Fela Anikulapo-Kuti would have been 59 on 15 October 1997, however he died on the 2nd of August 1997. As most of his fans recall, he was due to play at the Brixton Academy on 18th July of this ominous year. A performance well expected after an absence of over four years. We all awaited with great trepidation until the shocking news came to light...Olufela Anikulapo-Kuti may your soul rest in peace.
