Highlighted Sentences below indicate what’ll be in this chapter.

And just so everyone knows, I love Old Navy, but I have to make Cordelia, well, Cordelia so…

~*--*~

Disclaimer: I don’t own any of the characters from Buffy or Angel.

Summary: This is an answer to a challenge from BAU (Buffy/Angel University).  Buffy is a Genie who has been trapped in a bottle for a very, very, long time.  Then one day her bottle ends up in the hands of a vampire named Angel.

Time: You decide which season of Buffy this is set in.

~It’s not going to take place in any season.  It’s 2003. Sunnydale has not been destroyed by the first and Angel never left for L.A. neither did Cordelia. The villains are Riley, Forrest, and Graham and the Initiative still exists but practically no one knows it does.

Story Requirements:

1) Faith is the slayer of Sunnydale, the things that happened to Buffy in the show happened to Faith instead, except her and Angel are just friends, they were never involved romantically.

2) Buffy calling Angel “Master” all of the time.

3) Angel helping Buffy adapt to the modern world.

4) Buffy giving Angel a moment of true happiness, Angelus comes out, Buffy using her genie powers to put the soul back.  Because Angelus is a demon, he can not command a genie.

5) Buffy getting Willow’s help to put a spell on her bottle so no one can take it away from Angel.

6) Genies and Demons are immortal enemies.

7) Cordelia and Faith taking Buffy shopping for new cloths, each trying to dress her in their style of clothing.

8) Buffy and Anya had met before she was imprisoned in her bottle when Anya was still a vengeance demon.

9) Mr. Gordo

10) An evil villain causing trouble. *BRIEFLY: They are just entering the story in this chapter*

11) Jenny is still alive.

12) If possible find somebody new to pair Faith up with (not Spike); he doesn’t have to be a character from the Buffy or Angel show.

13) Optional: If you want you can give Angel some of Angelus’ traits/personality, make him a little more forceful.

14) B/A Romance, that’s a given.

15) Any rating

“Master,” Buffy quietly entered Angel’s den.

“Yes, Buffy?” Angel turned around to look at her.

“Cordelia and Faith say the NEED to take me shopping,” Buffy asked stepping into the room.

“I’m surprised they haven’t dragged you out of here yet, the way those two are obsessed with fashion, in their own respective senses of course,” Angel said getting up.

“Well, you see they can’t,” Buffy finally admitted with the shrug of her shoulders.

“Why?” Angel started to look concerned.

“It’s nothing bad, Master, it’s just…well I need your permission to leave,” Buffy looked at him with begging in her eyes.

“Buffy, you’re welcome to leave anytime you want, just don’t leave me leave me, I like you a lot,” Angel told her holding her shoulders gently.

“You do?” Buffy made the mistake of looking into his electric brown orbs.  “I mean I like you a lot too, I mean not just Master-wise but…” She paused when Angel put his hand over hers.  She felt the cold sensation, and yet it felt warm to her.

“Go have fun,” Angel smiled.  “We’ll talk later.”

“Thanks, Master!” Buffy quickly kissed him on the cheek and ran out the door.  She didn’t see Angel’s hand run up to the spot where she kissed it, nor did she see the brilliant smile that he gave.

~*-(At the mall…)-*~

“OK,” Cordelia said taking a look at Buffy.  “The whole genie-look needs to go; people will notice you too easily.” Before her eyes, Buffy snapped her fingers and changed into a simple white blouse, jeans, and sneakers.  “You can change your clothing? Then what’s the point of going shopping?”

“This is the only outfit that was ever given to me, I kind of like it,” Buffy smiled innocently.

“Well, we’re still gonna get you new clothes B, you need ‘em,” Faith said punching her shoulder playfully.

“Buffy, who gave you that outfit?” Cordelia asked.

“Master Angel gave it to me yesterday,” Buffy said.

“In the three days that you’ve been with us, when did he have time to get you that outfit?” Cordelia asked.

