I have no idea. I think he figures that eventually she�ll come around.� �I don�t think Stefan will.� Lucky stated. �I don�t think my grandfather......... or father for that matter will either.� �Hey don�t let it get to ya Em.� He replied as he walked over to her and placed his arm around her shoulder. �That�s what you have friends for.� �Thanks Lucky I don�t know what I�d do without you.� She replied as they hugged one another. �And just what is my baby brother doing with his hands all over my fianc�e?� Nikolas laughingly asked as he walked through the door. Emily runs over and gives him a kiss. �Wow I never thought about that.� �About what?� Lucky asked. �That the two of us will be in-laws.� Lucky smiled. �Well if I can handle Nikolas as a brother I guess I can handle you as a sister.� Emily slapped him on the arm. �I guess that means we can fight like siblings too.� Lucky picked up a pillow and slightly hit her over the head. �I suppose we can.� Nikolas picked up another pillow and hit Lucky with it. �Hey that�s the woman I love you�re hitting.� He joked back. �Well that�s my soon to be brother you just hit, bud.� Emily screamed as she hit Nikolas with a pillow. �And that�s my brother you just hit.� Lucky yells as he hits her, causing an all out pillow fight. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alexis is sitting at her desk working on her laptop when Ned comes out of the bedroom. She doesn�t look at him and continues to type as he walks up behind her and starts playing with her hair. �I�m sorry I yelled at you.� She stops typing and closes the laptop. �I didn�t think you were ever coming out.� �I know I shouldn�t let my grandfather get to me like that.� Alexis turns slightly in her chair and Ned walks in front of her and lends on her desk. �You do know I want to get married, right?� Ned smiles at her and rubs the side of her face. �I also know.......given the chance, you�d postpone the wedding.� �I will admit the idea of getting married scares the crap out of me.� She places her hand on his thigh. �But I have no intentions of not walking down that aisle to you.� �I can�t wait till the first time I get to call you Mrs. Alexis Ashton.� He replies as he brings his lips closer to hers. �That�s Alexis Davis-Ashton mister.� She adds as she brings her lips closer to his. �Whatever.� He says as his mouth crashes down upon hers. He places his hands around her waist and pulls her up to her feet. She snakes her hands around his neck and begins rubbing it. As the kiss becomes more then either one of them can stand, he picks her up and carries her into the other room and shut the door behind them!!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHAPTER 16 ~ Quatermaine Estate ~ Alan, Monica, Edward and Lila are all in the living room waiting for the rest of the family to make its presents known. �Listen you two better be on your best behavior!� Monica yells at the gentlemen. �It took a lot for Nicolas and I to convince Emily to even come tonight.� �That Cassidine boy is not welcome in this house.� Edward bellowed. �Put a sock in it Edward.� Lila demanded. �Thank you Lila.� Monica replied before looking over at Alan and waiting for his pitiful comment. �Well!� �You know how I feel so I�ve decided to keep my opinion to myself.� Monica laughed. �Hallelujah!� �I still don�t know why neither Ned nor Emily has to bring those traders into our house.� Edward yelled. �They�re going to be family Edward and there�s nothing you can do about it.� Monica replied as Emily and Nicolas walked in. �Sorry we�re late.� Emily said as she gave her grandmother a hug. �It must be a Cassidine thing because you�re good for nothing cousin and his hoodlum�s lawyer aren�t here either.� Edward shot back. �Pay no mind to him dear, I�m glad you came at all.� Lila said. Emily walked back over to Nicolas and took his hand. �Ned and Alexis didn�t call and say they wouldn�t be here did they?� �Who needs those two to have a good time!� AJ announced as he walked into the room and straight to the bar. �AJ please not tonight.� Monica said as she took the glass from him. �Oh Monica why even bother.� Ned yelled as he walked into the room with Alexis on his arm. �It�s just a matter of time before he gets drunk and walks out.....and the sooner the better.� �Now isn�t this just a perfect family gathering.� AJ stated as he looked around the room. �A bunch of blackmailing Quatermaine� and killing Cassidine�.� �Enough already.� Lila yelled �Nikolas and Alexis are part of this family now and I won�t have any of you treating them like outsiders.� �Oh but grandmother I thought that was what I was doing.� AJ simple stated as he downed a glass of Vodka. �Oh yes there�s nothing like criticism from the inside to know how deeply one�s loved in this family.� Ned replied while looking at Alexis. �Care for a drink my darling?� Alexis rolled her eyes. �I�d love one.� Ned winked at her as they walked over to the bar. He poured them both a glass of seltzer and twisted in a piece of lime. Alexis took the glass from him and whispered in his ear. �Now I know why you�re not pouring me anything stronger, but do you really want to inhale this entire warm family atmosphere sober?