LINK OF OPERATIONS

The Electrical control power steering (ECPS) uses a system called Hydraulic Pressure Force Control, that allows to the steerability according to the verchile speed. The power steering control unit adjust the hydraulic pressure to reaction plunger by controlling the pressure solenoid valve located in the steering box to optimize the steerability.

The Speed Sensing Power Steering (SSPS) providing appropriate steerability to the driver according to the changes of verchile speed, this gives steering stability. In other words, the steering wheel gets lighter by adjusting steerability in stop or low speed and provides steering stability by adjusting steering wheel to become heavier in high speed.

INPUT & OUTPUT OF (ECPS) CONTROL UNIT

Electronic Control Unit (ECU),equipped with 8 bit micro - processor, first receives two inputs verchile speed, steering angular velocity.ECU then determine the ammount of current that ECU will have to supply to a pressure control valve.Pressure control valve in turn, control the hydraulic pressure in the power rack cylinder by utilizing hydraulic bypass mechanism like preventing (by leaking) smaal controlled amount of fluid from entering either left or right of power rack cylinder. The leaked fluid eventually returns to reservoir. Therefore,Electronic Control Power Steering (ECPS) provides the drivers with the comfortable steering effort for all driving condition.