“I don’t know, but one day he just came into my room and said ‘I bought you this outfit.  I didn’t think you had anything else to wear besides what you’re wearing right now.’” Buffy told them.

“So you can only wear any outfit that’s given to you?” Faith asked, slightly confused.

“Yea, that’s about how it works,” Buffy said.

“Then you are getting a major new wardrobe,” Cordelia said.  She parked the car close to the front of the mall.

“I can see the whole combat boot look on ya, B,” Faith said.

“WHAT?!” Cordelia whirled around to Faith, “We ARE NOT getting her combat boots!!”

“You’re going to get her Gucci I suppose?” Faith mumbled.

“Yes, as a matter of fact,” Cordelia stated.  The three of them got out of the car and went into the mall.  Cordelia dragged Buffy over to Macy’s first.  Faith sighed and followed them in.

“Don’t you think we should get her something more casual?” Faith asked.

“Casual in your book means black leather pants and a tight black shirt,” Cordelia said, looking at Faith with disgust.

“Well, yeah, but I was thinking, more along the lines of jeans, those crazy shirts that the people who aren’t cheerleaders, sluts, or rich people wear, like normal human beings,” Faith rolled her eyes.   Cordelia glared at Faith.  “What? I’m telling it like it is, C.  Old Navy’s a good place to go for casual stuff.”

“Old Navy?!” Cordelia whined, “But that’s where people with no taste go!” No one heard her as she watched Faith drag Buffy off to Old Navy, “UGH!”

Faith first took her over to a table of rugby shirts.  “You like any of these, B?”

“Well, I think the pink one’s kinda cute…” but before Buffy could finish, Faith had picked it up and dragged her off to another selection of cargo pants and shirts.

“Alright, let’s just get that shirt and get out of here,” Cordelia said, pushing her hair off her shoulder. “Buffy has to go to the stores with some class in them.”

“Old Navy’s a perfectly respectable store where people can afford to by clothes they actually like and feel comfortable in,” Faith said.

“Oh please, I’ve never seen you wear anything from here,” Cordelia snorted.

“You know, you’re right,” Faith ran over to the cashier, paid for the shirt and dragged Buffy over to Wildcats (A/N: I can’t think of the store that I have in my head’s real name right now, so I made up this one.).  Buffy looked a bit weirded out.

“Faith, all I have to say is…ew,” Cordelia said, “Look even Buffy is slightly grossed out by this place.”

“Come on, this place is awesome,” Faith said, “If we dragged Angel in here he’d love it.”

“So not,” Cordelia snorted, “He’s got better taste then this.  Come on Buffy let me take you to a real store.”  Cordelia dragged Buffy over to Saks Fifth Avenue with Faith reluctantly following close behind them. The store smelled strongly of many different perfumes.  Cordy immediately took some light colored dresses off the rack and placed them against Buffy.  “Yep, you’re trying those,” she dragged Buffy over to the shirts and pants section and pulled up about five matching outfits picked out among all the designs and colors.

“One question, Queen C,” Faith said, “How are you gonna pay for all this?”

“Daddy didn’t give me his plastic for nothing,” Cordy flashed her father’s credit card at her.

“Um, may I cut in for just an eensy second?”  Buffy said, “I know you guys are trying to be helpful and all but, um, do you think I could pick out my own clothes?  I don’t want either of you to argue over which of your styles is better for me to wear.”  Cordelia and Faith stared at her for a moment before what Buffy had just said had sunk in.    “OK, I don’t think what I said registered so I’ll say it again…”

“No!”  Cordelia almost yelled, “We got it, we understand. So, um…where do you wanna go?”

“I was thinking about a store back there called the New York & Co.,” Buffy said.

