| Prayer Shawls Prayer Shawls are created for those in need of comfort and solace. Many blessings are knitted or crocheted into every shawl or lapgan. The crafter begins each shawl with prayers for the recipient. Intentions are continued throughout the creation of the shawl. When the shawl is completed it is offered a final ritual before sent along its way. The North Kent Presbyterian Shawl group has been hard at work. Several shawls and lapghans have been created and gifted in the short time we have been together. We welcome anyone who would like to join us whether you know how to knit or crochet or would like to learn. We meet every second Tuesday and fourth Wednesday at 7 pm in the church library. Some of the group also work on their projects at home and on trips. |
| If you know of someone who would like to receive a Prayer Shawl or Lapghan call or email the church office at 616-866-2230 or [email protected] You may also place the name of your recipient in a Prayer Request envelope and place it in the offering plate on Sunday. If you would like to help the group, donations of yarn, 3 large bins for storage, and neutral gift bags are in need. Monetary gifts for yarn are allso greatly appreciated.
