CHAPTER 40

~Port Charles Grill ~

�I can�t believe that Bitch!� Julia yelled as she drop some papers in Jax� lap. �Even with everything going on in her life she still has time to ruin mine.�

Jax briefly looked at the papers before throwing them down on the table. �Julia Alexis has people working for her. She most likely doesn�t even know what they�ve been up to.�

Julia sat down. �She�s trying to over take my company and all you can say is she probably doesn�t even knew it!� She looked at him funny. �What are you doing here anyway? I was under the impression that you went off looking for Kristin?�

�I happened to have just gotten back and since you seemed so concerned about the little girl, no I didn�t have any luck finding her.� Jax stated sarcastically.

�Oh don�t give me this I�m the bad guy you�re the good guy attitude.� She lends closer to him. �We both know the only reason you�re even bothering to look for that child is so that you can win Alexis back.�

�Her daughter is missing and the only reason you think I want to help find her is so I can get her in bed?� Jax yelled. �You really don�t have any scruples to do?�

Julia just laughed at him. �You�re sleeping with Tracy and you question my sense of values?�

Jax stood up and threw some money down. �You know Julia I hope Alexis takes you for everything you�ve got and then some!�

~ PCPD ~

Mac and Taggert are talking when Ned walks in.

�Mac did you find Kristin?�

�No I�m sorry I haven�t heard anything.�

�Then why did you call me down here?� Ned yelled. �Why is everyone just standing around here doing nothing when my little girl is out there some place scared and alone?�

�Ned trust me we haven�t given up, we�re still looking for her and we will find her.� Taggert stated.

�Don�t be shocked if I don�t put my faith in you or this police station, Taggert.� Ned said before turning to look at Mac. �If you don�t mind I have a child out there that I need to find. Call me if you find out anything.� He added as he started to walk away.

�Ned wait.� Mac yelled. �I called you down here to discuss a very serious matter.�

Ned stopped and turned around. �The only serious matter we have to discuss commissioner is my daughter!�

�It�s about the bombing at L&B.� Mac said

�Without Kristin L&B means nothing to me.� Ned said as he turned once again to walk away.

�We found the man who was hired to plant the bomb.� Mac yelled as Ned continued to walk away. �He was hired by you�re mother!�

Ned stopped dead in his tracks but didn�t turn around.

Mac walked over and stood in front of him. �He just signed a statement not to long ago that basically say�s he was hired to blow up L&B, but that he was to make sure no one was in the building.�

�Why?� Ned asked. �Why would my mother hire someone to destroy L&B?�

�He said she hired him for your own good that you should be back running the family business not playing with teenagers.�

Ned placed his hand over his face and sighed. �Yea, that�s my family, they�ll do anything for the sake of saving the family company! If that�s it Mac I need to go see my mother?�

�You might as well have a seat and wait then, because she was just released from the hospital and two of my officers went to pick her up.�

Ned pulled out a chair and sat down. �Fine I�ll wait!�

~ Cassidine Island ~

�Grandmother who�s the little girl?� A 15-year-old girl asked

�Why she�s your sister.� Helena simple replied.

�My what?�

Helena smiled and walked over to the child. �You heard me she�s your sister and in a few days your brother will be joining us as well.�

�You can�t do this to her not again!� The girl yelled.

�I will not allow you to speak to me with that tone.�

�I don�t care what you want! Haven�t you hurt my mother enough?�

�I still don�t understand why Stefan felt the need to tell you who your mother was.�

�Where is Uncle Stefan? He won�t let you keep that child like he let you keep me.�

Helena laughed. �Victoria my dear Stefan has no other choice. Do you really think he wants Alexis to find out he had anything to do with allowing me to take you all those years ago?�

�Maybe its about time my mother knew I was alive?�

�That my dear will only happen when I want it to happen and not a moment sooner!�

�I�m going upstairs and calling Uncle Stefan� Victoria yelled. �I�m going to tell him that you have Kristin and I want to see my mother!�

�You will do no such thing!� Helena yelled as she forcefully grabbed the child�s arm. �I told you what would happen to your poor mother if she ever found out you were alive.�

�What did she ever do to you to make you hate her so much?�

�Her mother slept with my husband and that is something that I intend on making her pay for.�

�So why not make her pay by throwing me in her face?� Victoria yelled. �You�d get your final revenge by showing her that her daughter didn�t die and that you�ve been raising me all along.�

�Oh my darling dear. I plan on letting Alexis know you�re alive but not until I�ve striped her form everyone she loves!�

�Grandma, Grandma look what I made.� Kristin yells as she enters the room.

�Why isn�t that just lovely?� Helena said.

Kristin looks over at Victoria. �Who are you?�

�This Kristin is your big sister Victoria.�

�I don�t have any sisters just a brother. His name is Tommy.�

�Well sweetie Victoria here is your half sister.� Helena states.

