4     I WAS GOING TO KILL KELLY CLARKSON!!! Oh, I'm sorry. But I really want to kill that...That goody-goody. How dare she?! Okay...I better calm down and start from the beginning, 'cause I'm getting way ahead of myself. Alright...Here's why I'm so pissed at Kelly...

It was at one thirty in the morning. I was in the mansion's gardens. I wasn't gardening or anything, but I was sitting under the tree. I couldn't sleep, because I was...lonely. When we first moved here, I demanded to have my own room while the other girls slept together. I like Christina, but I'm not so sure of Tamyra. And I know Nikki hates me (ditto). And that goody-goody (Okay,...Kelly) is the one I really hate.
As I was picking the petals off a rose, I heard familar singing. It was coming from the patio and it sounded like I'd just died and gone up to Heaven. Was I dreaming? I got up from the grass and walked towards the patio.
Guess who it was? It was Justin. He was singing some old song that I didn't know, but I didn't care. I almost started crying. I hid behind a giant bush and watched. Justin didn't do anything else but sing and I didn't do anything but watch.
I was ready to get up out of the bushes, when Kelly appeared. Justin stopped singing and then he and Kelly started talking.
As they were talking, I noticed the intense way in how their conversation was. I felt jealous. Justin never talked that way with me. I gritted my teeth. Just like Kelly to get good luck. She thinks she's the best out of every girl here. She walks around with an air that makes me want to barf. Why would Justin talk to a dorky goody-goody like Kelly Clarkson when he could talk to me? What did he see in her, anyway?
Then something happened. Justin commented Kelly on her hair and Kelly said something I couldn't hear because she was whispering and then...The next thing I know, they're kissing! I nearly fell from the bushes. I couldn't believe it! My baby was making out with that conceited little bitch!
And they were touching, too! But for some reason, Kelly stopped and made up some excuse for wanting to stop. Justin apologized. Kelly asked him to keep the little rendervouz a secret and he promised.
After Kelly left, Justin was still standing on the balcony. He looked dazed, as if he didn't remember what had just happened. He never continued singing. But he turned to the sky and said, "Whatever I'm here for, I've found it." And then, he disappeared in the house.
I couldn't think about what he meant just then. I was too busy thinking about what Kelly had said. I'd rather people not know what just happened. Hmmm...A plan was beginning to play in my mind.
I had to find a way to bring Justin into my arms. Kelly and Justin didn't want anyone to know about their little secret. But I knew. If I spread the word, I'm sure someone would spill the beans to Kelly or Justin and they'd get so mad at each other when one of them accused each other of the slip of the tongue, they wouldn't talk to each other. And Justin would be comin' home to me and I'd make Kelly look like such a fool.
Ryan, this was a dirty plan and I was sure it would work.

