Have you ever dreamed off a rail network on Railway Tycoon II
- The second century where all the supply and demand from the
cities are forfilled and work together to earn big bucks?? It's
extremely hard to do - and can take ages to link all of them to
each other - but I have found a way of severely shortering the
time.
To start - create a super network of trains - use one of the
cheats such as "powerball" and "slush fund" (They
work on Second Century too) and get about 10-11 trains. You can
link some of the goods together such as Coal and Iron to make
steel, but the good stuff is nowhere near yet. When you have
created this, (eg. when you have covered all the ground in the UK
in the tutorial) go to "start new company" Put in a
name and press OK. If you were like me you will probably fill
your pants, cos the network you have been successfully running
for the past years is no out of your control!!! - This is the
risky bit, and due to this ALWAYS SAVE YOUR GAME BEFORE STARTING
A NEW COMPANY. Use the "powerball" cheat a few times to
catch the investors attention, go back into your Old Companies
file and select to find a new chairman. It may take a few years
but you will get back into your old company again and gain
control back. When you look at your trains you will notice some 2
strange things. 1 - The loads on your engines will have changed,
where they have been rejiggled so the supplys and demands are met
and 2 - You will have gained about 40 more engines!! And there it
is, now your company works completely with other buisnesses and
you also have the other company you made as a competor.
It pays of to do this every 100 years or so, so you can benifit
from the new inventions such as electricity.