� Ned smiled at her. �Well I just figured since I am the one who is partially responsible for you not being able to have anything stronger, I�d endure the pain right along with ya.� She kissed the side of his face. �If only you could.� He quickly moved his mouth to hers as she kissed him. �That�s enough of that.� Edward yelled as he walked over to them. �If you two had been more responsible Emily wouldn�t be in the position she�s in.� Ned broke the kiss and spun Alexis around and lends her body against his. He wraps his arms tightly around her as she places her arms behind her and around to his backside. �Grandfather Alexis and I are not responsible for what Emily and Nikolas do.� �Grandfather Nikolas and I are in love and we are going to have a baby, why can�t you just except it?� �I refuse to except anything that is Cassidine or therefore any part of a Cassidine.� Edward yelled. �It�s your lose old man.� Ned replied. �And just what is it you think I�m losing Ned?� �For one the love of you�re granddaughter, for two the love of getting to know your great grand child.� �If you don�t want any part of my child�s life then I guess you don�t want any part of me!� Emily yelled as she began to cry on Nikolas� shoulder. �Now look what you�ve done Edward.� Monica yelled �I didn�t do anything to her.� Edward yelled � It�s that Cassidine boy who you should be mad at.� �Well grandfather since I know how much you just love the Cassidine� Alexis and I have announcement of our own to make.� Alexis quickly turned in his arms. �NO! We don�t� �What announcement might that be?� Edward asked. Ned looked at Alexis� pleading eyes and simple stated. �That Alexis and I have decided to have our wedding reception at Windermere.� �Over my dead body.� Edward bellowed as Alexis began to breathe again. �No Edward were not.� Alexis said as she gave Ned an I�m going to kill you later look. �Ned just thinks he�s funny.� Ned flashed his dimples at her and kissed the top of her forehead. �I have no intention of disappointing my Grandmother the reception will be here.� �I so can�t wait for you�re wedding my dear boy.� Lila stated. Ned and Alexis walked over to her and Ned kissed the back of her hand. �I just hope our marriage last half as long as yours did.� �It will my dear.� Lila replied as she looks over at Alexis. �I think you�ve found the one person in your life who will except you with all the faults that you have just like I�ve excepted your grandfather.� Ned looks back at Alexis. � I think you�re right.� �If you�ll excuse us for a minute Lila I�d like to speak to your grandson here, outside for a minute.� She replied as she walked out the backdoor. �I�ll be back grandmother right after I get a lashing or two.� �Knowing you my boy you deserve it.� Ned laughed at Lila and got up making his way outside towards Alexis. �You know this keeps up and soon there will be more Cassidine� in this family then there will be Quatermaine�.� A half-wasted AJ states. �So Nikolas do you have any female relatives I could knock up and give my grandfather a heart attack over?� �Even the Cassidine� are stupid enough to bed the likes of you AJ.� Edward yelled �I will not have you speak to my son that way.� Monica stated. �Why change things now Mom?� AJ stated as he walked over to the bar and fixed himself another drink. Emily walked over to Lila. �Grandmother I�m sorry I know how much you want me to be here but I just can�t stay.� �I understand my dear.� �How about if Nikolas and I came over for lunch sometime during the week?� �I�d so enjoy that.� �So would I Mrs. Quatermaine.� Nikolas said as he kissed the back of her hand. �And just where the devil do the two of you think you�re running off to?� Edward asked. �I�m taking Emily home you people have upset her enough.� Nicolas replied. �You will do no such thing young Man.� Alan said. �Emily is our daughter and if you can�t except our family then I suggest you leave.� �I asked Nikolas to take me home.� Emily yelled. �Now if you�ll excuse us we�ll just be going. Edward, Monica and Alan continued to yell amongst one another as Emily and Nicolas left. Reginald came in and at Lila� request took her up to her room. AJ walked over to the bar grabbing a full bottle of Vodka and let himself out. He walked right past Nikolas and Emily but neither of them acknowledged the other. "I'm so sorry about tonight Emily." Nicolas stated. "It wasn't your fault I should have known better." Nikolas looked lovingly into her eyes and wanted nothing more then to take her pain away. "What do you say we go home and on the way grab a pizza?" "With everything on it?" "Since when do you like everything?" "Since I became pregnant with your child." Nicolas placed his arm around her and they began to walk towards his car."See I knew this baby of ours would see things my way." �Ya well you just wait because once he or she is born they�ll learn real quickly to see things my way!