Welcome to the overt themes of stress and procrastination, of cramming and last minute preparation and finally, venting frustration against literary characters whose fault it most certainly wasn't.

In other words, welcome to the final stage of year twelve, as seen through the eyes of a self-confessed procrastinator with a penchant for journaling.

Or more simply put, welcome to This Mess I call my life.

This collection is a suite of poems all penned in free verse, written between September and October of 2006 by Nicole R. Each poem employs a light-hearted narratorial voice layered at times with momentary despondency, desperation and cynicism. Each revolves around such themes of stress and pressure, and the hope of emancipation. And they leave you thinking... Preferably not about the vast exploitation of postmodernism.
