The general assembly of the United Nations has declared
the year 2005 as the International Year of Physics. In this
connection our organization is also observing it with various
programmes based on the promotion & popularization of
Physics among the students of Manipur. The main event will
be held on 24th April 2005 at City Montessori Hr. Sec. School,
Uripok Lamboikhongnangkhong, Imphal at 10 A.M. sharp with
the following programmes/contests.
- Seminar Presentation Competition on recent advancement
of Physics
- Popular Science talks by eminent Physicists:
- Prof. C. Amuba of Manipur University [Topic: “Astrology:
Science or Not”]
- Prof. H.N.K. Sharma of Manipur University [Topic:
“Development of Physics since Einstein’s
Miraculous Year 1905”]
- Dr. N. Nimai Singh, Guwahati University [Topic: “Unsolved
Problems in Physics: The Next Twenty Years!”]
- Poster Competition
- Quiz competition on Physics
Schools/colleges may sponsor not more than 2 (two) participants
from class IX to XII for Seminar & Quiz competition,
but there is no limit in no.of students for the poster competition.

& evening hours.
