Debbie Amato was born in Teramo, Italy on March 1, 1960. She was adopted by Ralph and Mary Ann Amato at the age of 13 months. The Amato family lived in Chicago, IL where Debbie attended St. Turibus Grade School. Upon Graduation in 1974, she attended Lourdes High School. Debbie graduated high school in 1978 and went on to the University of Illinois - Chicago for one year. Living on her own, she continued her education part-time and worked full time for several years, until she got married. Debbie was married in 1986, and divorced in 1990. After her divorce, she remained in Chicago for another year, and then moved to California. Debbie has explored many career fields from secretary, to restaurant manager, to cosmetologist. She currently works as a Pawnbroker at Rocky's Pawn Shop in Morongo Valley, CA and is a freelance cartoonist. She has an AA in Liberal Studies and is continuing her education at night taking courses in computer operations and applications. Debbie is single, and lives in Palm Desert, CA with her three cats: Josephine, Agent Mulder, and Ash. She enjoys the Internet and computers in general, and is known as "Sykochik" by the computer geeks of the world. She also likes Goth, Industrial and Alternative music. Some of her favorite musicians are Marylin Manson, Iggy Pop, and Rob Zombie. Her favorite color is black and she enjoys reading horror novels, and her favorite TV shows are "The X-Files" and "South Park". Debbie would like to return to Italy some day to visit her birthplace.
