CHAPTER 1 Helena is on her yacht sipping champagne and thinking when this scene opens. Helena: Andreas, call the island and have them prepare for her departure. And then, please fix up her room here for her arrival. You know the kinds of things she likes...I want her to feel comfortable and welcome when she arrives. Andreas: Yes, madam. Am I to presume Ms. Davis has stepped over the line for the final time? Helena: Yes she has. I can not have her making empty threats in front of the others or figuring out what happened to Stefan...This will ensure she does not do anything to me again. Andreas: I will make the necessary arrangements. Is that all madam? Helena: For now, yes. Thank you Andreas. (Andreas leaves)...Natasha, you will pay for what you have done...you insolent little brat. ************************** Alexis: (on phone) Hi sweetheart...I miss you like crazy too...No, nothing's wrong...Really, honey. So, when are you coming home to me?..That long? Can't you make it any sooner?...No, I understand L&B would be in peril. I'm just terribly lonely, that's all...Ok, I'll talk to you then...I love you too. Bye. Alexis flopped on Ned's bed and just lied there with her eyes closed, missing Ned, missing Stefan but most of all, feeling more alone than she had ever felt before. Tears silently fell down her cheeks as she slowly fell asleep for the night... *************************** The next week, Helena had invited Alexis over to settle an old score. Alexis arrived and was ushered in by Andreas, into the living room, where Helena was waiting patiently for her nemesis. Helena: Welcome Natasha. It's been awhile. Alexis: Not long enough you old bat. So, why am I here? Helena: I would watch that mouth of yours. You never were a woman for words were you? I have invited you here to make amends. I would like to apologize for the way I behaved toward Mr. Ashton the last time we met. I did not realize he meant that much to you. Alexis: (raising her voice) It's none of your business what Ned means to me...Just leave him out of our affairs... Helena: Or what? Alexis: (realizing Helena is getting to her) Or nothing. Forget it. What do you want Helena? Why have you summoned me? Helena: I want to know what you know about your brother's death...Tell me what you know... Alexis: I know that you killed him and I know that I am going to get the proof required to put you away for a very long time...I know you poisoned him right here in the spot where I am standing and then threw him overboard...(noticing the disturbed look on Helena's face) Oh, did I just stumble on one of your dirty little secrets? Helena: I would watch what you say Natasha. Alexis: Or what? Helena: Or your little boy toy will fear the repercussions of your insolence. Alexis: You are not going to hurt Ned and if you even come within 100 feet of him, I'll kill you myself. Helena: (laughs out loud) I don't think you want to do that Natasha. Alexis: Oh, and why not... Helena: (calls Andreas) Andreas, bring her in here. Andreas enters the room with a young girl around the age of 17 who has been gagged and blindfolded. Her arms are tied behind her back. She walks gingerly and meekly as she is being held up by Andreas. Alexis turns around and drops the vodka tumbler she was holding in her hands...she becomes weak in the knees and sinks into the chair she was standing beside...(whispering)..Oh my god...as tears began to silently fall down her cheeks, Helena ordered Andreas to remove the blindfold from the girl. As soon as he did this, she too began to feel weak and leapt forward into the open arms of Alexis. Alexis: Oh my god, Kasey...Is it really you? (trembling, Alexis takes Kasey's head between her hands to look at her)...You're alive... Kasey: Mommy, I've missed you so much...I'm so sorry...(as Kasey openly weeps, she pulls her mother into a long awaited tight embrace). Helena: Alright. Enough of the weeping...Andreas, take her back to her room. As Andreas pries Kasey from the warmth and comfort of Alexis's embrace, Helena can be seen in the background with a small evil grin on her face. Alexis: No, you can't take her away...Please, Helena I will do anything you want...just let me take care of her...(All this time, Kasey was yelling for her Mommy to save her and help her, tears and cries being heard in the distance) Helena: Save it Natasha. You will never have the chance to raise your precious little girl again...You had that chance one and you gave it up. Alexis: (who has stopped crying but has turned her tears into anger) Give it up? I never gave it up...(softly) I thought she was dead...(tears begin forming again)...I identified her body...I never thought I would see my little girl again... Helena: And you won't if you don't comply with my every desire. Alexis: Anything...I will do anything to get my daughter back... Helena: You will first drop your investigation into Stefan's death. Alexis: Done, now let me have my daughter you bitch... Helena: No, no, no...Not so fast, my dear. Next, you will get rid of Chloe. Alexis: (laughs) What? You have got to be kidding... Helena: Try me. Alexis: But....how?...she's my friend... Helena: I don't care how, but if you refuse to comply, you will never see your daughter alive again...And you will never know what she has been doing or what she is like... Alexis: Okay fine, I'll do it.... |
