I have a 120 gallon saltwater reef that began on Feb 29, 2000.  I started with a four inch aragonite sand bed over a plenum.  I then added 50lbs. of Caribsea Aragonite Base Rock.  At that time I also added 50lbs. of Fiji live rock from the LFS that I work at.  My tank went through a pretty good cycle and about three weeks later it was showing zero nitrites and zero amonia.  On March 30, 2000 I added 100lbs. of www.gulf-view.com LR and 10lbs. of live sand.  On April 17, 2000 I added a pepperment shrimp to remove a few aptasia that came in on the LR.  On April 19, 2000, against better judgement (a little too soon), I added a small 2" Hippo Tang.  He came in with ick and after about three weeks in my tank, all ick had disappeared!  The next day I added a Bi-color Blennie.  The two of them would swim around together like best friends.  Since then I have added two Purple Firefish (unfourtunately one had a broken jaw when I got him and he passed on) and a Bangaii Cardinal.
