Official Yucca Valley Website
WHERE?
Unfortunately, the Esteemed Members of the Board were all involved in a tragic accident which resulted in every one of them being raised primarily in an area riddled with homes like that pictured to the right.

Fortunately, most members of the board never lived in any of the aforementioned homes.

The area in question is the location of the illustrious Hi-Desert Chapter of the Richard M. Nixon Tennis and Debate Club.  The area includes but is not limited to:  Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, Morongo Valley, 29 Palms, Yucca Mesa, Landers, Flamingo Heights, Pioneertown, Wonder Valley, Johnson Valley, and Kingman, AZ.

WHY?
Why, you may ask, would someone start a club like this.  What in all hell's fury would inspire such an endeavor?

First, you must put yourself in our shoes.  You are a young person of higher than average intelligence living in a brown valley laden with lush cacti.  There is no mall.  There are no roller rinks.  There is no hope.  The most interesting place to go is pictured to the left.

A big damn rock.  Yeah.

Albeit a big damn rock reputedly frequented by aliens, it is still just a really big, extra-terrestrial, rock.

Boredom ensues, and the lost adults of tomorrow turn towards home videos for entertainment... and they happen across "Nixon," their holy grail, pictured below.
WTF?
It so happens that our young heroes and heroines, like many of the young people in their town, turned to physical activity for entertainment.  Unlike their peers, however, said physical activity was not making illegitimate state dependents in the back of an El Camino.  No, it was sports, and their favorite was tennis.

When the idea came to form their own tennis club, the Esteemed Members of the Board knew they were onto something.  They would be everything the Yucca Valley Tennis Club was not:  they would be young, interesting, and possess a mean age of less than 60.  Mr. Brad J. P. Napientek then coined the name, the Richard M. Nixon Tennis and Debate Club.  The rest is, of course, history.
The Road Goes Ever On...
As our Esteemed Chairman, Mr. Bradley J. P. Napientek has relocated to start the Orange Coast Chapter, Ms. Carrie M. I. Von Mueller-Rodham-Stoermer is now the acting chair for the Hi-Desert chapter as well as retaining her demanding responsibilities as Keymaster.  The Hi-Desert Chapter holds matches approximately every three times whenever they feel like it.  Said matched are primarily held at the Onaga/Hopi courts; though occupation by public enemy #1 (Yucca Valley Tennis Club) often drives them to use the Joshua Tree Community Center courts.  Feel free to fill out an application for membership.