� She jokingly shot back. He kissed the top of her forehead before helping her in the car. "Lord knows it didn't take me long." "Thanks Nikolas." "For what?" He asked as he squatted down in front of her. "For making me feel better." "Anytime." He replied before kissing her deeply. Meanwhile out on the back pouch Ned and Alexis are talking: �And here I thought you were happy about the baby.� Alexis sadly replied as Ned walked up behind her and placed his arms around her. �I love the fact that we�re having a child.� �I wasn�t sure there for a minute.� She replied as she spun in his arm. �And don�t you ever do that to me again!� �I had every intention of telling them.� �I�m glad you didn�t.� �Alexis it�s just a matter of time before they�ll figure it out on their own.� �Well better then, then now.� �I also figured if we told them it would take some of the pressure off of Emily and Nikolas.� �I feel so sorry for them Ned. I mean here we are more then twice there age and we don�t know how we�re going to get through this.� Ned holds her close in his arms and they began to sway as though music was being played in the background. �One day at a time.� �My appointment is in two days and there�s a possibility I�m not even pregnant.� He stops moving and takes her face in his hands. �There�s a bigger possibility that you are ....... and I like the odds.� �I was so scared to tell you.� He places his arms around her and she lays her head back on his chest as they begin to sway once more. �I will love you and except you no matter what. The day you came into my life I knew something in the universe shifted and I couldn�t be happier.� �Ned?� �Yeah sweetheart?� �How are we ever going to manage........... having this child grow up better then either one of us ever did?� �Well it�s already got a head start.� Alexis picked her face up to his. �A head start?� �Yea it has you for a Mother.� He lovingly replied before lending down and kissing her. Alexis broke the kiss but kept her lips upon his. �I love you.� �I will always love you.� He replied through tiny little kisses before kissing her more meaningful. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHAPTER 17 Two days later Ned is running through the halls of Mercy Hospital. While Alexis is pacing back and forth in Dr Newman� examining room waiting for the results of her blood test. �Ned where the hell are you?� She asked as the doctor walked in. �Well?� Dr. Newman looked up at Alexis sadly. �I�m sorry Alexis but......� �I�m not pregnant am I?� She asked as her voice cracked. �Doesn�t mean you can�t keep trying.� Alexis held her head up strongly. �Maybe it�s for the best anyhow...I mean Ned and I never even discussed having a child.� �I really am sorry Alexis, I could tell when you walked in how much you were hoping for a positive result.� Alexis wiped the slight amount of tears from under her eyes before they ran down her cheek. �I was so sure I was pregnant, I had all the signs.� �Unfortunately our minds work that way. Somebody tells you something or you think something is true....... that it almost becomes so.� �Did the test results show anything else........Am I sick or something?� �Your perfectly healthy........a little stressed out perhaps but otherwise healthy.� �Excuse me but Mr. Ashton is here.� A nurse stated as she opened the door. �Can you tell him I�ll be right out.� Alexis replied. �Certainly.� The nurse stated before she left the room. Dr. Newman placed a motherly arm on Alexis� shoulder. �Why don�t you get dressed and take all the time you need before facing him.� �Thank you.� Dr. Newman smiled at Alexis before leaving the room. Alexis sat up and began to get dressed as reality finally hit her and she let the tears flow. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~The Quatermaine Rose garden ~ �Hello grandmother.� Emily said as lends down and gives Lila a kiss. �Why Emily, Nikolas what a wonderful surprise.� �I asked Reginald to call me as soon as Grandfather left for the office.� �You look lovely this morning.� Nikolas replied. �Why thank you young man.� Lila simply stated. �And the two of you look very happy.� Emily squeezed Nikolas� hand and looked up at him. �I couldn�t be happier.� �I love your granddaughter very much Mrs. Quatermaine, and I plan on taking very good care of her.� Lila smiled at the young couple in front of her who looked so much in love. �It looks like you�re already doing a wonderful job.� Nikolas placed his arm around Emily� waist. �With Emily its easy.� Emily smiles at him before looking back at her grandmother. �The reason we came to see you grandmother........ is that Nikolas and I have talked and we�ve decided to leave town and get married.� Emily could see both the sadness and the understanding in her eyes.� We just wanted to tell you before we left for Greece.� �Greece?� Lila questioned. �Yes I�ve called the house and I�ve arranged for everything to be taken care of upon our arrival.� Nikolas replied. �We may not have many friends and family around when we say I do but it will be romantic and perfect.� �I so wish you could be there Grandmother.� �I will be darling.� Lila says as she puts her hand over her heart. �Right here where it counts.