�I have a half sister her name is Brooke-Lynn.�

�Brooke-Lynn is your half sister by your daddy right?� Helena asked

�Yes.�

�Well just like Brooke-Lynn is your half sister by your daddy, Victoria here is your half sister by your mommy.�

�Oh.� Kristin yells.

Victoria walks over and takes Kristin hand. �Come on Kristin why don�t we go upstairs and play?�

�I�d like that.� Kristin says as the walk off.

�Just remember what I said Victoria.� Helena firmly states.

�How can I ever forget?� Victoria quietly said under her breath.

~ The Ashton�s ~

�Coming.� Alexis hollered as she ran to get the door. �Jax what are you doing here?�

�I came to see if you were all right.� He looks at her. �But if this is a bad time I could come back later.�

�No don�t be serious.� Alexis replied as she tied her bathrobe shut. �Ned just went out for a little bit and he made me take a nap. Please come in.�

Jax walked in and sat down on the couch. �So you�re not expecting Ned anytime soon?�

�No.� She replied as she sat across from him and smiled. �So you don�t have to worry about him throwing you out.�

�It�s great to see you smile again.�

�Ya well you always seem to know just what to say.� She joked back.

Jax took her hands in his. �I know how worried you are about Kristin and I just wanted to stop by and let you know I�m doing everything I can to help bring her back home.�

�I know you are.�

�I�d do just about anything for you.�

�I know you would.�

Jax got up and she stood as well. �If you need anything, please don�t hesitate to call me.�

�In spite of everything that�s happened between us?�

�You are and always will be my best friend Alexis and I only want what�s best for you.�

Alexis gave him a huge hug. �And you�ll always be my best friend.�

�So why don�t you do your best friend a favor and go back upstairs and lye down for a while?�

�Actually I was thinking about getting dressed and maybe talking a walk.�

�In that case how about some company?�

�I�d like that.� She replied. �I won�t be long.� She added as she took off up the stairs.

�If I�m not here when you get back then you know it�s because Ned came home and I slipped out the back door.� Jax joked.

~ PCPD ~

�Mac I don�t have all day I though you said they were bringing her right down?� Ned stated aggravated.

�They should be here any minute.� Mac replied not a moment too soon.

�Ned what are you doing here?� Tracy asked as she walked into the station accompanied by two officers.

�I think the more important question Mother should be why are you here?�

Tracy looked at the officers and then back at her son. �I haven�t got a clue. They refused to tell me anything.�

�We just arrested a man who says you paid him to blow up L&B Studios.� Mac simple stated.

�What?� Tracy yelled. �I would never do anything to hurt my son.�

�Give it a rest mother I�m really not in the mood for you�re garbage!� Ned yelled

Tracy walked over to him. �Ned, honey I may not like the fact that you choose to run that small insignificant company of yours but I would never do anything as terrible as I�m being accused of.� She rubbed the side of his face with her hand. �Especially not to you.�

�Why should I believe a word you tell me?�

�Because I�m you�re mother and I love you.�

Ned was so sick of Tracy�s lie and deceit that he couldn�t help but laugh at her in an evil tone. �You�ve tried to sabotage my life one to many times already mother and trust me I have no intention of letting you try again.�

�Ned I swear I had nothing to do with the explosion at L&B!� Tracy yelled.

�Just like you swore you had nothing to do with changing Kristin�s blood sample!� He shot back.

�You want to accuse someone of that why not start with the woman you almost took to bed several times.� Tracy yelled. �That blond slut wanted you so bad she didn�t care what she had to do to get you into bed!�

�You really are sick you know that Mother. My daughter is out there somewhere and the only reason she ran away is because she thought both her mother and I left her......the one thing I promised her I�d never do again.� His voice grew fiercer with every word. �And here you are trying to pass the domino effect you created off on someone else.�

�That�s not true, damn it! I didn�t switch Kristin� blood test and you know it!� Tracy quickly and angrily shot back. �Deep down inside you know that I�m right and the only person other then me who would have anything to gain by Kristin being Jax� and not yours in Julia!�

�Mother if I find out that you�re lying to me.� He walked closer to her and whispered in her ear. �You�re going to wish I did die in that fire!�

�Ned please wait.� Tracy yelled pleading to her son who began to walk away. �I love you and I would never hurt you.�

Ned so wanted to turn around and force her to tell him the truth, but the anger that he felt grow inside of him the moment he laid eyes on her told him he better keep walking.

�Ned please don�t leave I need you�re help!� Tracy stated desperately as she tried to run after him.

�Sorry Ms. Quatermaine but you�re not going anywhere.� Mac said as he grabbed her arm. �Not until you and I have a small talk about a big explosion.�

Tracy turned and looked Mac straight in the eyes. �I demand to call my attorney!�

�By all means, be my guest.� Mac said as he points to the phone.

~ One Hour Later ~

�Thanks for taking a walk with me.� Alexis said as they walked through the front door.

�Anytime.� Jax replied.