At breakfast, things were...interesting. Justin and Kelly were off playing everyone with their little game. But I knew something was going on (Duh.). I was impressed with them with this little game they were playing, but I was even more impressed with my idea. I was beaming. I was almost nice to Nikki, but stopped myself just in time.
"What are you so happy about?" Christina asked.
I smirked at her. The only people in the house after breakfast were Christina, Nikki, and EJ. Tamrya went  shopping with Kelly, Justin drove up to San Francisco to see his mother, and R.J was playing tennis with A.J outside.
This was the perfect moment. "Hey, what's happening!" I exclaimed.
Nobody answered me. I smirked. Without hesitation, I looked at all of them and said, "I wish you guys could have been on the patio early in the morning."
"Why?" Ejay asked.
"Well, I was standing in the garden and_"
"Were you looking for a special beauty secret?" Nikki asked harshly.
I glared at her. "Fuck you, McKibbin." I said sweetly.
She glared at me but she didn't say anything (And Kelly was friends with this chick?).
"Anyway, you won't believe what I saw! I saw Justin on the balcony, singing!"
"So? And?" Christina asked, shrugging.
I paused for effect and continued with my story. "Well, I happened to see him with Kelly."
Everyone stared at me. I smirked.
"And what's your point?" Ejay asked in pure confusion.
"Yeah. There is a point, is there?" Nikki asked, rolling her eyes.
Everybody began to lose interest in my story. Were these people morons or what?
"My point is that I happened to spot them together, if you know what I mean."
Christina got the point immediately. "What do you mean? I thought Kelly said she hated Justin's guts."
"Well, she changed her mind now. She's quick, isn't she?" I replied.
Nikki glared at me. "I don't buy it, Ryan. You're just trying to find a way to get Justin. I don't think Kelly would get together with Justin. She hasn't had any time to even think of boys."
"How do you know? I saw them! You aren't with Kelly all the time!" I said hotly.
"What exactly happened?" EJ wanted to know.
"Oh, you'll never believe it! There was a lot of fondling and kissing and rub_"
"Thank you, but you don't need to get into graphic detail." Nikki said.
"You don't believe me, do you?" I asked.
Nikki shrugged. "I don't care and it's none of my business."
"But don't you hate it when you get lied to?"
"About Kelly's love life? Honestly, Ryan. I think you're up to something. Why are you telling us this anyway? There must be a reason."
"Yeah, Ryan? What's the deal?" Ejay asked.
"Oh, I have my reasons. I don't really like Justin anymore," I lied. "I have my eye on someone else. I was only warning  you if Kelly or Justin does anything sneaky."
Christina smiled. "Well, if they are together, they haven't shown any...signs of PSA. And besides, should we watch them?"
I smiled. Christina was on my side. To my delight, she said thoughtfully, "I think I'll ask Kelly about this. And I hope she gives me an answer."
"Good. You do that. I'm glad you're on my side, Christina."
"I never said I was on anybody's si_"
"When are you asking her?" I asked bluntly.
"I don't know. Why do you want to know that for?"
I was getting irritated by these people. They were acting so nosy. "I have my reasons, like I said." I replied.
I looked at my watch. "I have a hair appointment, if you don't mind. I'm leaving, so see you later." I waved and walked away, leaving Nikki, EJ, and Christina staring at me strangely.
As I walked away, I smirked. I'm not stupid, Kelly Clarkson. If you think that you're going to have Justin, you're wrong, I thought. All I had to do was wait and sooner or later, I was going to have Justin in my arms. The thought of it brought tingles up my spine. Yes, all I had to do was wait. It was only going to be a matter of time.

I had another plan. A plan so good, I even thought about thanking myself for it later. You see, I have a cousin in the family who's a photographer. He's been hired to take pictures for Star and The National Enquirer. All I had to do was call him and ask him to spy on Kelly and Justin. It would be dangerous, but it was a risk he'd have to take. He's been in situations like this, anyway.

"Colin? I need you to do me a favor?" I asked my cousin sweetly.
I could almost hear Colin laugh. "Ah, anything for my famous cousin, Ryan. What can I do for you?" he asked.
"Well, this is sort of a job. You see, I really like this guy who's a fellow contestant. I've tried everything to get him to like me, but he obviously likes someone else, who's a complete loser. What I want to do is rain on their parade of starting something drastic. I want this guy for me." Colin was quiet for awhile. Then he said, "Well, who are these people you want me to spy on?"
"Uh. the girl's name is Kel_"
"Oh, the cutie from Texas! Kelly Clarkson! I know her! Damn, she's a good singer!"
I cleared my throat to hide my annoyance. "And the other is_"
"Is it that curly-haired dude? I forgot his name."
"His name is Justin. Do you want to know anything else?"
"All I want to know is how much I'm getting paid."
"Wait a minute. Don't I get a five-finger-discount? In other words, I have to pay?"
"Yeah. I don't allow anyone anything for free, Ry. Not even family members, as much as I love you."
I grumbled. "How much?"
"How long will I have to do this? A week? A day? How long?"
"Um..." I hadn't really given it much thought. Then I said, "As long as I say. Then you'll know."
"So let me get this straight. I have to stay in California, spy on Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini, and wait until you can pay me? Ryan, I hope I don't have to follow these two everywhere they go. I don't want to go horning in on people's privacy too much, if you know what I mean."
"Colin, it'll be only for a little while," I cooed, lying through my teeth. "After that, I'll pay you."
"Oh, and can you somehow get Kelly's autograph for Aunt Roberta? She watches the show just for her."
"Whatever." I said, shrugging.
"Okay! When do you want me there? I'm in St. Paul, Minnesota, right now, with my friend's daughter, Jody Lynn. I promised Kisha I'd watch her for her until she gets back from her business trip in Paris. We'll go the airport today and come to your mansion tomorrow."
"Good! Be here at around 6 or so, okay?" I asked. I was hoping he'd come tomorrow.
"Okay, Ry. I'll see you then. 'Bye."
"See ya." I said.
After I hung up the phone, I pumped my fist in the air. Everything was working out the way I wanted it to! In no time flat, Justin would be saying 'bye to that dork Kelly and on his way to me. Boy, I could hardly wait.
