Today is the day when I finally realized my full worth. someone did something for me that caught me so off guard, the guesture was small, yet meaningful. I felt so special, and of course it was something something that everyone can appreciate. living on campus has really brought to me enlightenment.
yes folks, we got BRAND NEW shower curtains! well, just thought you'd like that bit of info, I sure did! I mean, how often do you think about replacing shower curtains? once a year? *laughs* well, seeing those old things laying on the floor was a real eye opener you never realize how stained and dingy those things have gotten until you compare them to the nice fresh new ones. Anyhoo, I don't know why you'll find that of any particular interest, but I did.
also, I've been looking for a fun evening course, one in sign language, and I've been searching incredibly hard for this one simple thing which could fill my evening with something other then homework *as we all know, homework blows, and someone told me it reminds them of blueberries??? (he he he, u know who u are)*
annyhoo, I could NOT find one, so I was even going to go to the local college and check it out there, but lo and behold! on my way to english class there was a sign, from above bright as day! *actually I think it was pink* saying call this number if you want to do this type of thing!
actually, it's not for ASL (american sign language) but Signed English (the grammar is different, signed english is straight forward, but I'll take what I can get!!)
so, I am having a happy day, yet strange. I also, get this, I also got up early enuf to have BREAKFAST, yes you heard right, I had BREAKFAST this morning, in the caf, before my class!!! (so what if it didn't start until 9:30, I still got up before the usual "oh my god, 5 mins to class and I'm in my pjs!" panic :)
currently I am reading an interesting book. some parts I find dull, others really *think of how to put it nicely* word-y.
"never use a lavish word when a diminutive one will suffice"
obviously douglas adams has never heard of that phrase (which I doubt I remembered properly, but who cares?)
oh! silly me, *grins* the name of the book is *drumroll*
THE HITCH HIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY
(it's a trilogy in 5 parts. my book has all of them in one :) )
the first book is called "the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy"
while the second is "the restaraunt at the end of the universe"
and the third (the one I'm currently on) is " life the universe and everything".
the next is "so long, and thanks for all the fish",
and last of all "mostly harmless"
it's an interestins sci fi book, and teaches the importance of one's towel, and reading books with large friendly letters on the cover that say "don't panic"
I give it 3 thumbs up!
that's about it for now, I can't possibly think of another thing to say, except that I hope to be going home for reading break :) yahoo!
and that I'll be 18 soon *feb 6th, don't forget!* a nice happy birthday email would make me feel really special!! *hint hint*
