Because there is no leader in this group, everyone attending group events is responsible for their own personal safety and should be equipped with necessary safety equipment such as PFDs, distress whistles, visual signals, bilge pumps and lights as well as boat registrations and licenses. The Mohican Waters Paddling Club charges no membership fees and assumes no reponsiblity for personal injury or equipment damage incurred during group paddles.

The MWPC has adopted a stretch of the Black Fork River running from US Rt 42 to US 30 in the Ohio Department of Natural Resouces' Adopt-a-Waterway program. We have already completed several outings to pick up litter and remove logjams to maintain a navigable waterway through this beautiful river.
