April 16-18: Devils Lake Part Deux
With all the pike and walleyes stacked up on Channel A, one trip was just not enough, so some buddies and I drove to the lake on Friday, and then my dad joined me for a weekend run of pike and some nice eater walleyes.  Check out the pics for more proof that North Dakota is the place to be for the world's best in freshwater fishing!
Some great shots from Friday's 60 fish day.  We landed 40 walleyes and 20 pike in a matter of six hours.  Left - My first walleye of the day, a huge eight-pound-plus female which was photoed and released.  Middle - Mike's buddy Darren with a solid two-pound eater.  Right - Mike with a nice pike, which was around four pounds, a solid average for the day.
More great shots from Friday - Top Left - Darren with an eight pound slimer landed just after a rainstorm.  Bottom Left - Mikey and his first pike of the day, a nice five-pound fish.  Top Right - Yours truly with a seven pound female caught and released just after the wind shifted hard to the northwest. Bottom Right - Me with a big male that weighed in at five pounds
Right - Dad with some Sunday morning eater walleyes.  Middle - Dad wrestled this huge 34" female northern from the depths for a quick picture before releasing it on Saturday.  Top- A Highway 2 moose encounter.