“New York & Co. is so…”Cordelia started to rant, but got two glares from Faith and Buffy, “New York & Co.’s good.” Buffy then led them over to New York & Co. and went in.  The store had its’ clothes neatly racked on the floor and up against the wall.  Buffy found a bunch of outfits she liked and threw them over her arm.  Faith was pretty impressed with the store and Cordelia couldn’t believe she was wrong about all the things she had thought about it.  They took the things Buffy wanted to buy and brought them up to the cashier and Cordelia paid for all of it.

Before they left the mall, they went into the Bath & Body Shop.  Then, they dropped Buffy off at the mansion.  Buffy found Angel inside reading a book by the fireplace.  “Hey, I’m back,” she said to him.

Angel looked back at her, “Hey!” he immediately put his book down and came to help her, “Wow, Cordelia and Faith sure did get you a whole new wardrobe.” He said looking at the many bags Cordelia and Faith had left on the front porch behind Buffy.  “Need any help?”

“Nope,” Buffy snapped her fingers and the bags behind her disappeared, then she snapped her fingers again, “They’re already taken care of.” Angel looked upstairs and then back at Buffy. God, how badly he wanted to just take her in his arms and kiss her.  Buffy was thinking along the same lines. “Well, um…” he thought of something, “I want to show you something.”

“What?” Buffy asked as he extended he hand.

“Can’t tell you, I’d ruin the surprise,” Angel replied to her.  She took his hand and he led her out to the backyard where there was a huge grass entrance to a maze.

“You have a maze?!”

“Yeah, I guess you could call it that,” Angel said taking her through it.  When he neared the destination, he got behind Buffy and closed her eyes while he led the rest of the way.

“Angel!” Buffy slightly squealed.  He quietly shushed her and led her to the middle of the maze, where there was a beautiful garden of many different varieties of roses.

“OK,” Angel took his hands off of Buffy’s eyes as she looked around and gasped at the hundreds of different colored roses.

“Angel,” she turned to him when she was finished looking around, “It’s beautiful.”

“If you’d like to stay with me,” Angel began to fluster, “You can have it.”

“Angel,” she put her hand to his face and stroked his cheek with her thumb.

“Buffy,” he looked deep into her eyes.  He slowly descended his lips upon hers as he began to kiss her.  She kissed him back and wrapped her arms around him and kissed him back.

“So, you think they like each other?” Jenny Calendar, Giles’ girlfriend, asked.

“Well, I saw some feeling there,” Giles said, “But I don’t think it’ll blossom into anything.”  Giles was looking through some books when a headline said Vampire/Genie Prophecy.  He began to sit down and read it.  “Oh, bollocks.”

“What is it?”

“She’s going to release his inner demon,” Giles said.

“Who’s gonna release who?” Jenny asked uncertainly.

“Angel and Buffy…it says here that they will fall in love, and on the night of the full moon, their love will fully bloom and Angel will revert back to his old self, Angelus.”

“But…that’s…oh no, Giles we must keep them apart at all cost,” Jenny warned him.

“Jenny, I don’t think we can,” Giles took his glasses off and began cleaning them, “Buffy by written law belongs to him and isn’t to leave his presence without his permission.”

“You mean…” Giles just solemnly nodded his head.  Jenny groaned.

A large black Hummer said across the borders of Sunnydale and stopped at a gas station.  Three men and a woman stepped out.  The tall, black man began filling up the tank with gas.

“Forrest, make sure there’s $30.00 worth,” the woman said.

“Yes, Professor Walsh,” Forrest answered, “Hey, Riley,” he called to a tall blond, man who was very lanky, “Can you give me a hand?”  Riley immediately came over and helped him.

“Graham,” Professor Walsh turned to the last boy, “Make sure you don’t lose these reports.  They’re very important in our experiments.”

“I won’t, Professor,” Graham answered, “Exactly why did we come to Sunnydale?”

“We must find the Master Vampire, Angelus, known as Angel around here,” Walsh told him.

“We’ll get him,” Riley said from the pump, “No matter what it takes.”
