Spanky and the Cats

Spanky is a little dog, who loves cats.

He has lots of cat friends,

Eight, to be exact. They all love him, too.

When Spanky is outside, all the cats follow him everywhere he goes.

They walk behind him, beside him and in front of him.

Sometimes, they fall down on the

ground in front of him, or jump on top of him, playfully.

Sometimes, one of the cats will run ahead and jump into a tree, climbing high before turning and carefully climbing back down.

The cats run around so much that it is very hard to take even one step without stepping on a cat.

Spanky doesn't seem to mind, though. He just keeps on walking.

When he sits down to rest, all the cats rest, too. Some of them rub against him or try to clean his fur, just like he was a cat.

Spanky likes to be with the cats.

 

Every time the door opens, one or two cats will run into the house and hide in the rooms. Spanky sniffs and sniffs, following the smell of the cats. He runs from room to room, smelling everything, looking for the cats.

Spanky looks and looks until he finds the cats.
