I knew nothing about Doulas until I was pregnant with my second child. When I did learn about what they did I realized that was what I was supposed to do with my life. I had always wanted to be a midwife but financially it was not possible. Being a doula was a way that I could fulfill my life-long dream of working with pregnant women and their families. I took a training course in 1998 with ALACE. I have been a doula for single moms, teens and families of all income levels. Aside from being a mother, this is the most rewarding job I have ever had! |

This is my family. I am married to Richard and we have 6 children. Marcel is 12, Meghan is 10, Margaret is 9, Matthew is 5, Melanie is 4 and Michael is 2. |
