“A Genie on the Hellmouth”

Chapter 3: I’m in Love with You

Disclaimer: I don’t own any of the characters from Buffy or Angel.

Summary: This is an answer to a challenge from BAU (Buffy/Angel University).  Buffy is a Genie who has been trapped in a bottle for a very, very, long time.  Then one day her bottle ends up in the hands of a vampire named Angel.

Time: You decide which season of Buffy this is set in.

~It’s not going to take place in any season.  It’s 2003. Sunnydale has not been destroyed by the first and Angel never left for L.A. neither did Cordelia. The villains are Riley, Forrest, and Graham and the Initiative still exists but practically no one knows it does.

Story Requirements:

1) Faith is the slayer of Sunnydale, the things that happened to Buffy in the show happened to Faith instead, except her and Angel are just friends, they were never involved romantically.

2) Buffy calling Angel “Master” all of the time.

3) Angel helping Buffy adapt to the modern world.

4) Buffy giving Angel a moment of true happiness, Angelus comes out, Buffy using her genie powers to put the soul back.  Because Angelus is a demon, he can not command a genie.

5) Buffy getting Willow’s help to put a spell on her bottle so no one can take it away from Angel.

6) Genies and Demons are immortal enemies.

7) Cordelia and Faith taking Buffy shopping for new cloths, each trying to dress her in their style of clothing.

8) Buffy and Anya had met before she was imprisoned in her bottle when Anya was still a vengeance demon.

9) Mr. Gordo

10) An evil villain causing trouble.

11) Jenny is still alive.

12) If possible find somebody new to pair Faith up with (not Spike); he doesn’t have to be a character from the Buffy or Angel show.

13) Optional: If you want you can give Angel some of Angelus’ traits/personality, make him a little more forceful.

14) B/A Romance, that’s a given.

15) Any rating

Giles sat in his office and sighed.  Three weeks had passed since he and Jenny had learned about the prophecy and the full moon was tomorrow night.  They kept the secret between themselves and watched as Buffy and Angel became closer and closer.

“Rupert what are we going to do?” Jenny asked worriedly. “Who knows what he could do once he’s lost his soul.  That’s why my people put the curse on him in the first place.”

“Jenny, I know you’re worried, but we’ll find a way to put Angel’s soul back in.  And Buffy’s a genie.  I think she can fight him and protect us from him.  Maybe she can even put his soul back in herself.”

“Wouldn’t that be wonderful?” Jenny sighed.

“Wouldn’t what be wonderful?” Willow said opening the library doors and coming in with Xander.

“I was asking Jenny out on a date,” Giles covered up for himself and Jenny.

“And Rup…Giles said we could go to the beach and I said wouldn’t that be wonderful?”

“Giles, that’s so sweet!” Willow squeaked.

“Who knew Giles had some sentimental feelings?” Xander remarked.  Willow, Giles, and Jenny all turned and stared at him, “What?!”

Buffy and Angel were sitting in the dark night by the fountain.  “I can’t believe it,” Buffy said.

“Believe what?”

“That I’m sitting here with you in your arms, looking up at the most beautiful night sky I’ve ever seen.  Master, how can I ever…”

Angel put his finger to her lips, “Shhh, you know you don’t have to call me Master, actually I’m begging you, please don’t call me Master.”

“Alright…Angel,” Buffy giggled.  Angel let out a small “mmm” of happiness at being called Angel.  They looked up at the stars for a few more minutes before turning their heads towards each other and pressing their lips together.  The kiss, at first, was tender and light, but became passion-filled when Angel gently flicked his tongue against Buffy’s lips.  She let him softly pry open her lips and let his tongue explore the cavern of her mouth.

Since neither needed air to breathe

“Professor, we’ve managed to locate the vampire,” Riley said, hanging up the phone, “I’ve had someone just confirm he was seen with some blonde in the mansion on Crawford Street.”

“Good work, Finn,” Maggie Walsh smiled, “Now we can launch our plan into action.”

“You found him?” Graham said, entering the room.

“Yeah, but I wonder who the blonde is,” Riley frowned, “Unless she’s a vampire, I’d think she’d be afraid of a vampire.”

“Well, we’ll just have to bring her in too,” Walsh stated, dropping some files onto Riley’s desk.

“There’s people who’ve been in contact with him,” Forrest cam in through a secret entrance, “a Mr. Rupert Giles of Sunnydale High School and three juniors, one being the Slayer.”

“The Slayer?” Walsh asked.  Forrest nodded.

“We should go see if they know anything before we make a direct assault on the vampire,” Riley suggested.

