Teaching Philosphy
I have formed my educational philosophy on the firm belief that education has a profound impact on the human development and economic growth of our country.  Higher knowledge provides individuals with the confidence and skills necessary to move forward into society as strong and contributing members.  As teachers, it is our responsibility to nurture and support each student, encouraging them to work hard and achieve their full potential.

With a strong passion for learning, and the desire to make a positive impact in the life of a child, teaching seemed the ideal career choice for me.  I believe that education offers opportunities and challenges unlike any other profession.  Teaching provides variety, challenges, and fantastic rewards.  Having spent a number of years in industry as a research administrator and project leader, I will be entering into a profession that demands outstanding people and management dexterity.  My passionate belief in my subject and enthusiasm to pass this on to today's youth, I see teaching a natural career progression.  The experience that I have gained through academia and industry will allow me to enrich the learning process.  I remain a lifelong learner who seeks to learn new ideas and creative ways both within my personal and professional life.  Through continued career development and pedagogical training, I hope to bring innovative and unique methodologies and techniques into the classroom to ensure that each child is provided with excellence in education.

As a new teacher, I hope to untilize a balanced approach to teaching, taking the time that is necessary to reflect on the individual needs of each student.  I would endeavour to utilize both the constructivist style in combination with the objectivist style to assist students in achieving their distinct aspirations.  It is my belief that learning occurs when a student has the passion and support they need to progress to obtain more knowledge.  As teachers it is our fundamental responsibility to ensure that students are given an opportunity to learn within a positive and empowering atmosphere.

To conclude, my goal as teacher is to provide my students with a nurturing and compassionate environment in which to learn.  I want my students to realize how important they are, giving them the confidence they will need to move forward to the next level of learning.  My students will look back upon their time with me and remember me as a teaching professional who genuinely cared about each student; someone who always went beyond what was necessary to ensure that no child was left behind.
