Want additional wave action for your reef tank?

If you have Maxi-jet powerhead and a wave maker you can add a new dimension to your reef tank. If you remove (saw) the directional tube on your powerhead you can alter the direction and pressure of your powerhead. Since the impeller doesn't always turn the same direction, each time the wavemaker turns your powerhead on, the water could flow different directions. Now, not only do you have the on/off benefits of a wavemaker, but you also have a multi-directional pump, AND you have a pump that has a wider stream, that won't destroy your corals.

The picture on the right shows where and how much of the outlet should be cut off. More can be removed to give a wider strem if you choose. Thank you to Ramon (MrSandman) for the picture.
