Also affectionately called Kaka by his followers, is a very
simple man. He stays at "Tembhi Naka",Thane, Mumbai, India.
He has shown us the ways of reaching the Sadguru, demonstrating the
ethereal light within ourselves, showing the presence of God in our
body. The God which is same in every individual, irrespective of the
caste or creed, irrespective of the deeds done in life (good or bad),
which can neither be created nor destroyed, which does not have physical
properties, transgresses beyond time, is at the centre of the universe,
from whom the world originates, into whom everyone blends after
perishing.
The awareness of God Within automatically improves oneself & prevents him
from sinning.
Our "guru-parampara" comes via Shri Moreshwar Maharaj (Moroba) &
Smt Durgabai Sathe.
We celebrate a Bhandara (when our guru blesses us & a
feast is arranged) on 15th August every year at Thane. We
also celebrate Gurupoornima as Hindu calendar (Aashadh full moon)
When again he blesses us, we do his pooja & give a token gift
(gurudakshina)
We also perform darbar, when all of us sit together and share
food etc.
He was born as "Dattatraya Ramkrishna Kulkarni" on 3/9/1855 at Daddi near Belgaum (Karnataka, India). He received blessings from his guru Balavdhoot. The lineage of our gurus (guru-parampara) can be traced to Shri Dattaguru at Ganagapur. Sadguru Pantmaharaj was quite well educated and was a teacher in Belgaum. His ancestral house is in Balekundri . He was married to Yamunakka and had a daughter which unfortunately died in her childhood. Pant Maharaj left us for his heavenly abode on 16/10/1905.
Belgaum is a big industrial city in North Karnataka. It has a railway station on Pune-Miraj-Bangalore line. It is well connected by roads and air too. It has lots of good hotels for lodging and boarding. The atmosphere is very pleasant, it being situated a little above the surrounding area. Balekundri can be reached from Belgaum within half an hour by city buses which have a good frequency.
