Dolphin Encounters

Meeting the dolphins at Blue Lagoon Island was the highlight of our trip.

From Paradise Island Ferry Terminal, a 20 minute boat trip brought us to a private dolphin sanctuary where you could actually swim with the dolphins. The stunning blue waters reminded me of the island where I grew up.

I don't know how to swim.  So even with the life jacket on, I panick when I can't feel the bottom.

I don't know if this guy sensed I needed help, but he stayed by me the whole time, letting me hold on when I needed a little support.

Believe it or not, that blur in the water is 10-year old Kiyomi being pushed through the water by a dolphin at 25 miles per hour.

During the program, the dolphins will also hug you, kiss you, and dance with you.

The program is NOT cheap, but every parent there who saw the kids' faces light up when meeting the dolphins agreed it was worth it.
