| T3 Competition Procedure Introduction Each match will consist of two phases, the Collection Phase and the T3 Phase. In the Collection Phase, the robots will collect the upside-down cups for points. In the T3 Phase, the robots start on the two starting pads in their base. They will then proceed to the Loading Area to collect a cup of their color. The robots should then attempt to place these cups onto the circles, which are in a 3 x 3 array. The first team to create 3 cups of their color in a row wins. If nobody can make a row within 5 minutes, the team with more points from the Collection Phase will win. The Collection Phase - The robots start on the starting pads in their base - They proceed to the upside-down cups - They will try to bring back as many cups as possible - The cups will have to be brought INTO the Loading Area - They will then be removed by a team member - Cups that are pushed out of the competition area will be replaced in their original spots by the judge - When all the cups have been collected, they will be counted and scored The T3 Phase - The robots start on the starting pads in their base - They proceed to their loading area - When they are in their loading area, its team may touch it or move it - If it is picked up, it has to be replaced back into the loading area - The team will give it a cup - When the team decides to do so, the robot then moves out of the loading area with the cup - Only one robot is allowed in the Loading Area at any one instance - Each team will try to bring as many cups to the center as possible in order to make rows - Only a cup that is COMPLETELY inside the inscribed circle will be counted - Robot are allowed to move opponents cups out of circles and replace them with their own - Cups that are pushed out of the competition area will be given to the team it belongs to, so they will have to bring it onto the field again through the loading area Note that competitors MAY NOT make any modifications to their robot between the first and second phases of the competition. |
