Controllers : For the
serious hobbyist or racer we recommend Parma Economy controllers.
They are available in a range of resistances suited to T-jets and AFX
cars through highly modified magnet (Super G+, G3, Storm, etc) cars, are
serviceable, and are adult sized for better feel and control.
The job of the controller is to feed power to the car in direct
proportion to how much the trigger is squeezed.
A good match produces response throughout the range of the controller.
A bad match produces a soft response, i.e., you squeeze the controller
and the car does not respond until the trigger is 1/3 to ˝ way down the
resistor. Here the resistor has too high a rating for the car it is trying to
control. Equally
undesirable is a ‘fast’ controller response, here the car takes off like a
shot when the trigger is pulled back lightly.
This is due to a resistor with too low an ohm rating for the car you are
trying to control.
Controller handles are
translucent and come in blue, purple, red and yellow.

Parma Economy 35 ohm
controller – For the hobbyist or racer who races stock or lightly modified
Super G+, Tyco 440X2s or Life Like Fast Trackers.
Not recommended for t-jets. Comes with three wires, open leads, (no plug
or alligator clips). The third wire

35/45/60 ohm controller – We make these ourselves especially for the
racers with a few different cars. These
controllers are 60 ohms for stock t-jets, a flip of the microswitch and they are
45 ohms for modified t-jets (or stock Tycos or Super G+) and one more
flick of the switch and they are 35 ohm controllers for well modified t-jets
(super two magnets, mean green arms etc) or lightly modified Tycos and Super Gs.

NJ Hobby/Parma 70-80-90 ohm
controller – With the addition of a 90 ohm controller to the economy line, we
have been able to make a great t-jet controller for the hobbyist and the racer.
This high resistance controller is very good for controlling most stock
and modified (high ohm motor) thunderjets and Johnny Lightning/Auto World cars
as the high resistance allows the cars to travel smoothly through twisty road
courses without the jerkiness associated with lower resistance controllers.