�For some strange reason I feel like a whole new person.�

�You still look like the same gorgeous person I know and love.�

�Oh Jasper Jacks you say the nicest things.�

�Only to you.� He replied as he looked at his watch. �I better be going, but remember if you need anything....�

�Just call.� She stated cutting him off.

�Come here you.� Jax said as he pulled her into a tight embrace. �Everything�s going to work out and before you know it you�re going to be tucking that little girl of yours into bed once again.�

�I pray you�re right.�

�I know I�m right.� He stated as he held her face in his hands and kissed the top of her forehead.

�Get you�re hands off my wife.� Ned yelled as he walked into the house, grabbed Jax� arm spun him around and punched him square in the face.

�Ned stop it!� Alexis yelled

Ned looked over at Alexis as Jax got up and grabbed him pinning him against the wall.

�You want to fight, then lets fight.� Jax screamed as he punched Ned in the stomach.

Ned bunched over in pain slightly before taking his body weight and running full force into Jax. Alexis continued to scream as they both flew over the couch.

�What the hell is going on in here?� Edward bellowed as he walked through the front door with Tommy, causing both men to stop dead.

�Mommy, Mommy.� Tommy screamed from sheer fear as he ran over to Alexis and grabbed her leg for dear life.

�That�s enough!� Alexis yelled one last time as she picked up her son. �I don�t know what you�re problem is Ned and I don�t want to know.� She added as she took off up the stairs.

�Alexis wait I�m sorry!� Ned stated as he got off the floor and ran after her.

�Leave it to you to once again cause problems for those two.� Edward stated as he pointed up the stairs.

Jax got off the floor and headed to the front door. �Like you�ve never done anything but praise their relationship!� He stated as he walked out the door

�Alexis honey please can we talk about this?� Ned pleaded as Alexis spoke to her son.

�It�s okay Tommy, Daddy and Jax were just playing that�s all.� She said lovingly as she held her son and gave Ned an evil look.

Ned turned and left as Alexis continued to calm her son.

�Look Scooby is on.� Alexis said as she flipped through the channels of the TV. �Why don�t you watch Scooby and in a little while Mommy will make dinner, okay?�

�Okay mommy, I love you.�

�I love you too sweetie.� Alexis said as she closed the door behind her and walked into her bedroom to find Ned sitting there waiting for her.

�I�m sorry I shouldn�t have hit him.�

Alexis walked into the bathroom and turned on the cold water. �Your right you shouldn�t have.�

�Jax is just the last person I needed to see today.�

�Especially in you�re wife�s arms?� She asked annoyed as she walked out of the bathroom with a cold washcloth.

Ned didn�t even reply back to her comment as she pushed him back onto the pillow. She then sat down next to him and held the wet cloth on his swollen left cheek.

�Want to tell me what happened today that put you in such a bad mood?� She asked.

My Mother has been arrested..........or at least she�s been hauled down to the station for question.�

�She�s being questioned for what?� Alexis asked. �I thought the police already question her about what happened the night she almost OD?�

�They did.� He stated as he removed the cloth from his face and slid his body over making room for her to lie next to her.
�What else would the police have to question her about then?� She asked as she did exactly what he wanted.

Ned wrapped his arms tightly around her and kissed the top of her head. �They wanted to talk to her about the bombing at L&B.�

Alexis looked into his eyes. �Why?� She asked as she felt a sharp pain go through her body.

�They believe that she hired someone to blow the building up.�

Alexis kissed Ned lightly on the lips before resting her head against his chest. �Ned I�m so sorry, I know how much this must be killing you.�

�Killing me?� He asked as he started playing with her hair. �What about you?� He kissed the top of her head again. �What about what she did to you?�

Alexis unbuttoned his shirt and placed small kisses down his chest. �Do you honestly think you�re mother is capable of hiring someone to blow up the building and kill innocent people in the process?�

�I don�t know.� He sighed as he pulled her shirt out of her pants and began rubbing her back. �The man the police arrested said that she made it clear no one was to be in the building.......but I don�t know.� He undid her bra and she sat up to look him in the eyes, giving him the perfect opportunity to pull her shirt over her head and remove her bra completely from her body. �She could have promised him more money if he told the police no one was to get hurt.�

She brought her lips to his and kissed him passionately but sadly. He pushed her back and placed her head back on his chest. He then lightly took his fingers and ran them across her bare back causing her to tense.

�Ned I don�t want to talk about this.� She said as she kissed his chest and began unbuckling his pants. �I just want to lye here and show you just how much I love you.� She climbed on top of him and brought her face inches from his. �And how much I want to be loved.....� She kissed him slightly and then whispered in his ear as she chewed on it. �By you.�

Ned took her face in his hands and with more passion and desire then she ever dreamed of, he kissed her. Their tongues intertwined as their hands immediately roamed one another�s body and clothes were thrown throughout the room.

What started off as passion and desire instantly turned into need and lust as he forcefully throw her body over and they made love for the first time since either one of them could even remember.