� Emily kissed her �I love you.� �And I love you too my dear.� Nikolas looked at his watch and was shocked by the time. �Em I�m sorry but we really must get going. Lucky and Liz are probably at the hanger waiting for us.� �Oh no! We can�t leave yet. We haven�t gotten a hold of Ned and Alexis. I so want them to be there.� �I got a hold of Ned and he said they�d be there.� �When?� Emily asked enthusiastically. �When doesn�t matter.� He looks at his watch again. �If we don�t get out of here now there won�t be a wedding.� �Nikolas I love you.� �Good then you can show me by having us be on time for our own wedding.� �You better get going my dear.� Emily kissed Lila goodbye. �I�ll wire you a wedding photo, as soon as I can.� �I�ll have Reginald keep his eye out for it.� -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Dr. Newman� office ~ Alexis took a deep breath before she walked out into the waiting room where Ned was. �I know I said I�d be here before you went into see the doctor.� Ned stated with a very apologetic tone. �But at the last minute a booking agent called and I couldn�t get him off the phone.� Alexis couldn�t bare to look at him. �I hope this makes up for it.� He adds as he holds up two tiny little twin light brown bears. Who�s shirt reads DADDY LUVS YOU! and MOMMY LUVS YOU!� Alexis took the one bear that said daddy luvs you and threw herself in his arms as she began to cry. �Oh Ned.� �Hey.� he said as he pulled her head off his shoulders and made her look into his eyes. �If a couple little teddy bears make you cry like this......I�d hate to see what you�re going to be like when we start picking out names.� �Ned there�s something I need to tell you.� He kisses her lips meaningfully before pulling away. �Well it will just have to wait because we are late.� �Late for what?� �A wedding.� �A wedding?� �Yes Nikolas called me and he and Em are flying to Greece to get married.� �Now?� A shocked Alexis asked. �Right now.� He replied as he picked her up, hugged her, and spun her around. �And if you like we can get married while we�re there as well.� �Ned we can�t!� He kissed the side of her face. �Why not?� �Because for one you�re grandmother would be heart broken.� �And for two it wouldn�t give you enough time to think of a good enough reason to back out at the last moment.� �That�s right.� She shot back. �I�ve had weeks now to try and come up with a plausible excuse not to marry you in a few weeks..........� �And you can�t think of one, can you?� Alexis rolled her eyes. �Well not one that you�d buy anyway.� �Trust me my darling soon to be partner in life, there isn�t any.� He pulls her into another big kiss. �let�s get out of here.� -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ The Cassidine Jet ~ �A toast to you Miss Webber.� Lucky said as he handed her a glass of Champaign. Elizabeth took the glass and looked around the inside of the Jet. �I still can�t believe we are on our way to Greece.� �Yea well if Nik and Em don�t get here soon we might not be going anywhere.� �Bite your tongue.� Nikolas yelled as he stepped into the jet. �Are you ready to take off Mr. Cassidine?� The pilot asked. �Not until my aunt and her fianc�e get here.� �Yes sir.� �Just how long does it take to get to Greece?� Lucky asked. �Who cares.� Liz stated. �I could spend a week on this jet and not get board.� �Actually.� Emily starts in as she sticks her nose up in the air. �My grandfathers Jet........really is a lot bigger.� Nikolas wraps his arms around her and laughs. �Do you all see what I have to put up with.� �Well it�s about time the two of you decided to show up.� Lucky says as Ned and Alexis board the jet. �Sorry we�re late but we had an appointment we couldn�t cancel.� Ned happily stated. �Well don�t keep us in suspense.� Emily stated. �Tells us what the hell happened to put you in such a good mood.� Ned was about to say something as Alexis cut him off. �We�re just so happy for the two of you.� �That and the soon to be Davis-Ashton Jr. of ours keeping us up at night.� Ned yelled. �Alexis you�re pregnant?� Emily screeched. �Congratulations.� Nikolas yelled as he pulled her into a huge hug. Alexis tried to hold back her tears as everyone congratulated them. Lucky who was still holding the bottle of Champaign shouts out. �You know I think this calls for a toast.� �I�ll get the glasses.� Nikolas says. Everyone holds up a glass as Ned makes a toast. �To the next generation of Quatermaine Cassidine blood........may god help them both.� Alexis looked deep into Ned� eyes as he hit his glass into hers. He gently wiped what he thought were tears of joy from her eyes, before leaning in and kissing her softly on the lips. �You know I think AJ was right for once in his life?� Nikolas yelled out. Ned laughed. �Now what would make you say a thing like that?� �Well the other day he said soon there would be more Cassidine� in the Q family then there would be Q�s.......and I think he�s on to something.� Ned held Alexis tight. �Well I don�t know about you Nikolas but I have no intention of stopping at just one.� Nikolas looked deep into Emily� eyes. �Neither do I.� |
