Elections will be held during the Monday, April 22, 2002 at 7 PM in Wirtz Auditorium. We hope all members will be in attendance as this meeting is important to ensure the future of AMA. At this meeting we will be voting to fill the following positions:
Director of Finance:
Balances checkbook with
monthly bank statements
Deposits money into
AMA account
Reimburses members for
expenses, writes checks
Prepares weekly running
total of the AMA checkbook (Balance, any deposits, any checks
written)
E-mail Nicole Rozbesky if you have any questions
or would like to talk to the current Director of Finances.
Director of Membership
Collects
new membership applications and dues
Updates information for returning members
Prepares an e-mail list of all members
Keeps a record of attendance points and points in general
Mails applications to AMA Headquarters
This is a new position that has been created for the upcoming schoolyear.
This position is currently performed by the Director of Finances, however
AMA NIU wants to give people who want to get more involved an opportunity
to do so.
Business Consultation:
The project begins with the selection of the business that will be worked
with for the rest of the year. The AMA board will assist with this selection.
Weekly meetings will be required between the business project leader and the
owner/manager of the selected business. A marketing plan will address the
goals and objectives of the project for the entire year. All of the information
necessary to complete this plan and has been created and would only need to
be tailored to fit the specific business. In addition, a complete project
folder will be available as a reference guide, offering previous projects
as an example for the business consultation leader to follow. Finally, this
year's coordinators, Amber Jacoby and Justin Banaszynski will be available
next year to assist this position.
5K Race for Meals on Wheels:
The 5K coordinators job will be primarily to build on the already established
race promotion folder. The organization of this race should begin in the summer,
and follow throughout the school semester. To organize this race a person
must be willing to work about 3 hours per week, with some variation during
the course of the semester. This year's race was planned with next year in
mind, so many of this year's costs will not be incurred next year. This year's
coordinators, Justin Banaszynski and Amber Jacoby will be able to assist the
coordinator with anything that occurs over the course of the year.
