The 2nd New Jersey was honored in a ceremony that recreated an event that was two days short of 139 years in the past. The day that the regimental colors were presented to Colonel McClain, commander of the 2nd New Jersey Volunteer Infantry. The USV, parent organization, formed a formal dress parade with the 2nd as the color company. A speach read by "Governor Olden", presented us with a replica of the original National Colors in verbage straight out of 1861. Our Commanding Officer, Lt. Ken Friedman, responded to the speach using the words of Colonel McClain. A very moving experince.
