Chapter 6 Ned ran into the penthouse to find Alexis looking out the window. "Alexis. We have to talk." Ned said walking over to her. "About what? About the fact that I walked in on you and your ex-wife kissing. Or the fact that you lied to me and said that you loved me not matter what? Take your pick." Alexis said not even looking at Ned. "Alexis let me explain. Lois and I were talking and I was telling her how much I loved you and then she said to prove it and with that she started kissing me. I didn't want her too. And I didn't lie to you I do love you and that is forever." Ned said moving closer to Alexis. "Ned it takes two people to make a kiss and it didn't look to me like you were pulling away. Explain that." She said finally turning around to face Ned and look him in the eye. Ned didn't say anything. "See Ned you can't think of a lie to get yourself out of that one. Just admit that you still love Lois and you didn't know it until she came back and said she wanted you back.. Just tell me it is over and go be with her and your little girl. That is what you want." Alexis said walking past Ned to the stairs. "Alexis I don't want to be with Lois I want to be with you. I didn't pull away because Lois had a grip on me and that is not a lie. I love you; I am over Lois and have been for years know. She is trying to get between us and it is working. Please believe me. We can make it past this; we just have to show Lois that we love each other with all our hearts and that nothing is going to break us up. Nothing." Ned said holding Alexis by the shoulders. "Ned I don't know if I can. You were kissing another woman, your ex-wife to make it worse. I think you need time to think about what you want." "I want you Alexis. Please don't hate me for that kiss. It didn't mean anything to me. I was thinking about you the whole time." Ned said. He waited a few minutes and then pulled her into a passionate kiss. Alexis pulled away. "Ned do you mean everything you just said? Because I don't want to find out in a few weeks that you were lying to me. I love you and I am not up for a broken heart." Ned smiled and kissed Alexis again. "Does that answer your question?" "I think you better try that again, I didn't quiet get it that first time." Alexis said smiling as Ned kissed her again. "I got it that time." "I love you Alexis. All we have to do is not let Lois and her schemes come between us." "Okay." Alexis said between kisses. They were interrupted however by Ned's cell phone. "It seems your phone has been the problem lately." Alexis said smiling. "Ha! Ha!" Ned joked answering the phone. "Hello. Ned Ashton. What?!? Yeah I will be right there." "What is it?" Alexis asked a little worried. "There was a fire and L&B was burned down. I have to get down there." "I'm coming with you." Alexis said grabbing her and Ned's coats as they headed out the door. |