“All right,” Walsh paused, thinking for a moment, “Get your weapons. We’re going to Sunnydale High School.” Walsh and the three boys began to walk out of the room.

“Where’s Angel and Buffy?  Shouldn’t they be here?” Xander asked, his mouth full of chips.

Giles sighed as he leaned against the library counter, “Well since there aren’t any demons about I’d said…” All of a sudden, the windows smashed open and three people covered in black clothes climbed in.

“Dammit!” Jenny cursed.

“Get something to protect yourselves with,” Giles shouted to Xander and Willow.  They ran into the cage where the weapons were and grabbed two axes.

“Freeze,” One of the people said, as the three of them pointed their guns at them, “If nobody moves, no one will get hurt.”

“What do you want?” Xander said, holding his axe at bay.

“We need some information,” The person told them, “About a vampire.”

“We may not be able to help you there,” Giles said.

“Oh, I think you will,” the second person said (A/N: You all probably know this by now, but the three guys are Riley, Graham, and Forrest.), “You’ve been in contact with him.”

“The only vampire we’ve been in contact with is…” Willow started to say but was swiftly cut off by Xander clamping his hand over her mouth.

“That crazy vampire Drusilla,” Xander said, “Her and the bleach blonde of her’s.”

“A blonde girl?” The first person interrogated.

“Dru? A lesbian? HA! Nah, it was that bleach blonde boyfriend of her’s um...what’s-his-name?”

“Spike?” Jenny told him.

“That’s his name,” Xander smiled.

“You wouldn’t happen to know anything about a vampire named Angel, would you?” The third person inquired.

“They wouldn’t,” Faith said, “But I would.” She launched up in the air and did a split kick on two of the commandos, making them fall to the ground.  She kicked the third one in the stomach, sending him flying back into the bookshelves.

“Slayer,” The third one growled.

“Yep, that’s me.  The one’s who’s going to kick…” She punched him, “…your…” She elbowed his face, “…ass.” She grabbed his arm and flipped him over onto the table, knocking him unconscious.

“I love my job,” Faith smiled.

“Faith, behind you!” Giles shouted as Faith grabbed the second man who was ready to grab her from behind and flipped him over onto the table, this time breaking it.  He was now unconscious with his friend.

“Come on, big guy,” Faith said to the last one, “You scared?” The commando stared at her for a moment before simply turning around and climbing back out the window where he broke in.  After he was out of earshot, Faith said, “What was that all about?”

“They wanna know where…” Willow started to say but Xander motioned to the two guys on the floor, “…where this vampire named Angel is.”

“I think we should tie these two up and unmask them,” Giles said, “I would like to find out who they are.” Faith, with help from Xander and Giles, dragged the two men onto chairs and tied them up to the chairs by their arms and legs.  Then they took of the black masks they were wearing.  They both had dirty blonde hair and blue eyes but one was much shorter than the other.

“Eww,” Faith covered her nose and backed away, “The tall one smells.”

Buffy and Angel finished looking at the stars and were now inside eating pasta that Angel had made.  “Do you like it?” Angel asked.

“It’s delicious,” Buffy replied, “Why aren’t you eating yours? It’s excellent.”

“Well,” Angel stopped twiddling his fork and sat back, “Vampires only have a taste for blood.  If we eat regular food, we can’t taste it.  Smell, but not taste.  I sometimes wish I had my taste buds back so I could taste all this great-smelling food.”

“Your wish is my command,” Buffy said, giving her hand a wave and sent a ball of light straight into Angel’s face and throat.  Buffy smiled. “Go on, taste the spaghetti.”  Angel grabbed his fork and twirled some of the pasta onto it and placed it in his mouth.  A very loud moan came out of Angel’s mouth as he was able to taste and savor the food he made.

After Angel swallowed a few large mouthfuls, he questioned, “How did you…”

“You wished for it,” Buffy grinned as she resumed eating her pasta.

“You mean anytime I say the words wish near you, you grant it?”

“For the ones I can wish,” Buffy told him, “There are a few things I can’t do.”

“They are?”

“One, You can’t wish for someone to be dead, can’t grant it, only if the master is in peril can I wish someone dead. Two, I can’t make anyone fall in love.  Three, I can’t bring people back from the dead.  I can do time travel, but that’s about it.  Four, I can’t make a human a demon or a genie, nor can I make a demon a human or a genie,” Angel’s face fell, “That’s about all I can’t do.”

“That’s amazing,” Angel looked at her with much caring.

“Well, it’s not much, but to some people it’s…” she was cut off by Angel kissing her.  She broke the kiss for one second, “Does this mean I get to do whatever I want?” Angel just smiled and kissed her somemore.
